Appearance: Ryu has deep azure eyes, and spiked brown hair, which comes less from worrying about his appearance and more from lack of. His skin is extremely pale and he has a lanky, frail build. Despite all that, he has no facial hair (The one thing he worries about appearance wise: shaving) and has a small aura of kindness. He is usually found wearing white robes while studying and during the school day, but casually, he merely wears a tight, red, sleeveless shirt and baggy blue pants.

Element: Air. Ryu holds his element as a very dear part of him, and passionately trains with it.

Weapon: Ryu favors a long, wooden curved blade ((It’s that Japanese weapon. I can't spell its name, sorry)), which he was given by his parents at ten years of age, since then he has taken it to the weapon masters to reinforce and sharpen it. He re-obtained it with a metal webbing of reinforcement (thankfully, the wood is still the prominent feature), as well as an embedded metal edge. This is by far his weapon of choice. However, if pressed, he always keeps a few steel throwing daggers handy.

Personality: As a friend, Ryu is kind and loyal. But, unfortunately, Ryu is incredibly anti-social. Due to losses in his past, he is incredibly afraid of getting close to people, and is very quiet. Sometimes he will stop talking to a person because he thinks they have 'gotten to close'. However, there are a handful of people he trusts, due to their kindness towards others, or that they outgoing. Despite all this, He tries his best to be kind to others, and to not let them down. He is also a hard worker, though he some times gets to much into his work, wither it be studying or practicing his fighting style (something he is very reclusive about). Because of this, he, again, is very anti-social. Also, he holds a strong sense of ideals, and, despite his efforts at self-control, he can sometimes over-react to things, wither they be actions or ideas. Sometimes he will even beat himself up over the smallest of things.

Strengths: Ryu is highly skilled, in battle as well as in the classroom. He is a hard worker and is kind.

Weaknesses: Ryu is very reclusive, and tries to block out society. Having very few friends, he knows little of how to even deal with people. Also, Ryu is extremely over-possessive of his sword. Also, due to his past, he is afraid of fire.

History: Ryu has lived a blessed, yet also cursed, life. Haunted by mysterious powers, his parents, the clan leaders, thought, in their ignorance of the elements, them to be blessings of the heavens, and decided to train him extensively, to teach him rigorously. By three he had been forced to take up his clan's school of swordsmanship, which he practices to this date. Despite the rigorous lifestyle that he had, he enjoyed every bit of it, and as such focused all his effort into pleasing his parents. By ten he was so advanced in his sword school, and his studies in the uses of his powers, that he received his first sword, an honor usually only granted to those of fifteen years of age. But, upon the same night that he received his sword, a mysterious stranger came and wiped out his entire clan village, all except for Ryu. The memory of standing in the forest he was told to run to, and watching his village burn to the ground is to this date clear as day in his mind.
