Jumping onto a log, the green hair watched her travel companion. Kohpi had been looking more lonely lately, and she could feel it, read it. And she knew why. "Kohpi... It's time..." It was simple, a short thing to say. They'd discussed it when they'd had to leave behind Kohpi's offspring with the grouchy and disfunctional-minded leopard. She knew the lioness would understand, even in her childish mind that never seemed to grow up.

Kohpi stopped her stalking of the little butterfly, looking to the hare. "It's time...?" She blinked, sitting to process the words. What did she mean, it's time...? After a moment, her face seemed to sadden. "Oh..." She nodded, looking again at Darshana. "Okay." She stood up, smiling at the hare. "It's time!"

Darshana chuckled a bit, jumping off the log. As usual, it had taken Kohpi a bit to catch on. As she moved through the grass, she gave pause. "First, we must meet a friend of mine. You don't mind, do you?" She looked up at the lioness, tail twitching just a bit.

"Of course not!" The lioness leaned down, licking the hare between the ears. She looked up again, wondering who Darshana's friend was. Maybe it was another hare! It had to be, what else would the little green hare befriend? Unless it was... "What IS your friend? Is it a hare, or a gobbledegook?" The bad part was probably, she was SERIOUS about the gobbledegook part.

The hare gave her charge a shocked and baffled look. "A gobbledegook?! KOHPI! What kind of a hare do you TAKE me for?!" Clearly, they had some meaning for the word, both of them. "No, he's another hare. Hey, don't you giggle like that, it's not like THAT!" She puffed before moving on through the grass. "Jareth's just an old friend." Old could be a literal term of both how long they'd been friends... And how old they both really were.

Another hare... A BOY hare! Kohpi's giggles were subdued before they had much chance to really surface, and she followed her companion. A whistling soon reached her ears, making her confused as to what it was. Looking about, she ignored the wind gently tugging her fur. Where was that sound coming from? Red eyes soon fell upon a hare, as white as her own coat, yet tinged with pink. It didn't occure to her, quite fully, that he was albino.

He paused in his meticulous grooming, looking up. Smiling, the albino hare instantly knew who it was. "Ah, Kohpi... So we meet at last..." He moved forward, red eyes shining up at the lioness. "Kohpi, sister of Riku, Kabichi, and Fuego... Duaghter of Mioyo and Kohrisu... Adopted by the Firekin Bodaway..." His eyes shone with knowledge, of knowing.

She was surprised, to say the least, that he even knew who she was, let alone who she was related to. "How did you know all that...?" She leaned forward, nosing him as she sniffed. Hares just confused her to no end sometimes! After a moment, she sat down, head tilted. "And... Why's your fur all white and your eyes red like that?"

The hare let out a laugh, ears lifting up. "I just know, dear. Most animals don't pay attention to the world around them, but we do. We pay accute attention." His ears flicked back again, observing the sounds of the land. He then smiled at the lioness. "I am albino. That is why my eyes shine red and my coat gleams white." He was like a tiny ghost in the lands...

Leaning back, Darshana allowed a smile to grace her face. After a moment of the banternig, she gave Jareth's shoulder a touch. "Jareth, it is time." Two pairs of red eyes met as they shared some silent secret, before both hares nodded. The green hare smiled at her cubbish charge, patting her paw. "You be a good girl, Kohpi. I need to go do something, so Jareth will be with you for a while." With a flick of her ears and cottony white tail, she turned and vanished into the night.

She could only watch as Darshana left, then turned her gaze back to the albino male. "What did she mean by... It is time?" She wasn't quite sure herself, really. It left her puzzled and wondering, mind turning over itself. What DID it mean? Really, what COULD it mean? All she could come up with was that it was different than when Darshana told HER it was time. She nudged the hare with a paw, still wondering.

"It is time to move on, Kohpi. There is a void in your life, is there not? You should fill it, reaquaint with a part of you." He tilted his head, then turned and headed into the grass. "Come on, now. You must figure this out on your own as to what you need to move on from." He looked back, offering a helping smile, then vanished into the grass. The only indication of where he was was the calls of "This way!" while he moved.

Only more confused, Kohpi followed as best she could. She stopped after a moment to realise that he meant exactly what Darshana did. Ears falling back, she took on a sad look once more before she nodded. Yes, she needed to move on... If they still lived, they were old enough to fight for themselves, if they had to. A sigh, and she hurried after the hare. "Hey, wait up!"

From a rock, a shadow against the moon, the green hare watched the albino and the lioness go. She let out a small chuckle, recognising the moment Kohpi understood. Such a good lioness... Turning, she leapt from the rock and fully vanished into the night. There were things to do and lions to talk to.
