In a land that is ours, but at the same time not ours, an everlasting feud flourishes between two equal and separate parties. On this earth; in America, Europe, Asia, and the remainder; we are all part of the same dilemma and must stand together. This is not a fight strictly for life, but for freedom. When we stand apart, we fall; but, would it be wiser to be above the dilemma? One alliance is simply known as The Coalition; who, have nothing specifically evil about them, other than being an overbearing company that has more presence than the established government. Their influence spans the length of the world, an influence that covers the world in gray. They command and steer all monetary transactions, as they have come to control all wealth. The Coalition eliminates free market and makes its own laws: laws above the canon, as they themselves are above the law. They employ only those who trust the organization for power, or fear the organization for freedom.
Almost no one stands up to the Coalition. Being the dictatorial guild that they are, most souls prefer to join them or hide from them. But, for those with stronger spirits, a new order was formed in attempt to counteract them. Still operating in secret and often concealing their position, the only difference was that they were willing to risk their lives to fight. Enim Libertas is their name, and all they try to do is give their all for the cause. Would their all be enough?
It is a time for choice. If you are in this alternate world, where do you go? It is your choice. How much part of the action will one play? Will one do little, or affect the whole outcome of events? Be a presence if you join, not random words. Once again, it is your choice. Will you be part of The Coalition, part of Enim Libertas, or will you be a wayward soul? Why do you choose to join the alliance you join? Are you afraid, or are you the reason for its existence? It is a time for choice.

"Why has the world changed so?" *I roll out of my hard, uncomfortable bed.* "Will Enim Libertas actually help?" No it won't. *I begin to prepare for the day ahead; I take a shower and put on my clothes. I walk down to breakfast in this hideaway, where a member is preparing food.* "I was one of the few to join in the first year of Enim Libertas, but we now have secret locations across the USA and Canada." Please let all go well today.

Turen sits up with a start, realizing it was just a dream, he puts the knife he drew back in its place under his pillow. He looks at the clock, still barely able to think from the lack of rest his sleep had been. "Damn its only 6 am?"
He contemplates going back to sleep, but knows he'll overdo it and stands. Brushing his long black hair he remembers how forcefully his family was forced out of its home due to lack of funds. With a big sigh he readjusts his thoughts to something less painful.
"We will take the world back, wont we Rei?" He looks down to his normally hyper dog, who wags its tail lazily in recognition. An almost spoken, "Of course, I mean we have to right?" emanates from the k9. "Yeah thats right, pup..."
Turen kind of trails off, he then continues getting ready for the day. After dressing he walks over to the refrigerator and opens it, knowing as he does this there is almost nothing on the shelves. "I do that every morning, as if it might just magically produce me a breakfast."
He walks outside, to the world he hates and loves. Around him are broken down houses, and his isn't much better. A half standing fence lines his yard. Rei follows him out of the house, he doesn't even bother locking the door, what would they steal?
He then procedes to walk down the street......
(OOC: Figured as a first post I'd make it more of a Bio.... still thinking of the type of dog it should be. I hope I can get this thread moving! biggrin )

Almost a month later, practically nothing in my situation has changed. We still eat the same disgustingly horrible food, and we only host small operations from within the hideout. Possibly, the only thing that has changed was the arrival of a brother and sister, who had decided to join Enim Libertas when their parents were murdered by The Coalition. Their parents had directly insulted those in The Coalition, so the whole family was in jeopardy. Even now, the young children were being targeted. "God help us all."
As I stepped outside for fresh air, i couldn't help noticing the quitness; the stillness that enveloped the village. The large city had become a ghost town, all but for a few cottages. Then, I heard the humming of an engine, and I saw a small black spot driving up the road. A Coaliton scout was gaining ground and coming closer. "Were they simply patrolling, or did they know some information? Did they receive a hint that the children were here, or did they possibly even know this was an Enim Libertas location?"
I ducked behind some hedges as the vehicle passed. "Don't see me. Don't see me."
(Wow. I started this a month ago and no one responded until today. I hope more people catch on.)

