STUPID KATRINA. I like my house. I like my pets. I like my school. I like my life in southern Louisiana.... 20 minutes away from New Orleans... which is about to be... like I said... obliterated.
Well, obviously I'm not home now... I'm in upstate Louisiana.
They say that if it heads right up the mout of the Mississippi river, our whole levy system will break under the pressure. They say all of Souther Louisiana will be under about 25 feet of water. I live about 200 feet from the levy. My mom left our cats at home cry I don't know what to do.
The government is calling an estimate on deaths.
50,000.

My best friend and her family stayed home. They live about half a block from my house.

Wow, I just barely missed getting my own hometown obliterated(we got it before it became Colossus). I really hope your cats and your friend are okay. I had to go through the four last year so I know how you feel. U_U

My usual method of dealing with wemon under emotional duress is to sing to them, but, uh, i cant exsactly do that here. sweatdrop both becuase i can never think of anythign to say and becuase i'd rather sing anyway.
I'd remind you that it does no good to worry about things you cant change, but the lives of your freinds and pets are at risk. thats not a worry you can turn off. Assume the best, prepare for teh worst.
Bleh, im so bad at this.
the problems emotional, not logical. thats why singing is the way to go. i would use my music to influence your emotional state instead of talking myself in circles.

I really think you forgot that I sing too. It's my passion. Been singing in choir since 3rd grade. In a show choir. Music isn't helping me through this... But I did speak to my friend this morning. She's alright.

heh, making music yourself and having the Omnispork sing to you are two difrent things wink Has'nt failed me yet.

Ahhh crap. Yet another lousy event for you. No where for things to go but to get better though, right?
Besides. Change in life, be it for better or for worse, is inevitable. But no matter what is taken from you, a person can always look back on their memories fondly.

I think he just said it best............but I really hope you will have Fate shine down on you and show you a brighter path made by the change. I've learned through my life that change is usually always good, no matter the way it is delivered. I will think of you and hope for the best outcome. Just listen to your favorite song, watch your favorite movie and eat at Taco Bell, it will all be ok!!

My heart is with you & everyone who was hurt by Katrina!!!! cry
Boogie on down & forget all of your cares... either that or use my remedy...find someone you love & who loves you...give them a REALLY big hug!! All of the stress & saddness will leave your body because you will know someone is just happy to have you there!!! 4laugh
