Gracie was standing outside. She had her binoculars around her neck. She was feeling a little awkward being so new in the neighborhood. She really did want to make at least a few friends. She remembered doing odd jobs in her old town to make them. She wondered if that was how things worked here.

Though being alone did give her an opportunity to do what she was especially good at: being nosy. She had been lurking all over campus this morning. She had been watching various waywards come and go. She scoped them out. She knew for the time being. She needed to find someone who was super cool to hang around. She had noticed a few cutie patooties walking in and out of another long hall off to the east side of hte main hall. Was that another dorm?

She crept up to the side of the building and peered inside some windows. Hmm... She wondered if there was anything curious to look at inside. She was gonna have a look. The place seemed a little quiet and deserted. Maybe everyone was out for a while. That was her cue. She crawled up to a back window. She tried to open it discreetly.

George was fighting with his XBox controller and cursing into his headset. Why he bothered to play this goddamn game he had no idea. It seemed the only times he could get on, it was filled with idiots. He liked to have a good team, who co-operated and worked towards a common goal, not a bunch of 12 year olds who liked to blow crap up and shoot people for the hell of it. Muttering to himself, he pulled his headset off his head and tossed it onto the couch, flopping back onto it, arm dramatically across his face. "I need to get a life."

Gracie was definitely good at tip toeing. She was practically a ninja in her own right. She was fantastic at getting into other people's houses, rooms, and such areas of space that noone should enter without another's permission. She never really stole anything ever. She just liked going through their things and seeing what they had. It was better when she knew them. That way it made more sense about who having what. Still.. it was fun for her. It certainly gave her something to do as she was being left too idle to behave oneself.

As she slipped down a main hallway, she passed a room with a tv on. She leaned herself flat up against the wall, roping her tail in so as to not give herself away foolishly with just her tail. She then peered into the room all metal gear solid-like. Her eyes hadn't really drifted towards the couch yet to see who had been in there. Her eyes were on the tv. After looking at it for a moment, she realized it wasn't tv, but a video game. Shazzaam! She hit the motherlode this time.

Gracie tried to slip into the room looking both ways completely missing the person in there. Of course, it's always easiest to miss the most obvious thing in front of one's face at times. She ran down to the floor and was checking out the console. "an xbox... yeww... who would want an xbox piece of crap? No nintendo or playstations?"

At the voice, George's ear flicked. Moving his arm, he opened his eyes and was surprised to see the cat there. Not that it'd be odd for random chick to be in the room, it was common space, but this girl, she clearly wasn't one of Kait's Waywards. As much as he didn't want to sometimes, he had at least met everyone, and nope, this girl definitely was not someone he had seen before. Arching his brow, he sat up. "Sorry, doll, you'll want to go to the next room over if you want Nintendo or across the the hall for a Playstation. And good luck getting the Playstation from the Guitar Hero freaks." He tilted his head at her, resting his elbow on his knee and placing his chin in his palm as he studied her. "Are you new here?" he asked, brow furrowed. He supposed he could have just not met her yet. But he doubted it. "I haven't seen you before."

Wow. Gracie was totally had egg all over her face. Her eyes looked up at him wide eyed at first. However, she was quickly regrouping herself and decided to play it off. Maybe she could try like she did it on purpose? Wait.. maybe not use a deflect.. maybe just try head on.. head on was her favorite approach anyhow.

"I am new here. Thank you for noticing! I just got here the other day. Well, I mean.. at the Wayward Compound that is... This is my first time in this building though." She stopped and thought about the playstation comment. "They have Guitar Hero?!?!" She almost fell backwards. Her attempts at trying to play it cool were flushing away by the millisecond.

She then stood up quickly. "You know what's better than Guitar Hero though? Rockband! Cuz, then 3 people can play instead of just one!" She crossed her arms in front of her looking all proud of herself. She just knew she told him something... enlightening of course.

George grinned, amused, and sat back, crossing his ankle over his knee, looking up at her. "Yeah, I know. That's what I tell them, but hey," he shrugged, "they love their Guitar Hero." He crossed his arms behind his head, patting at his hair absently. "So Miss Kitty, where are you from then? And what're you doing wandering around my part of the pound?" He wasn't telling her off, no. He was just asking. Curious and all that.

Inwardly, she cringed. Totally busted for being in someone else's area... Nothing like answering straightforward his first comment to distract from the point! She giggled to herself about being called a 'miss' kitty.

