PREVIOUSLY: ))
Lolita: -She blinks and stares at Azrael, clearly frozen, whether it was fear or fangirling shock, it wasn't clear yet- Azrael: -stares back at her, freezes nervously- -quietly- Good evening...
Loli: -She's silent for another long moment, then squees softly- OH MY GOD. You are the AWESOMEST Winiko EVER. I'm Lolita! Hiiii! Oh my god!
Azrael: -startles a bit- Oh? T-thank you... -trails off, flicks tail slowly- And you are...?
Lolita: Oh yes! Utterly awesome! Oh my god! I'm Lolita, what IS your name? -She circles him a little, getting a look at all the details-
Azrael: -folds his wings to his sides- I am... Azrael. Some call me the Reaper, others have given me the name Death. Though... -he pauses, eyes glancing at her to finally get a good look- It has been many a day since I have been called those. -tips his his head to her- It is a... pleasure, Lolita.
Lolita: -Her eyes widen and she oooooooooooo's like mad- Azrael! Death! SO cool! I love it! I'm so glad to meet you, I mean wow! -She looks ready to glomp him, almost-
Azrael: -eyes her almost warily, still slightly nervous- I do not... kill for the sake of it, though... There was a time when I gathered the souls of the dead, but... no longer. -he pauses, contemplating quietly to himself for a moment-
Loli: -She smiles a little- Oh that's fine! You're just... wow... -She pauses, then suddenly nuzzles his cheek, trying to control the urge to glomp-
Azrael: -freezes at her touch, not sure of what to do- Ahh... -pauses- It is not often that others express their... admiration for me. Most cower in fear as I approach. -blushes profusely-
Lolita: -She hmmph's a little at his statement- Well they're just fools then! I mean... LOOK at you... -She's practically purring as she leans against him a little-
Azrael: -still stiff, but manages to let out a weak crooning noise- Why, thank you... it's nice to know that I am not a total outcast in this world... -smiles nervously-
Loli: -She snuggles against him- We're all demons here, Azrael, we'd be silly to make you an outcast, ESPECIALLY since you're as awesome as you are!
Azrael: Well, that's... that's good, then. -begins to slowly relax and curls his tail about her side- Well... how long have you been around here, then...?
Lolita: -She beams at him- Oh, not that long, but I've met an Wini or two, the ones I share my home with. I swear, the kid is... I've never seen him awake... The other's nice looking but a grump.
Azrael: I see... -nods slowly- At the house we have... two young ones. -he cracks a soft smile- They're filled with energy every hour of their waking. Then there's their two parents, and one other male that's quite friendly... it's quite a nice household, for the most part. -laughs softly-
Loli: Maybe your two young'ns should come meet Belarion... he might perhaps pick up some energy and BE awake.... -She flickers her tail- My home's decent, I'll see on the other two Wini.
Azrael: Perhaps, perhaps. -his eyes flicker a bit, wings folding to his back- Though I'm sure that these two will terrorize him out of his mind. -chuckles- One's overly-friendly, and the other is awfully stand-offish...
Loli: Well that assumes they can wake him... -She gives him another nuzzle- It's hard to terrorize some one who WONT get up. Azrael: -he laughs softly, then carefully steps towards the nearest piece of furniture and jumps up onto it, motioning for her to join him- Indeed, yes; Although I'm sure that they would play some sort of silly prank on him, at the very least. He has to wake up sometime, after all, am I correct?

Loli: -She ponders his words as she moves up to join him, curling up besides him- I... really don't know. In my time here, I haven't seen him do more then look up and YAWN. I mean... He lifted his head and yawned at me. And then turned over and went back to sleep.

Azrael's wing loosened as he began to relax, the bony thing tentatively draping itself against Lolita's shoulders. "Then, perhaps he's just... dissatisfied?" he replied, head tilting to the side. His horns gently clacked against her for a moment as he did so. "When I say that I mean... he doesn't have anything worth being awake for, I would... assume."

Lolita smiles as his wing rests around her. She snuggles against him, listening, and thinking. "I don't know... He's still young, and all... I DID ask the... human... about him, she said he's been like that since he arrived. She shrugged too. Meh. I'm sure he'll eventually wake up."

