
There was no pleasure for Bia in the lonely life, she was happy that her children were alive, but such joy was hollow without being able to shre a life with them. She had to face it, the choices she had made were those of a bad mother. Perhaps she was a bad mate as well, but such things she could not bear to dwell on. She had lived, and loved, and now she was alone to wander Telk until she could find a way to redeem herself for her past errors.
She gazed about and smiled softly as she noted the day was pleasant and warm. Her nose twitched and she followed the river slowly stopping here and there for a sip of the cool water while curiosity made her move forward to find the scent of another wolf. He was not far off, and Bia believed she would be content to see him before going back on her way. It was always prudent to at least know with whom you share your surroundings, she thought.
