The forum mods, and I'm sure a bunch of us has been thinking, that we should have an IRC chat. I sent Duo a pm regarding this and has allowed me to create a gaia runescape IRC chat. Some of you are familiar with the commands, and some of you are not
If you use swiftkit just put in your rsn then for the room put #Gaia_Runescape
So how do I register my nick?
You don't have to register, but it will allow me to give status to ppl like the the gaia mods and who helps out alot.
Server for those that actually use mIRC: /server irc.swiftirc.net
To register:
/ns [insert your rsn] email password [DO NOT PUT YOUR RS PASS!]
After you have done this you will get a confirmation email, then copy the code and paste it into IRC. Now your nick is registered. You may register more then 1 nick. If you choose to do so, you may GROUP [put all nicks under 1 name] type this command: /ns group [original nick] password [original password used for the 1st nick]
Voila, your done and your in.
F.A.Q:
1) Can I join this chat?
Yes!! Once your application has been accepted, you may enter the guilds Clan Chat [gaia clan] and this new IRC chan!

Rules
1) No flaming/negative comments/racial slurs etc.
2) No spamming of any kind
3) Respect your fellow Gaians
4) No power abuse (kicking, banning, demoting people)
5) For Half-Op+ No kicking without a really good reason. [dont kick for annoyance]
6) ALL RS RULES TO BE FOLLOWED
7) You can Voice anyone if you have the power to choose so
cool Penalties only given by Half-Op+
9) You must listen to AOPs, if there is no AOP then listen to Half-ops
10) If you think a problem arises, screenie the convo, and send it to one of the AOP+, but try to settle this by yourselves.

I really don't see the point of this since most of us don't use SwiftKit. Clan chat has worked fine so far already, but I don't see why not make an IRC.

Yeah that whole "GRC" Fiasco. Nobody gave a stolen d**k about that so called "clan". I can accept this IRC channel for one reason: We can use curse words in it....... right?

I am already in my max of 30 channels, but I guess I will leave them to come in there sometime.

EDIT: So Azn, you are an op? You are an ordinary member of this community. Refusing to give anybody op who knows how to use irc. I know how to make a channel, and you wouldn't let me change any options.
My question still stands. Why are you an op?

Alot of bad things would happen on teamspeak with everyone here I'd have a feeling.

Calm down a bit, Azn. I mean we already have a Clan Chat, that's all we need really?
I mean, i had the same idea when i first joined RA with all the new features that came up to me, it was great. Eventually i decided not too, this guild already has too many arguments and TeamSpeak would make it worse.
By all means make a mIRC but I really don't see a point in this..
