for those not in the know, i *adore* my pet cat socks. he's a spoiled brat, but i can't help but love the bugger. so, if i get a non-cosplay custom slot in a shop, or i get a custom in a shop i already have a kaylee in, i get it of my baby boy. heart

following is his description and reference pictures (mainly to copy and paste when i get a custom slot for him *lazylazy* ) as well as the socks-based pets i've received.

*warning* : the following thread contains copious amount of insanely, adorably cute. only proceed if you are prepared to be bombarded with win and awesome. you have been warned.

description

name: socks
gender: male
birthdate: early to mid-june 2007. i've claimed june 12th as the day i celebrate it.
species: housecat
breed: unknown exactly since he was born a stray. he is at least part siamese (his mother, whether she was full or part siamese is unknown). we are pretty sure he is part maine coon as well since he is huge but not fat.
coloring: black and white tuxedo
eye color: golden yellow
nose color: black
tongue: pink and scratchy
fur: super long and fluffy, shedding machine! curly or wavy in some parts around his neck.
markings: his main color is black with a hint of dark dark dark chocolatey brown. his toes on all four paws are white, and he's got an upside-down triangle of white on his chest - the top of the triangle starts *just* beneath his neck and the points extend almost to his shoulders, and the bottom tapers down his chest. he's got one small white patch on his belly between his back legs, and a slightly smaller white patch on his belly between his front legs. he's also got daaaaark grey (almost as dark as his main body color, but greyish hue instead of a brownish one) raccoon-like stripes on his tail.

accessories:
~ amethyst purple collar with a round yellow tag with his microchip number and a heart-shaped hot pink tag with his name and contact info (this used to be light emerald green, until he broke the snap that holds it together)
~ amethyst purple harness and light emerald green leash
~ ceramic food bowl - white inside, alternating white and light grey-blue horizontal stripes with yellow and orange goldfish on the outside
~ white petmate water fountain
~ lavender fleece blanket, roughly 5 feet by 3 feet
~ silver laser pointer shaped like a mouse, emits a round red laser spot
~ furry/feathery chocolate brown "tail" attached to a black plastic stick, and a small silver bell where the tail and stick are connected
~ leopard-spotted fuzzy ball with brown, tan, metallic blue/green and white feathers attached
~ various jingly balls

personality: he loves to sleep, but also loves to play, and goes through a period every day where he turns into "wild jungle cat" and goes crazy for about a half hour or so. he doesn't like to be held in your arms for very long (which i figure comes from being feral for the first few weeks of his life), but he loves to be petted, especially on his cheeks and chin, and will sit on your lap or lay on your chest. he will also let you kiss him right smack on the lips. whee his two favorite toys are his fuzzy/feathery tail on a stick, and a laser pointer. he will also play with any sort of string, be it attached to your clothing or otherwise. he loves anything fleece, and if he finds some will curl up on it and suckle it for a good long while. he tolerates a thin layer of water if he's standing in it, and likes to climb into the tub after you've showered, though he hates ebing bathed with a fiery passion. he is an indoor cat but tries to sneak outside whenever he can (hence the microchip). almost always comes when you say "cheecheecheecheechee" in a high-pitched voice (but make sure you have a treat ready for him! wink ), and has learned the sound of the treat bag being shaken. if there is something he wants to play with but he thinks it is out of his reach (such as his laser pointer aimed at a high point on the wall), he will chirp and chitter at it. he also loves people food (short list: lettuce, cheese of various types, bananas, pasta, peas, milk, broccoli, butter, carrots, yogurt, peanut butter, salmon and various other fish, watermelon, hardboiled eggs, apples, potatoes in various forms, bacon, tangerines, chicken, coconut, v8 juice, onions, tomatoes) and will sneak some from your plate or glass whenever he can.

more socks

i'm always looking for more chances to get my baby boy in breedables form. 3nodding and getting socks pets are going to be easier than kaylee pets, since i only need a regular custom slot rather than a cosplay-specific slot. i don't have any official list for these like i do with my kaylees, but feline lineart is obviously going to be most fitting. xd
