I need to get some instant messengers. Microsoft hates me and won't let me get MSN until I upgrade my OS, though.

I tried Windows Live Messenger, but it won't let me use it until I upgrade my OS.
My SN is DarkMazer on AIM.

You can sign on all three of your messengers at once. But, if you mean MSN guy chatting with AIM person, then that's unpossible!

Trillian and Pidgen are multiprotocol messenging clients that can connect to AIM, MSN, etc. They can be downloaded for free.
Meebo can do the same job, also for free, except it's in-browser, which is convenient, if not frustrating to use.

www.flickim.com lets you log into all of them at the same time as well
