Shi'n'afey was bored, twitchy irritable and above all really hungry. He'd had a busy night scuttling around after some of his fellow raiders making sure that everything they'd been sent to bring back down from the surface had been brought down in one piece and he'd even managed to steal a number of the best bits and pieces for his matron himself, that would earn him bonus points he was sure. They'd had a raid on a small settlement of travellers that had sprung up not far from one of their cave-like openings to the surface world, and he was still buzzing from the rush of it. Breaking peoples necks made such a satisfying noise, he really did enjoy his job. Usually if the target was likely to be a threat the warriors were sent up first, but a small group of travelling nomads had caused no problems at all for the party of raiders, and they had easily helped themselves to whatever was even remotely appealing to them. From the left over spoils Shi'n had himself picked up a rather amusing veil like head-dress, and had spent a goodly while now running around and flapping it in other peoples faces. He was slowly growing tired of this game however and rather wishing for something better to do. The warriors tied to the G'eld family it was reported were making a larger raid on a town later that night and the raiders were to follow them, that was an exciting bit of news, as there was nothing like death and thievery of the surface folk to darken his day into perfection. Shi'n looked around him again, his mismatched eyes helping his slightly crazy expression along. What to do in the meantime... he wiggled the veil he was holding thoughtfully.

Kalan'afae yawned, the motion looking like it was really trying hard to split his face in two, as he stretched out, one hand up on his bare shoulder as he rolled it a few times, the rotations in the socket feeling oddly good. The tiredness he could have done without, but damn the best part of waking up had to be the stretching, it always felt so good! The cause for waking up, he really could have done without.. Yes, there was a raid plotted for a later date, he was part of the small command of warriors going in first to deal the deathblow needed to decimate and thusly capture the town.. Why the raiders had to stay so close to the warriors was anyones guess. He refused to see why it made sense, he knew it did but still. He liked his sleep, he very very much liked being well rested before a good fight. There was something so methodical when it came down to splitting skulls and he liked a good meditation of sleep to harmonise himself for it. Sadly, the other drow they were outfitted with thought otherwise.. He grumbled a little more as one in particular seemed intent on making much more of a ruckus that any of the others..

Shi'n continued his capering around the tunnels, it was really amusing watching the warrior type drow startle horribly as the sheet of pale lilac gauze flew out in front of them from around a corner, who knew how much fun you could have with fabric? He was cackling quietly to himself, another victim down when he had a thought... there was one warrior he had not seen around yet... a certain warrior who's attired gave him endless amusment! One he'd grown up with and was still at least for the most part rather close to! With a delighted grin on his face Shi'n whooped once with delight and started off down the pathway he knew would quite quickly lead him to his friend, Kalan's quaters, with the forced of lord only knows what he flung himself flat up against the door, shaking it slightly on its hinges and thumped his fist a couple of times against the wooden pannels. "Kaaaaaaalaaaaaan!" He called in a rather higher than he usually spoke with, "Wake up you sleepy head! We have fun and mangling to attend to, I'd hate for you to miss out on the gory fun fun fun!" he laughed again, the same slightly cackle like laugh. It was hard to believed that he could ever be calm when you saw him as excited as this, admittedly it was a rare thing for him not to be acting as if he'd managed to ingest a large batch of questionable fungi.

The warrior all but flew away from the door in utter shock, with a similarly startled noise to match. "Shi'n!! You inbred, b*****d!" Was all he could manage as he pulled the covers around himself, having thankfully fallen onto his bed. He had never liked sleeping in much if indeed anything at all, and he knew that the lock on these temporary quarters were not at all that good, and he had found out the hard way in the past that his childhood friend had a knack for knowing these sorts of things. "I am awake you git!" He hollered back, an outraged little look creeping across his features as he bunched the covers around himself more firmly, "It's hard to sleep at ALL with the ruckus you cause, let alone the rest of your gang!"

