Rules:
1. We respect, but do not directly enforce the AMP. For our less experienced counterparts it is suggested, but the rest common sense should reign supreme.
2. The Overlord is just that, The Overlord, and thus has supreme will in this thread. Gods...? Pfft. They give indigestion.
3. Psionics are barred unless permission is grnated by Mindblaze Dominion or am appropriate OOC representative. Tacitus, Torment, Ebil Mecha Pup, and Vincent of the Fire are among these. For attacking purposes, they are usually allowed.
4. There are few case by case basis restrictions on magic and/or technology based on common sense and ruling of The Overlord. Restrictions will hardly ever be used.
5. NO QUOTE TOWERS. Two quote boxes MAX. Excessive quoting will be warned.
6. Three strikes you're out. If you're out, you're banned for good.
7. OOC is frowned upon (Thats what Serk's guild is for ^_^), as are unflexible attitudes and outright bastardry unless you're me.
8. Attacking other guilds is encouraged, for all must be consumed into The Dominion, even if they happen to be allies. In which case, however, tact is to be used so as to not cause any extremist backlashes against the might that is The Dominion.
9. Enemy guilds *coughEEcough* are to be destroyed without prejudice and any representative of such are to be slain and absorbed into The Dominion to gain knowledge for future assaults.
10.

Story:

Mindblaze

In the beginning there was only the one, HER. It is not known at this time what gender this being was, or what the initials stood for, but this person was the beginning of it all. HER studied beings beyond even the Overdieties, delving into realms beyond mortal reach, closed to those destined to die. HER was fascinated with them, The Forbidden Powers of the Banished Realms. They were hellish beings, beyond all that sanity could comprehend, and this was unnaceptable to HER. Giving up sanity and normal life, HER became one with them. They granted HER might and a taste of their own, true, power. In return they demanded energy and consciousness, forcing the mysterious being to slay people during the act of sex to consume their mind, body and soul, offering the victims up to them. Slowly HER began to change, taking on small elements from those whom it slew in the height of passion. It is believed that the true reason HER is unknown in nearly everyway is that this person simply ceased to exist once the first was Taken.

Travelling the lands in a changed form, this creature, which had come out from it all as a being somewhere between male and female, no distinguishing attributes to tell between the two, and facial features which told nothing. This hybrid of an entity crossed the lands absorbing any it could, having gained enough strength to simply kill outright, no longer needing the aid of lust to drain. As it were, it's old tricks would no longer work anyway. It continued to absorb, eventually finding a beast which it had never been in contact with before, an illusion real enough to be called a man.

This illusion belonged to the Azure Phoenix, an Archmagi so far beyond any mortal comprehension that his illusions were indeed real enough to push the limits of reality itself. The Beast could not kill the illusiobn, but instead tainted it against it's master as they flowed into one form, the Beast allowing itself to be absorbed for a greater purpose. The deluded Image took a new name, Soulscour, whom set out to destroy his master and instill in him a certain fear, attempting to drive the Phoenix to instigating a civil war and taking over once and for all. Soulscour's attempts ended with his own grey matter splayed across the real Phoenix's bedroom wall.

The Beast was sure Soulscour would fail, it had been doubtless. However, it had caused enough trouble to be worth it and drew needed information about the nature of the Archmagi. The Beast was able to consume everything that was left of Soulscour, even though he had been destroyed. This set the Beast on it's path to take this man, this Azure Phoenix. An offering of such undiluted might would please his masters greatly. To this end, a plan was hatched, based upon the demoralization and weakening of the Phoenix over time, the taint of a mere consciousness into realizing it's 'true' place. The Phoenix's best friend tricked into playing host to the new Soulscour, the slow destruction of the Azure Phoenix was at hand. In a swift fulfilment of his purpose, the new Soulscour moved against the Phoenix, taking over his life and nearly destroyign it to a point beyond return. The Phoenix and his Ice Queen eventually recovered from it, but he would be weakened from it, his magical force stolen directly from the origin of magic, The Serpent.

With his best friend released from the grip of this maniac being, The Azure Phoenix set out to destroy the newest incarnation of Soulscour, only to find it already decimated by at the hands of a new being, which had promptly consumed Soulscour. This blazing mind set against an ardent heart and flaming soul, this Mindblaze, showed his face to the Phoenix, dooming him to death. He attempted to fulfill this doom, twisted by his own intentions. Mindblaze set out to absorb the Phoenix, but lost his bearings along the way. Sad, really.

