Sighing, Narcissus shook his head. He was getting damn tired of all this heat--wasn't it about time for some rain? Of course, he wasn't a huge fan of rain, either, as it tended to muss his coat--but at least afterwards, the dust didn't cling to his white fur, leaving it a dingy color. Honestly, in weather like this, he spent as much time cleaning his coat as he did anything else!
Narrowing his eyes, he wondered if there was a watering hole anywhere nearby--at least if there was, he could clean up a bit, and turn his mind to other important matters, like hunting. Of course, hunting meant he'd need to clean up -again-, as there was nothing that stained his pale coat faster than blood from a fresh kill. Life was downright difficult, when one was this good looking.
It was in this frame of mind that he brushed past a bush, tangling his mane in the prickly branches in his haste. With a most undignified yelp as it pulled roughly on the fluffy hair, he was positive he'd lost at least a few strands in that initial encounter. Backtracking, he pawed at the branches, determined to, at the very least, minimize the damage...and hopefully, to free himself before someone else caught him in such an awkward situation.

Safi'dhamira was wandering the edges of the Pridelands, enjoying the idle time. She'd been helping her mother with her nanny duties a little, in addition to learning from Shomoro how to be a huntress, and it was nice to take a little time off now and then. Of particular interest to her was socializing - Mira just loved meeting new people, as well as keeping up friendships and acquaintances. Today she thought she might run into a scout, and maybe even tag along for a little while...but what was that?
Rounded ears swung forward. She could have sworn she'd heard someone! A yelp, she thought. Curious, and a little bit worried, she headed towards the sound. "Is there someone there? Are you alright?"

Wriggling, Narcissus fought with the bush, finally pulling himself free, just in time to straighten, doing his best to hide the desperation with which he'd been wrestling with the wayward bush mere seconds before. "I'm fine."
This was said a bit more brusquely than he might have liked, as he was annoyed at his less-than-perfect appearance. It wasn't fair, when he was so lovely, to have the image spoiled by the weather, and more importantly, such a vicious plant.

Oh! There they were! It was a pretty pink lion! Mira perked, but concern was still there. "Are you sure? You sounded like you needed some help."
