Bo!nk was hacked between 5:00pm and 8:00pm today and the person changed my username (to King Nekad), password, and e-mail.
He deleted all my friends but I went to a mule of mine and found the profile. He hasn't posted anything anywhere yet but I'm sure he has sold some of my stuff.
I filled out a report but I have heard from many that people almost never get helped, or it takes forever to get back to you.
The only thing I can say good about this is I bought another one of each evolving item (excluding the rose) and gave them to Jake before I was hacked. I can at least still follow that until, if ever, I get my old account back.
Why would they do that? I am mainly a lurker...I don't piss anyone off. Strange enough I get hacked right after I post in a public thread, like the weekly poll thread. I'm staying out of anywhere but GCD and Guilds from now on...

And it sounds like a REAL hacker, not "I clicked on a ww.gaia1onlien.con/IMMAGONNAHAXJ00 and got hacked when I got keylogged instead".
And what was on that account?

It happened to me almost a year ago and I just got this account back. Fill out the report and move on. It's best to expect that you're not going to get it back, so that if you don't it's not too bad, but when you do (which may take quite awhile) then it's a pleasant surprise. Also, by then, any items you had in your inventory will have been returned to you and most likely inflated in price. It's a good way of saving up, but not a way i'd reccomend... XP
and yeah, i noticed the change in username... o__O
I feel sorry for you, I know how it feels... good thing you kept some things on a mule. all of my stuff was on this account before..

I just wanted him to have his own for the rp because I was too lazy to switch them back and forth each time I wanted to use it.
Thanks for the advice though. It doesn't seem like a bad person kinda because he didn't give all my items to another account, he is just actually using mine. He didn't post yet but it isn't like a blank slate on my profile. It's strange to me. He also isn't a crazy *I forgot what its called* but the people who go around and attack/flame other people and post pr0n and do all sorts of horrible things against the ToS.

My hacker was not one of the nice ones.. they changed my signature to an animation of somebody getting their brains blown out and posted some really disturbing things... not to mention stealing all of my stuff. I don't understand people. gonk

Yeah, some people are confusing to me too Kotura.
I spent two years getting all that stuff and then they can just have it all because they stole it from me. It's still kind of not sunk in yet. I am gonna want to go to my other account later to mix and match all sorts of commons I have and it won't be there. I'll be stuck in this account, not that it's all bad. I'm lucky enough to have some items and a generous donation from Tidus but nothing is the same as Bo!nk
