Fred clung to Adain's hand. He was taking them to day care today. Reiha was off at Eriks, but they didn't get to go because Erik couldn't handle the toddler's needs. So Chel and Adian found a nice day care. They been going for about a week but Fred wasn't anywhere near comfortable yet. George slipped right in, but he delt well with people. He always said the right thing at the right time, but Fred...well Fred didn't speak at all yet.
He didn't know that meant the day care people were looking at him funny. Most kids his age were speaking sentences, Fred bearly spoke words. He didn't need too, George always knew what he wanted, when he wanted it.
"Come on Fred, I need to head to work." Adain smiled down at the boy, amazed at fatherhood still. He didn't know he could love so many people so deeply. "You two be good, George." He added giving the trouble maker of the two a look. Then he smiled and kissed them both. "I'll be here at three to pick you guys up. I'll have Reiha with me, then we're going to surpise Mommy at work, alright?"
Adain liked to 'surpise' Chel now and then, just to make sure she wasn't over doing it now that she was back from maternity leave. He took careful note of all the signs and refused to let Chel start to fall. That was his job as her husband, to care for her and pull her back from the edge.
Fred nodded once, eyes owlishly full as he stared at his father. He let go of Adain's hand but only to latch on to George. He hated this time the most. When Adain left. During the day he got use to having no family around but George, but the first shock awlays hurt, sometimes he cried but he promised Daddy he wouldn't. So he wouldn't.

George took his brother's hand easily. He had adapted to school much easier than Fred had. He was talkative and active and social. It was just his nature. He'd hidden his language skill from the other children, however, unsure of how to control it himself yet, though he was holding it as a trump card in case he needed to impress anyone.
"We'll be fine, Dad." George said easily, nodding at his father, before turning to Fred. "Come on Fred. If we get in early, we can get the best crayons before the girls do." He said, trying to encourage his silent brother to be more enthused.

"Daddy" Fred whispered, once as Adain waited. He hated that look in Fred's eyes but there was nothing he could do. Adain knew not only would Chel go mad as a stay at home wife, they finacially couldn't afford it. It might scrape his manhood a bit but Adain knew Chel made more money than him.
But hey, she was brilliant, and funny, and beautiful, and sexy and...he better stop that train of thought. Ether way he could quit his job but...hell, he'd go mad too. He needed to be around some guys, that weren't related to him, so he could just be sane. Besides, he been working there a while and might get a managing postion sometime.
The benifits would help his kids.
"Have fun you two." he called out, not leaving until after they couldn't see him anymore.
Fred pouted a bit, but glanced at George. At least he still had George. He didn't know what he do without his brother. He tugged on his arm, a silent plea for George to not leave for his other friends just yet. Or more adaptly, tug him along as he talked to his other friends.

George waved to his father as he left before turning to Fred and smiling. He felt his brother's tug and sighed. "You know they like you too, even if they can't understand you." He said softly. His little group never complained about his brother, but there were many remarks about how quiet he was, compared to George.

Fred just shook his head. He wasn't sure about them yet. They were loud and bossy. Well so was George but it was different. He just didn't...like that he and George couldn't be alone ever. If they were a teacher would come over and talk really soft and really slow. As if Fred was just going to cry any minute.
He was no cry baby or nothing, he just didn't like to be alone, really. And he didn't like playing with the kids a super lot. Some of them were okay. One girl, Julie, she was nice, soft and shy and they could play without needless noise and such and she never pushed him to talk.
"Crayons" Fred just pouted. He liked drawing, a nice quiet activity.

George nodded, looking over at his group and waving, but he didn't move away from Fred. George could be more talkative, but anyone who cared to notice, which only the teachers did, would have seen that whenever he was away from Fred, he seemed jittery, glancing over to where his brother was/had left from constantly. The teachers just assumed he was looking out for the quiet twin.
No one figured it was because George needed Fred too.
Picking up the box of crayons he set them down, looking up at his twin. "m' gonna draw our house.." He said. "what about you?"

Fred was going to draw there house, but since George said it first he frowned and tried to think what else to draw. Then he smiled as he thought about it.
"Uncle Erik." he nodded quickly, and started to draw. They went to Uncle Erik's a lot. Berial was Reiha's closet friend and Adain enjoyed being at the house. Besides Fred liked seeing Uncle Erik's 'twin' Scruffy.
The boys were too young to realize that Scruffy wasn't his real name.

George grinned broadly and nodded, setting to work at his less than extraordinary drawing. While he might of been a prodigy at speaking, he was worse than most kids at drawing (even though he though his renditions were gorgeous).
"Thas Korbin." He said, pointing to a black smudge he'd just made, perched near a green smudge.

Fred glanced at it and smiled, nodding at George encouragingly. He just bearly getting started. George wasn't good because he didn't have patientence. Fred though had lots of patience, and it showed. His drawings took time but showed the effort he put into it.
Fred wasn't slow, as some of the teachers thought he could be, he just didn't spend energy on unnessicary things. Right now, speaking was unnessicary. He'd learn too eventually, actually he pretty much had it figured it out, jsut chose not too.
"Pretty." he added.

George beamed at the praise and continued his work. He wasn't about patience, like Fred was. He was about energy and movement and he had a lot of trouble sitting still. Grabbing a blue crayon, he began to scribble in the sky, oblivious to a boy that was starting over towards them.

Fred noticed but decided that the kid just wanted to use the crayons too. Wasn't an uncommon thing. He did notice that it wasn't a member of George's group though and went silent again.
"Hey Booger Brain." the boy spoke up suddenly, throwing the paper he had been wadding at Fred. "Are you and your 'brother' playing dollies together?"

George bristled at the voice turning to face the boy with a frown. "Buzz off. We're just drawin'" He said, annoyed, before turning at Fred and giving him a short nod. They wouldn't rise up to this idiots taunts.

Fred nodded back at George and kept his head down. "Oh yeah, the two 'brothers' that can't be apart." he sneered and pushed George lightly. "What's the matter? Cry without your brother around to hold your hand?" he demanded.
Fred frowned and moved forward, grabing the boy's arm lightly, eyes going dark. "No." he said once. No one would bug George. He may be shy but he wasn't a coward.
And he had sparkles.

George felt the shove and glowered up at the older boy, scooping up his drawing protectively and looking at Fred. "Let's go, Fred. This jerk isn't worth our time." He said, trying to tug his twin away.
George might be able to talk the talk, but if he could avoid it, he'd much rather not fight and he knew they'd get in trouble if Fred sparked, after what had happened to Berial and Reiha at the other school."

Fred glanced at George and nodded, letting go. Just in time too, because a teacher just rushed over.
"Just what is going on here?" she demanded, placing her hands on her hips. Fred glanced up and then looked almost smug when he said.
"Bully" Fred glared at the boy as the teacher looked at them.
"I didn't do anything. I just came here to color, then the quiet baby grabed my wrist, look!" The kid showed his arm that had some light burns.
Fred didn't have real good control of his powers.