A simple trip to the grocery store, thats all it was supposed to be....
Turen walks the lonesome street, there are few people about. When he gets well within site of the ratty old structure labeled a store, he sees a Coalition grunt harassing a woman, by looks one would guess she was 40 or so, but in these days it is truely just a guess.
Taking a deep sigh he assesses the situation, and knows deep down that he couldn't ignore it. As much as he wanted to just brush past, he had a good idea what the grunt wanted from her. Closing in he realized that the woman was clearly no older than 30.
He tries to approach the situation diplomatically. "Excuse me sir, what seems to be the problem?"
"Mind your own s#*t!" Was the gruff reply from the grunt, and the pistol was then pointed toward Turen. "Or do you want a bullet for lunch?" Turen looks down at his bare wrist as if there was a watch. "But its still morning, I'd rather breakfast." The grunt tosses aside the young woman, and fixes his pistol more accurately on Turen. "Either way the meal is on the house." states the grunt with a smile. Turen reacts with an uncaring sigh. Then suddenly Rei tackles the grunt, sending the gun flying and the grunt to the ground. Rei stood over the grunt growling.
Turen kneels down to the grunt. "She gets offended when my life is threatened." He then turns to the young lady, who stammers out "Th-thank you." He smiles and asks simply, "You know what he wanted.... what do you want done to him?" She looks shocked. "I-I.... uhh...."
Turen simply nods and swiftly knocks out the grunt. He then proceeds to drag the grunt to a street dumpster, and throws him in.
"C'mon pup..." He says as he starts walking for the grocery store once more. The young lady recovers from her shock and walks up to him. "I'm sorry to have-" Before she finishes her sentence he shakes his head. "Well then let me offer you this," She says almost awkwardly and kisses him lightly on the cheek, and walks off.
A slight blush fades from Turen's face and he walks into the grocery store....
(I would like to note that I am not part of Enim Libertas, nor do I really know anything about it. also I'm using this little ooc to do a time lapse, lol)
... Later Turen arrives home with a few sodas, some instant-style food, and dog food. Walking over to the cabinet he grabs a bowl and poors Rei a meal. He hides the gun, which he had picked up, in his couch right next to where he sits. While emptying his pockets he finds a card and on it is written a little message. More help will arrive....
"More help?..." He stares at the card in confusion and realizes it must have come from the young woman. "Heh, distract me with a kiss... smart" He smirk slowly creeps to his face. He then takes a seat on his ratty couch and opens a newspaper. Rei climbs onto the couch next to him and curls up, looking rather
(The more help relates to EL. And to think I've never written a whole story....)

The dark vehicle stops. "Damn it!" It is here with intent, with a motive. I scurry across the ground hoping the soldier inside the car won't see me. Trying to be as quiet as possible, I make my way to the side of the E.L. residence. "There's a door in the back. All I have to do is get inside and warn the others."
The soldier steps out of the car and walks toward the front door. My people inside should know to keep the door secure. "Crap! Did I forget to tell the others I was going outside. Well, it is only one soldier; though, The Coalition soldiers are ruthless." He looks around, knowing this was only one of the few occupied buildings in town. "I need to get inside."
Who's there? "Sh%t! Did he see me?" I turn over and hide behind the corner of the house. He knocks on the door. Open up! A minute later, I look back around the corner to see the man is no longer there, and the front door is not quite closed.
(Turen121, you write alot more stuff than I do. But really, you've never finished writing any stories?)