"My name is Gracie. You can call me grace if you want; but you don't have to call me a 'Miss' if you don't want. That does seem awful formal. I really am not a formal type of girl. But.. I came from a little town called Canthry. There is a long story behind it, but I don't know if you wanna hear it or not."

She slowly all the while talking to him slowly scooted closer and closer to the couch. She was both getting a comfy feel about him, and also she was getting a better look at him. She liked his hair to be sure. "Is this whole building your part of the pound? If it were my pound, I'd make a rule that anyone who chooses Guitar Hero over Rockband has to eat a tablespoon of cinnamon."
PostPosted: Wed Mar 05, 2008 6:58 pm

That made him laugh. "I like cinnamon, actually. I don't think that'd be much of a punishment." He noticed her moving closer, but didn't say anything about it. "My area of the pound? Not quite. I just live here. Everyone over here is taken care of by Kait." His tail flicked and he yawned, eyeing his controller and rolling his eyes at the voices he heard over the headset. "Grace, eh?"

By then, she had scooted herself ever so daintly onto the couch. Encroaching little by little and getting closer still. "How old are you?" Yeah. It was pretty blunt, direct, and to the point.

Then, she thought about what he said. Yeah. That was all water under the bridge. "So, What are you playing anyways? You got a keyboard around? Maybe... you can just snipe people... and when you snipe them. I can type some s**t talkery into the chat screen. We could make them mad.. since none of them are seem too serious about the game anyways. You can tell they are all morons by the way they scream and cuss every word."

She was smirking. Her tail was then starting to move about with a will of its own again. A key sign she was feeling very comfortable with him. He seemed nice enough. Maybe being nosy and poking around could wait a while.

George rolled his eyes, wrinkling his nose at the game, his nose ring catching the light. "Halo 3. Don't know why I ever wasted the money on the damn thing." He laughed at her suggestion, gesturing vaguely at a cupboard. "Yeah there should be one there." He reached for the controller again. "Eh? My age? 35. Yeeeeah, I'm old." He gave her a grin then restarted the game, leaving the idiots he had been playing with behind. "Well~ Let's snipe some people, eh?"

She sat up bright and eager. "Yeah!" She scurried over to the cupboard. She was also having an opportunity to rummage through it and look around. She was even invited to do it. How convenient. She then found it.

She ran back to the system and plugged it in with lots of sprinklings of mischevious giggles. She heard his age, but she didn't pay a lot of attention. In that way that some teenagers feel unbound by restraints like age. She just saw a nice young man. He was being nice and letting her hang around. Even after he busted her for being in there, doing nothing.

"yeah... Sniping is the best." She started to sing a variation of a weird al song she heard. "hunting in a sniper's paradise..." That was followed by a few quiet giggles.

His grin widened. "Weird Al, eh? Classic." Nodding to her to signal he was about to start the game, he wriggled around a bit to get comfortable and plunged into the game, sticking to the shadows and high ground, aiming for anyone and everyone, sniping them as they had said. It was quite amusing and he was enjoying it, even if it hadn't been the type of game he had been looking for earlier. It was still damn fun to shoot people unawares.

Gracie was having fun too. She was busy typing away on the keyboard. Every time they killed someone, she'd type a snide comment in there. She wrote some people things like, "I'd like to leave you with one thought...but I'm not sure you have anywhere to put it!"

She would laugh and then write something else. "Don't you have a terribly empty feeling - in your skull?" or "Don't you need a license to be that ugly? HAHAAHAHA!!! IN YOUR FACE, b***h!" and lastly "I've seen chimps who can play better than you, n00blets!"

Oh, together, they pissed of mannny. And George was loving it. Foot tapping, he made sure to pick off the kids who had been pissing him off earlier, sniping them, and when they reappeared, shooting them again. Laughing and grinning wide, he was much like a teenager himself.
When the session finally ended, he turned to Gracie, still grinning. "Wanna play Guitar Hero? I could wrestle it away from Casey, Nicole and Mel. Those three are always playing it."

Gracie laid herself backwards on the floor. She was laughing and giggling from all that mischief. Nothing like pissing off rude and abrasive twelve year olds she thought. Not that she had much room to talk being only sixteen and all, but she always considered herself to be much more mature and older than her own age.

She pushed herself up and wiped the wetness from her eyes that came from the laughter. "Um... Do you have two guitars? Not to be rude, but I'm really not the kind of person who just wants to sit around watching someone else play. Or.. do you have a ddr game? I like that... Oh.. hey.. do you like swing music?"
