HBP Chapter 9 [Amortentia is] recognizable by its distinctive mother-of-pearl sheen and by the fact that its steam rises in characteristic spirals. The potion smells differently to different people according to what attracts them. Well, it's pretty simple. You play the game by saying what you think the person above you smells when they scent Amortentia. Use their avatar, House stereotypes, what you actually know about them, or whatever - be creative. Aaaand...begin!

The sickeningly sweet smell of grapes at the end of the summer, the smell of your computer when it has been running too long and the smell of potatoe chips that have been sitting next to you for the past half hour. biggrin

The sweet and strong smell of roses...elegant and deadly, the smell of a cold winter morning, and the smell of hot chocolate, sweet and delicious!

HP Lexicon says Amortentia. *shrug* I don't have the book on hand but I'll check later.
Yours is hot sun, wheat and horses. Do you like horses?

You stare dubiously at the cauldron of pearly white liquid. Tentatively, you stick your head over it and sniff. You smell the fresh, blank smell of the outdoors during the night. There is an undertone of the musty, old-ish smell that most jewelry stores contain...

You smell the distinct scent of old leather bound books, Fireworks at midnight and the slight smell of an ocean that is just out of eyesight.