The Azure Phoenix escaped from the deathtrap and an epic battle soon ensued between the two enemies, leaving both with barely the strength to live. A defeat for both, but a in truth a great victory for the Phoenix, as he had stripped Mindblaze of any traces of the desire to take him, and the being would no longer remember the Phoenix. Left weakened, with nearly all his memories gone, his knowledge of before Torment was lost, and the remnants of everything that had happened had been stolen away and trashed. All he knew was that he was little more than consciousness given metaphysical form, bodyless, and that he hungered for energy.

In gathering his energy he had unknowingly ceased to pass any to his superiors, beings that no longer existed to him, his memory blank. They were not happy turned to strike against him in anger. Once more, he was drained nearly to death, but this time lost nothing of his own nature, his desire for mind, body, and soul only engorged. He knew he needed souls and energy, and that to get them he needed power. Power meant returning the Mindblaze Dominion to its full former glory. He had to seek out anyone he could and convert them, willing or not.

Fifteen thousand, three hundred and eighty eight year ago, was it? No.There was no way to tell now, time had shifted too many times to tell when the Jinkou Oni came into the world. All that can be told is where and how, and what has happened since. All times involved would be haphazard guesses, estimates presented to give a vague idea of how things went...

Either way, fifteen thousand, three hudred and eighty eight years ago, we will say, the Jinkou Oni were created. On a distant world, in a country called Japan, the goverment had gotten into it's dull mind the idea of creating something entirely more powerful than any army man had ever known. A group of demons, artificially built through the mysterious powers of magiscience. The Jinkou Oni. If the project were succesful, Japan would become the most powerful military force ever dreamt. And if it failed...well, there were measures in place for such an eventuality.

The first attempt did, indeed fail. The scientists had hoped for a being of suppresable might and controlable will. What they recieved fit neither requirement, a raging maelstrom of hatred and vengeance fueled wrath. In terror, the scientists bowed before this being, hoping to placate as it demanded unerring servitude from each and every of them. Neko-sama was a harsh master, and it was the team's last hope that goverment measures would stop him. With the usual reliability of such things, they did not, leavign Neko-sama to march his way, cheerful, through a veritable nuclear wasteland and out into a world of freedom...

Ten years later, the first signs of a real success began to show, the second attempt. A group of six "Jinkou Oni," as this new race had been dubbed, apparently docile and controlable in nature. All was going well, the goverment hoped to feild test them within a month, when a seventh was born, and everything fell to chaos. For the youngest of the lot, the still infantile Damei, was Jinkou Oni of Wrath, bringing evil and hatred to all around her. Slaughtering everyone involved with their breeding, the Jinkou Oni escaped long before the goverment could take notice of events. By the time measures were brought into action to find them, it would be too late...

Anyway, if you b***h at me about somethign or other when you wake and check the updates, I'll have to go down to good ole' Nevadee and hunt you like a pig.

Home base - Description:

High in the mountains, where the sky is clear, thw ind is cold and the air is thin, lies an ancient plateau. Once the home of a weak, cave inhabiting people, it has long since been abandonned, it's people long dead. No, these days, the plateau holds a much more grim appearance, for atop it's massive tabletop peak lies a huge fort, ominous and forboding, it's surface seems to pulse with some kind of terribly corrupt life.
Covering about three fourths of the plateau, the fort took up about 2.25 square miles, 1.5 miles to each side. a massive structure, it's walls are perhaps not as imposing as the extravegant walls of other guilds, a mere 85 feet high, but they served their purpose, the large walkway atop them an excellent vantage point for the guild's automated bioturret defense system.
There seemed to be no entrance into this devilish construction, even from above, for there was no open courtyard behind the walls, only a massive, flat platform, barely four feet lower than the walkways atop the walls. If one were to watch long enough, it would become obvious that this platform was pulsating ever so slightly, as if in tune to some giant, slumbering hearbeat. As in fact, it was, for that was a the nature of the entire fort: a giant biological servant of the Mindblaze Dominion, it lived to harbor all that constituted the Dominion. The only way to enter unharmed was through the will fo the fort, which would recognize those directly spawned from the might of Mindblaze, and those that he had marked as allies. The onyl other way in would be to forcibly blow through the walls.
Inside, the MD home was a winding maze of damp, organic tunnels and lightly pulsating chambers, filled with everything that the MD could concievably need. Most important of all was the heart of this being, situated at it's very center, it was postioned atop a natural spring of energy, an ideal manner in which to fuel Mindblaze's power.
