So yeah, I meant to make a post about this yesterday, but Lost Odyssey pulled me in, and I never got around to it. Anyway, after a thoroughly mediocre day at school and work, I got home, and my dad was all like, "Hey, did you see you got this in the mail?"
Of course, I assumed it was more pony express spam from colleges, but to my surprise, it was a thing from this conference that I went to a year and a half ago. They said that because of my involvement with their program, and my continued academic excellence, god knows what they're talking about, that I was invited to go to their next little conference deal.
I flipped out, like seriously.
Why? You might ask, well, it's all because their next conference isn't on medicine like the last one that I went to, but instead this one was one to go and see the President and Vice President of the United States be sworn into office. I don't know why I flipped out as much as I did, I'm not all that interested in politics, but I ended up trying to figure out a way to pay for the stuff for it as soon as I found out. I apparently get to go to a Black Tie gala after the inauguration too, so I may get to bump into some politicians, or even better, the new president. Of course, I'm not holding my breath for either of those, but still. xd
Discuss: Awesome things you've gotten in the mail Politics Me rocking a tux for the Black Tie gala The fact that my dad said I had to learn to fire a high powered, collapsible rifle if Obama wins. gonk

Yeah, I think there was a misunderstanding about your mom and him, TSN. O_o Not right, not right.
Anyway, I am definitely voting for Obama...and if he doesn't win primaries, than I suppose I'll vote for Clinton. McCain is just...blah. I'd rather not have another nasty old man talking to me next to his trophy wife. stare
Though I don't really want another Clinton in office, either...oh well.
And hey, bickering is a big part of politics. If everyone agreed, then what would be the point of different candidates and voting?
And I'm hoping your dad wants you to learn to use a rifle if Obama wins because dad is Republican, like angel said...and not just very racist. eek

Congrats, Kasa-sama!
Lyss could take on that job your dad was talking about.... ninja
Hilary's not gonna win, imo. Too far behind in delegates. Unless she magically pulls a lot of delegates out of nowhere... Either McCain or Obama.