Azrael smiled lightly, slightly amused at the description of this young one. "I am sure that once he realizes what's in store for him, that he'll be much more lively." He paused for a moment, thinking on his words. "As in... his life, I would say." He furrowed his brow for a moment before his eyes gazed down to Lolita for a moment. "You must forgive me, I often find it hard to... express myself correctly."

Lolita beams up at him. "No worries! I'm not having trouble at all, understanding you. You're not as unclear as you might think." She gives him a nuzzle. "You need to relax, that's all. You're too worried, I think, that people will be bothered by you."

Azrael gave her a weak smile, a slight look of relief on his face. "It is not an empty fear, however- in the past others often have feared me. Thus, I am not as... socially inclined as others may be." He gently stuck his nose down to nuzzle the spot in between her horns for a moment. "But I am glad, at least, that at least someone does not run when they see my approach."

Lolita gently caught her crown as it slipped a little, and smiles. "Those who run are silly. I mean... You may look different, but in such an amazing way... but you're nice. A gentleman. So bah. If they run or are afraid... It's their loss, they miss out on getting to know a sweet, nice winiko like yourself."

Azrael's head bobbed lightly at her words, his muscles nearly melting away as he relaxed. "You... speak words that are filled with much wisdom." he replied, "It is those like yourself that keep me from... giving up? After much strife, I had honestly lost most of my faith in this and all other races." His eyes closed for a moment, seemingly lost in thought. A few seconds later, however, he started to hum softly, more to himself than anything else.

Lolita ponders this and beams some at his comment about wisdom, and also that she was helping in some small way. She gently places her crown on his head for a moment, with a soft giggle, as she replies "Well... Here you need not worry about that. Here, ignore those who treat you with fear, and remember that those who matter wont. You're a wonderful winiko."

Azrael laughed softly as the small crown was placed on his head, being careful not to let it fall. "I believe that I am... slowly beginning to see that now," he said, eyes flickering from the attempt to look at the top of his head down to the other, "For things may not always be as they appear in this mortal world." Lowering his cranium, he tilted it to the side enough to allow the crown to slide back onto Lolita's head. "When time stands still for eons and eons, one tends not to notice such things."

Lolita laughs as well, and adjusts her crown when it slides onto her head into the right position. "Mmmm well it's time to start! There's a whole world of things for you to notice, all of them interesting! Some might be annoying or mean, or rude, but interesting nonetheless!" She waves a paw a little, as if to somehow emphasize this with her paw wave.

As if on cue, a book slid from its place from the shelf, opening itself someplace in the middle. Quirking an eyebrow, Azrael's tail curled about Lolita's side before he stood, hopping down from the chair and padding inquisitively over to it. "It's a... storybook." he mused quietly, looking up to where she was and making a slight motion with his head for her to join him.

Lolita blinks at the book, but smiles at his tail. She watches him go over, and then gently, gracefully, hops down and slides next to him, peering over his shoulder at the pages of the book. "Wonder why it slid out just then..." She murmurs softly, her eyes alert and very interested.

"Seems awfully... cliched to me." Azrael replied, a soft laugh coming from someplace deep in his throat. His eyes wandered over the page, before pausing on the title. Clearing his throat, he began to read.
"The Prince and the Pendulum." he paused, pondering the title, but continued on anyways. "Once, in a castle high upon a hill, lived but one Prince, completely alone. Day after day, he watched the pendulum of his clock swing back and forth, listening to the incessant ticking of the machine. He could hear others outside his keep, but never once did he venture out to greet them. For you see, the Prince was afraid; afraid of what would happen if he were to leave the place. So he sat, day after day, and watched the clock's pendulum without company from another. But yet, while he sat alone, he was not happy- he longed to be amongst others, but lacked the courage to say even a single word to them.
"One day, a knocking came from the gates. Into the Prince's castle burst a young, beautiful woman. Pushing past him, she knocked the clock from its mounting place, smashing it upon the floor. The Prince cried out in horror, appalled at her actions. He hadn't even met her before, yet she had the nerve to do such a thing! He questioned her as to why she would break his most prized possession, the only thing that he had that he could cling to. 'Because,' she replied, 'You are gentle and kind, fiercely loyal and stunning in every way. You are everything, but while you waste away in this keep, you are nothing.'
"Looking at her for a moment, the Prince thought carefully about her words. He nodded at her and took hold of her hand, leaving the shattered remains of his pendulum on the floor. He left the castle, his stronghold, and traveled the lands alongside the young maiden until the end of his days."
