* Welcome to Sitara's journal ! I ask that you do not post in this journal unless you are another dust owner, an that you post ic-ly if you do so.  ____{ N a m e } Sitara means "star" in Hindi. Initially Silver chose it because he thought it suited her, and to continue a bit of tradition that goes through his family, where the children all share the same first letter of their name with their father (in this case, the letter S). Her family name is Virian, the same as Silver's, but neither of them actually uses it much.____{ Basic Information } date of birth» March 23, 2008

dust» Stardust - more specifically, dust that came from Alphecca, the first star of the constellation Corona Borealis, which eroded down to dust as he felt through the atmosphere.

essentially» MADE OF WIN.____{ Personality } Sitara is usually pretty easy going and friendly, to the point of being a bit naive every now and then. A person is worthy of trust and friendship until he or she proves her otherwise, and she tends not to take rumors in consideration in how she judges others initially. She is a bit impulsive and dislike inaction and having nothing to do. She's got a bit of a weak spot for fuzzy, cuddly animals and, much like her "papa", likes to travel and learn. She's a very curious and somewhat inquisitive one, but overall she prefers to make the effort and learn on her own.
But there is more to the young girl than that. First of all she does not enjoy most of the things little girls her age does, and seems more like "one of the boys", so to speak. Sitara also seems to subconsciously think everyone she likes fall under her protection... no matter if said person would do a much better job doing it themselves. When provoked or angry she is much more fierce and cocky than one of her temperament should be expected to be, and while she doesn't go out of her way to pick fights, she had no issues against starting one if something's irritating her enough. Neither does she fight particularly.... fairly. Her good side is a much better place to be than her bad side.____{ Physical Attributes } Sitara is about 4'1", a tad on the small size for her age, her skin is yellow-ish with a few swirls-like markings. Her eyes are yellow and her hairs are rainbow-like, shifting in color as they grow with a single white bang, and it is cut shoulder-length. She perfect clothing that is practical instead of "pretty" - usually some kind of short-sleeved top with capris and her black boots. As well as her hat. Do not touch the hat if you wish to remain in one piece. She has small yellow wings, which she cannot use to fly just yet - the tips of the feathers disintegrates like the tails of a shooting star.

 ____{ N a m e } Silver was named mostly because of his gray eyes - an uncommon trait in his family. That, and it also fit the trend in his family to have the name of each child start with the name of the father. His last name is Virian, but he doesn't use it much anymore, especially since he hasn't seen the rest of his family in years.____{ Basic Information } date of birth» December 29. He never really divulged the year.

essentially» The rich wanderer____{ Personality } Silver is quite surprisingly gentle, a bit guarded to people he doesn't know, but a total teddy bear once you manage to pierce through his defenses and he starts to consider you a friend. His upbringing as upper-class didn't quite get to him as much as it got into his siblings, and most of all he remains carefree. He'd given his spot as the heir to his family estate for the freedom to wander around the world and learn everything he possibly can before he dies, and he has a soft spot for children. He loves taking care of them, watching over them, and teaching them. The thought of having children of his own hasn't quite hit him yet, as he's yet to find a lover and / or have any reason or want to settle down anywhere.
...Needless to say, Sitara is probably going to be a bit spoiled.____{ Physical Attributes } Silver is pretty tall, standing at around 6', and has an average built. He's not a stick, but he's no bodybuilder either. He tends to prefer clothes that help him blend in - he's often seen in a ratty old trenchcoat with a black shirt and black pants underneath. His white hairs are chin-length, and tend to spike up somewhat awkwardly at times. The simple combinations of his white hair and dark skin in enough to catch the eye rather easily, and for people to recognize him once he returns to places he's already visited.____{ Some Backstory } Silver is the elder child of the Virian family. He grew having everything he ever dreamed about and everything he asked, everything but the attention of his parents, that is, as they where mostly busy working, or watching over the younger ones. The only happiness he could find was in the many books that where in the library, but by the time he was a teenager he had read them all... And he was still forbidden to leave the manor he had spent his life secluded in.
When he turned 18, he had enough. He gave up the spot of the eldest child to his brother, Syrian, for the freedom to do as he please, and enough money to get himself started off. His parents where not happy with this choice, as they had already arranged him to marry another nobleman's daughter, but their son was now an adult, and they could not hold him back. However, they gave him much more money than he'd asked for, and asked that he drops by every now and then.
Since then, he's been wandering - discovering the world, going from region to region, doing a few odd jobs there to occupy himself, only to eventually get going somewhere new. Most people know him as the wanderer, and he's mostly greeted warmly when people recognize him, as he's generally helpful while he is staying somewhere and willing to try his hands at the most dangerous jobs. He'd come in contact with his family, but they where mostly cold to him - he hasn't had any contact with them for a year or two, thinking that if they would actually care to know about him, they more than had the means to find him.