The delighted cackle that followed showed how happy Shi'n really was to hear his friend awake and in fine spirits. "You'd better be decent!" He sing-songed, giving the door a firm nudge with the bottom of his foot a few times in just the right place until it opened to admit him. He quite happily flung himself inside and onto his friends bed, and consequently, his friend, the large amount of lacy fabric still in his hands as he flopped down. There was to be no peace though, as a few moment later his arms were up and he began trying rather energetically to put the gauzy purple fabric neatly on his friends head. "Oh Kalan! I always knew lilac was your colour!" he stated happily, the grin he usually wore still plastered on his face, "C'mon! If you wear this it might detract from the fact you never did find the other hlaf of your top!"

No creature in the world had a good enough voice box to reach the pitches that Kalan'afae wanted to reach in his utter anger and embarrassment as his long-standing pest of a friend let himself into his room then let himself onto him. "Shi'n! Get.. Get off me!" He sputtered as he was assaulted by the raider with a heavy body and with.. Some hideous fabric.. "And you know I'm not decent! If you don't move soon I'll flash you again! I'll do it! I'm not above it!" He argued while weaving to and fro rapidly to attempt to evade the veil making it's way back onto his head, and certainly before Shi'n had time to semi-permanently attach the thing to his head. "I don't need the other half either! I've not needed it since you stole it, and I know it was you! And I won't need it in the future! I'm fine!" He continued grouching. His mood never became anything friendly than it already was until he had had his fill of food for the morning. Then and only then did the short male become a more approachable person. Indeed if a single drow were to be selected for a sting attack, Kalan'afae Cladd'rret would be the first choice, so long as he was denied his morning meals.

"How do you know I won't like it huh huh huh?" Shi'n queried, making yet another swipe at his friends head, "It wouldn't be the first time anyway!" the grin on his face was wicked for a moment as he moved back a very small amount before pouncing like a coiled spring at his friend, trying to flatten him onto the bed so as to be able to affix the lilac monstrosity he was wielding to his friends slightly wild hair. "And why would I steal half a shirt... I have more style than that.." he stated, his voice a little strained from his efforts to play dress up with his best friend... "Igotanewtoytoday.." he stated suddenly, so quickly that the words merged seemingly into one, "Its fun and it makes a ringing noise..." he grinned slightly, "I'm going to put it on a salamander and let the drider chase it, its always fun.." yes, he'd picked up a bell while up on the surface as well and the obnoxious clanging noise it made struck him as delightful, and he liked the notion of some little crature ringing out a warning of where it was... "Bel would put it on the drider.. I could ring it over Bel... Bel's Bell!" He chuckled.. "What do you think Kalan, Bel, Drider or Salamander..." he paused again, "I need another cow..."

Kalan continued his weaving, not yet ready to admit defeat, though he was starting to lose hope that he was going to be able to escape without some form of humiliation by his so called friends hand. "Well I would hope you wouldn't!" He grunted between his thrashes, "I hope that we are at the level that we know each other well enough.. Not.. Not to enjoy each others nakedness anymore.." He continued, making an attempt to plant a knee against Shi'n's side to lever the insane fabric wielding drow off his body. He had to give Shi'n credit, he had become an expert in pinning his victim's these days, there was no obvious route of escape.. THat or it was plain luck, a lot of the time he doubted if thoughts such as method crossed his friends mind. He gasped a little as his friend became suddenly very much distracted by the topic of his new 'toy' though the thought instant gave him a sinking feeling it the pit of his very empty stomach. "Bel's.. Bell..?" He looked confused for a moment, he wasn't all to familiar with the structure of the G'elds house, he knew of a young drow who he thought was Bel, but he couldn't say for sure. He had only delt with the family when he had been roped in to re-capture their latest pet, which left him wondering about the state of the houses sanity. Who in the underdark aside them would want to keep a drider. "Shi'n.. Shi'n you've lost me.." He admitted at long last, using the oppertunity to once again try to knee his friend off his stomach.
