The stallion ran swiftly in the dying light, body shining fiercely against the sunset. His head looked eagerly forward, ears pricked ahead as cloven hooves flew upon the earth. He lived for this. The feeling of the speed, of the freedom, of the release. And at twilight, his favourite time of the day. It was perhaps fitting, as his colouring seemed to lend itself to his preference quite nicely.

Tong Hua slowed to a trot as he noticed a river that flowed languidly to the east. Making his way over, he snorted a few times to clear his lungs, and then drank deeply. Yes, it was a good time of day, in his opinion anyways. He glanced back in the direction he had come from. So much land travelled, so much to travel still. He didn't expect that he'd ever stop, the idea of settling had just never really appealed to him. He enjoyed wandering, letting his feet take him where they would. It seemed to make life more interesting that way. Lots of places to see, qilin to meet. Still, in this particular area he hadn't seen any others like himself for quite a while. It disappointed Tong Hua a little, he had hoped to meet a few others before he reached the edge of this land. But no matter, perhaps he would meet some later.