 ...A particularly rainbow-y bottle. Very pretty. I found it on the outskirts of the Whi forest - just that alone should have tipped me on the fact that there was something special about it... It's... It's glowing ? I've got to figure out what's up with this ! A.. A child. Came out of the bottle. Oddly I feel like I don't really care about that. Sitara.... my daughter. My little girl. If anyone seeks you harm, they will have to go through me first.

Oddly enough, Silver has an actual home on his own - in the city of Amies, as the city-on-water always fascinated him, and this is also his birthplace. This isn't exactly a big space - enough for him and a guest, should he have one. He isn't too fond of huge mansions anyway - mostly due to being all but trapped in one in his youth.
When Sitara will be born, he will mostly settle down, if only for her own sake, until she's old enough, and bring her on small trips to quench his wanderlust. Once it is discovered that Sitara has a wanderlust on her own, the two will probably undertake bigger travels.

 This is Jiro, a gray tabby, about one or two years old (Silver lost count). Jiro's been abandoned by his mother when he was a kitten and Silver has bottle fed and pretty much saved him from certain doom. The cat is one of those snuggly, lap-warmer types, and follows Silver near-constantly, even in places where he's not allowed to. He's one hell of a crafty feline, that's for sure.
He has a fuse on his head - and no one knows why. Perhaps it had to do with why he was abandoned as a kitten ?

He's been drifting in space again, content in the silence until his sister called for him. The star sighed - as he could while wearing his more human guise - and twirled, leaving a path of the yellow dust in the inky blackness around him. "You shouldn't be here, Nusakan. It's dangerous - we are pretty close to the planet."
"And why are you then ?" In a flash of light, she shifted - took her more human guise as well - a thing her brother has shown her, and settled to hover beside him. "Mother was looking for you."
"She just wants to yell at me again, I presume." He rolled his burgundy eyes, stare returning to the planet below. I can't see anything from here... I can't see them. Maybe if I get just a little closer... But I can't with Nusakan here - she'll follow me. If I get stuck, I don't want her here.
"Probably. You shouldn't be doing this - you know what happens to stars that falls, brother."
"Calm down, Nusa - I have no intention to fall. Only the old ones fall." He gave a smirk - he was in no way old at all. A few centuries, but that was nothing for a star. "Nothing can pull me down."
"What is so interesting about the things down there, anyway ? They are bound to the ground. Seems like a sad fate to me."
"I don't think I could explain it in a way that would make sense to you, but they are fascinating. And so are the things they build. They have all short of odd things then, and they have to build things to shelther themselves."
"A sad fate indeed." Nusakan twirled, becoming but a beam of light again. "You should come back soon - mother's only going to be more irritated if you stay here too long."
"Hm-m." Alphecca strugged, and watched as she left. Good.
He started to let himself fall, closer and closer. Maybe he'll truly see then. Maybe he'll be able to understand.
Only, when he realized he couldn't pull himself back up, it was already too late...
