Born with the name 'hunter' attached to her, the young female had striven, above all else, to live up to her name. Unlike any of her siblings the cub had a hard time keeping quiet. It wasn't that she spoke an awful lot, ifact, she was quite quiet, it was that her paws refused to stay still. They seemed to find every twig, every stone, every rough blade off grass to stand on without her even intending it, so that despite her name, she wasn't a very happy hunter at all.
The midmorning sun rose above her head and pale, crystaline blue eyes looked up to the sky to watch it clamber towards it's zenith. She was nothing if she was not determined and today was like any other, she would go out and hunt for the little things, and today shewas determined her feet would be have. "Listen feet, you have to be quiet or we'll never catch anything." She giggles a little, she know it was silly to talk to her paws but she thought maybe they neededa little pep talk for them to be quiet.
Standing her pudgy cub body readied itself for it's trip in to the long grass by stretching every tiny mucle. Today, she would be a happy hunter.

((What's she look like darling? :3 So I have a vague color reference to go off of for posts XD *knows you don't have her yet*))
-Sahale was much like his sister, perhaps more so then many of his other siblings. But in a litter of such a great number it wasn't surprising that the personalities ranged so much. And though those personalities would likely mold in time with experience and age, it also wasn't surprising that some of them were blossoming quicker then others.
The black and yellow cub had been playing by himself, attempting to dig his young claws in the dirt after a wriggly little worm when he noticed the movement and familar voice nearby. And he smirked a little with the soft monolouge.
Crouching down himself, he slunk forward a few lengths until he was close enough, pouncing forward through the grass with laughable cubby clumsiness. He landed a few inches from his sister, but caught himself nonetheless, asserting playfully.- "That's right sis, be too loud and somethin'll catch you!"

((hehe sorry XD! Terema)) "EEk!" the multi-coloured cub squeeked falling backwards as her brother pounced her, her small paws reaching for the sky as she lay on her back for a few moments. She slowly righted herself and looked at the black and yellow cub her tail wriggling a little irritably, though she soon burst in to laughter.
"Sahale!" She squeeked, padding up to her brother to pull on one of his ears for his pouncing trick. "Don't do that!" She giggled "You're already a good hunter brother, I just wish I could make my feet quiet like yours." She pouted a little bopping his muzzle with one of her paws a playful pat upon his nose. She wasn't the type to hold a grudge but she needed to pay him back some way for frightening her nearly out of her fur!
"Well, maybe, I'm supposed to be caught then?" She raised a brow at her brother her tiny tail wriggling as she looked him over. "Maybe my feets are supposed to make lots of noise for a reason? You think I should ask mama Sahale?"

((Awwww pengy! How cute. biggrin ))
-His grin cracked wider at the dramatic response, tugging and pawing harmlessly at his sister as she first accostured his ear, and then his nose as well. And as she babbled on happily about this and that he listened mildly, stretching out his arms and limbs. Maybe that's why he'd missed, cause he wasn't all limbered out and ready. Certainly it didn't have anything to do with his chubby cubbiness and lack of much practice.-
"I guess you could ask her if you want. Or I could help you practice." -He stated matter of factly. Despite the fact that he was nowhere near 'good', he'd caught himself a bug or two in his young life, and that along with sibling praise like this was enough to give him the aire of an expert.-

((hehe thankies ^_^! I'v been trying to get her for about 7 months so I'm super chuffed))
Terema watched her brother quietly, a huge grin spreadin on her youthful maw as he stated he could help. "Ohh! I'd love that! What are we gunna go and catch? I bet we can catch a great big zebra or a heffalump oror uhm, one of those things with horns!" She wriggled her tail happily her forepaws tapping the ground in excitement.
"I'm sure with your help I can be really, really quiet and catch sumthin'!" She puurred her tiny tail whirring around like a small helecopter blade so excited was she to get her brother 'the expert hunters' help.

"Maybe we should start with something a little smaller." -Somewhere inside his cubby self the tiniest inkling of self preservation overcame the ego and excitement that would have had him agreeing with her. However he shierked it onto her nicely.- "We don't need to get all trampled over by a herd when you accidentally snap a stick."
-Swatting harmless at her once more, he bounded forward a couple steps, looking for something they could hunt down. Lessons along the way though he guessed.- "First we need to practice looking down and forward at the same time. You can smell and hear animals and stuff, so you don't need to watch them as much as you think!"
-Spotting an area with some downed sticks and leaves, unbeknown to him as a bedding and scratching post of some large prey beast, he motioned for her to follow.- "Come on! Let's see how fast we can get through this WITHOUT making all sortsa noise."
"Eyes on the ground!"

Terema smiled and nodded to her brother taking note of what she was told. Okay, so she could watch ehr feet rather than the thing she was hunting? Maybe that would stop her paws missbehaving! Sahale was clearly a genious in cubby clotheing, at least in his sisters eyes.
Following quickly, and rather noisely, after her brother she looked over the sticks leaves and twigs and bit her bottom lip. "okay so watch my feet.." She whispers stepping on to the leaf litter keeping a close eye on her 'noisey' paws. Unfortunately she lifted her head to grin at her brother and the moment she took ehr eyes, and her concentration off of her feet, they caught a branch, the ultimately a leaf and without meaning to the whole pile became a rustle of noise like a small herd of baby elephants was crashing through the long grass.
Sighing heavily she looked at her brother foolishly. "My feets just don't like to do what they are told." She pouts.

-It was going alright at first, Sahale slunk along before her, tubby tummy hanging just inches above the grass and sticks. Rustles were silent, delicate, and then all the sudden!
His head snapped back as the large clatter sounded, half expecting to see her tripped up and in a mess of it. Instead though he got eyes, and that sad sad pout. Padding back the small distance, no longer paying attention to keeping silent, he licked her cheek mildly. A tiny sign of affection and comfort.- "You have to practice like a million times Tere... You can't just give up or you'll never get there!"
-Small black and gold figure seated himself next to her watching mildly, silently he tried to egg her on to try again.-

Terema looked at her brother nuzzling him softly as he comforted her. He was such a good brother! She loved him dearly for being there beside her and helping her to learn to keep her feet quiet. She was fairly convinced though that her paws would always be noisey, maybe hunting just wasn't her forte'?
At her brothers kind words though she smiled and nodded. She just had to practice over and over and make her feet quiet just for a little while. She puurred at him and licked his nose in a loving manner. She felt very attached to her 'expert' brother.
"Okay, lets try again." She whispers, her chin set in a resolute manner as she got back to her feet, willing her paws to be still just for a little while. She didn't really mind her noisey paws usually but she wanted to learn to be a hunter, her name after all was hunter, she had to learn to be a good one!

-Glad to see her agree and wipe that horribly sad look off her face, Sahale stayed behind this time instead of following, ready to keep an eye on her. Maybe he'd see what she was doing wrong, or at the very least, he could warn her about her back feet, as those WERE the hardest ones to keep from stepping on stuff.
Following a strides length behind he watched with intensity. Little did he know, something else was approaching their little practice grounds from the other direction.-

For Terema it wasn't really her back paws that were the problem, her front ones just didn't like to stay still for any amount of time and the slow crawl of a stalk required that they were still and quiet. She personally thought they had a mind of their own.
With some severe thinking though she managed to keep ehr paws quiet for at least a couple of strides before she turned to look at Sahale for guidance. She hoped she was doing it right. Her ears perked as she heard something approaching and she tilted her head at her brother. "Was that you, or me?" She giggled, guessing it was probably just her paws making noise again.

-Good... Good... His mind voiced the silent sound in slow procession with each succesful step. As of yet she was doing really well, and that bolstered his pride slightly.
When her eyes turned back, he grinned widely in approval, when suddenly something touched his ears. Eyes and ears flashing forward, he looked for the source of the sound, tiny hairs on his spine sticking upwards as he whispered.- "It wasn't us."
-Creeping forward another step, and then another, he tried to get closer to his sister as he listened to another rustle, and a crack.-
-Not far away a young adult waterbuck was swaying through the grasses, looking for the bedding spot he'd made the night before. He didn't sense the young ones, not that it'd matter, he was nearly triple their size.-

Terema moved close to her brother pressign against his side. She felt slightly afraid. She didn't feel that anything in their home lands could hurt them, but this was some strange noise coming through the grass, perhaps it was their mother? "Mama?" she called almost hopefully turning her nose to nudge her brothers ear.
"Maybe it's mama? Or papa?" she whispred though her blue eyes showed how unsure she felt about this statement. "Theres nothin' around heer than can eat us is there Sattale?" She squeeked her ears twitching slightly.

-Subconciously Sahale crept forward as Terema pushed nearer to him, placing him a step ahead and in the way, even as he too felt reluctant to completely leave her side and that comforting feeling of skin against skin.
His stomach even began to flutter a little as Terema's worried whispers touched his ears. Something that could eat them? He didn't think so... but what if?!- "No, we'll be fine."
-He whispered back to her, even as his jaw clinched, showing teeth in the best bit of intimidation that such a small cub could produce.-
-The waterbuck pushed through the grasses, startled for a short moment at the life that presented itself before him. But it was short lived as he noticed just how small and young they were. Giving his hoof a little stomp he huffed mildly.- "What are you little kids doing around here? Go. Go away."

Teremea let out a long, tired, and very happy sigh at the sight of the water buck. She looked up at the waterbuck when he stomped his hoof and pouted "I'm s..s..sorry sir, my brother was teaching me to hunt, see he's a great hunter like mama and papa!" She gave a little nod, looking up with wide doe eyes, her ears flattening gently against her head.
"We didn't mean to disturb you." She manages looking at Sattale and whispering in his ear "I think he's mad at us, should we go?" She stutters looking back the way they had come. "mama will prolly be wondering where we are any ways." She looks up at the deer like creature and took a quick step backwards.
At least she had learned something today, even if it was only a little.