Turen awakens on the couch from a loud knock on his door. He stands and checks his pocket for his knife as he walks toward the door. The knife's presence makes him feel secure although he knows its almost pointless if its Coalition knocking. The whole fact that there was a knock states that its not Coalition, a fact that is well known to Turen. He opens the door and it is a man in the normal clothing for the area, ratty, yet not full of holes or anything. Turen is inwardly a bit shocked, he expected to see the young woman he helped.... earlier? yesterday? Damn it! What time is it? his thoughts wander for a second, he even forgets to greet the man.
"Uh, Hello I'm Chase." The man awkwardly offers his hand. Ignoring the gesture Turen says in an obviously annoyed tone, "Yes?" Chase was taken back a bit, this did not seem to be the kind man he heard of. "Well.... may I come inside?" The question was actually a bit two-faced, he wanted more privacy to talk, sure, but he also needed to scope it out to make sure this man isn't a spy. "I suppose," The tone is no more inviting than it had been.
The two walk into the living room, where there is a couch, a chair, and a fireplace. Rei walks into the room from the kitchen and climbs onto the couch right next to where Turen seats himself, all the while keeping an eye on the new person. Chase stands uncomfortably in the middle of the room, until he realizes that he is not going to be offered a seat. So, he takes it upon himself to sit in the chair, all the while feeling the dogs eyes on him.
"So, what is it that you want from me?" Turen looks at the uneasy man without an outward show of his emotions. Is this the 'more help'?
"I, well, would like to extend to you an invitation." Chase is obviously intimidated by Turen, and can't even place why. He can also tell that this is no spy, his house is even more empty than most of the neighborhood's.
"Invitation to what?" Now positive that this is the indeed sent 'more help', but to what could he be invited?
"Well I really can't say, its just better if you come to this address tomorrow, any time will be fine, I, or another, will try to explain then." Chase hands Turen another small card with an address, and some directions from it to something.
With that said and done Chase, politely stood and left. Turen heaved a big sigh, knowing that somehow he had gotten himself into something big.
Looking at Rei he says, "What do you think girl?" She looks back and makes a whimperish growl sound and wags her tail. Turen smirks and mutters, "Yeah I'm sure it will be worth it, in the long run."
... The next morning Rei entered Turen's room at about 7 am and proceeded to lick his face.
"Wuh, huh? pfft," and with this she wandered out of the room. My own living alarm clock....
After showering and dressing he looks at the card again, the address was just down the street, but the directions took him off aways. He also makes sure to bring the other card, his knife, and the gun. Walking outside he takes a good look around, as if trying to figure out where he should go today. The surrounding area is residential area that some might see in a city, small yards, with 1 story, maybe even 2 story houses, but this was obviously a slum version. Not too far off was the slum side of the city as well, with broken down apartment buildings and mostly unused and unusable buildings. It is just inside that area that the grocery store is.
Turen walks down the road towards the city slums, and takes a small road to the left about 4 houses away from them. He looks to the card once more, already having arrived at the address. Enter the small walkway behind the house and follow it to the city. Go up the fire escape to the third floor and enter the building. Once into the hallway go to the last apartment on the right, and back out to the fire escape and climb down. After following these instructions he realizes why he had to go up into the building. There is a 12ft-high wood fence blocking the way. Hmm, complex... Go down 3 buildings and there will be a basement entrance. Knock twice. Turen continues down to the door, and by the way its boarded up, it hardly looks openable. This is the right door....
He knocks twice.....
(well honestly I'm making this up as I go, heh. But I just seem to write more because I have worked on my writing since middle school, I've always had a hard time with descriptions and story elements. The little bit of college I had really brought out my writing ability biggrin Also so there is no/less confusion I write like this: Italics = thoughts of character, generally the main char Bold = Various, generally written things Quotes = Spoken words, also the seemingly spoken words of Rei Parenthesis = OOC, obviously I find this a good way to rp, as it gives a good story sensation there may be other things I use later, will explain them then )

Sh%T! Sh%t! I've gotta get in the house. Since the Coalition soldier has already entered the house, it was no use trying to hide on the ground anymore. I run to the front door with no weapon and no plan. What was that? I hear the laughter of a small child from upstairs. It sounds as though the man has not yet reached them, but if he also hears the child, it won't be too long from now that he does get to them.
I can't believe my one stupid move in not telling anyone I went outside could lead to the downfall of our safety. Currently, there's six people living in the house: the lady cook, her wheelchaired husband, a highschool football player, the young brother and sister, and me. Likely, the woman is cooking and paying attention to nothing else, and I'm sure her husband and is sleeping; he does that alot. Also, it's very early in the day, so I'm not expecting many to be very active. The house is not a mansion, but it is not on the small side either. It could take the Coalition soldier 10 minutes to find someone, but those are minutes I must take advantage of.
I open the front door ever so slightly, but I can see no one. Silently, I move further into the hallway. Where has he gone? I make my way to the end, and hear nothing from the kitchen. I look in to see uncooked eggs sitting in a frying pan. "Marlene?" I whisper. Her apron lays in a mess on the floor. He's already been here.
"Doucthec?" the little girl calls from the second floor. "Doucthec, come here." No! Stop making noise. I run to the base of the stairs. Looking up, I see a figure in dark garments entering the child's bedroom. "Doucthec?" she calls again, starting to whimper. I speed up the stairs, across the hall, and into the room the soldier just entered. "Back off!" I yell.
The man, looking like a shadow, turns back to face me. In his right hand, he holds an electric stunner on a long rod. With cold sounds, he voices, "Leave here now. My business is not with you." Thank God he is not here to bust the E.L. location, but that means his job is to take the children. "I won't let you do anything to them," I say. "They're both here?" Crap! He didn't know they were still together. I quickly look around the room for any weapon, but all I see is a baseball bat across the room; far out of my reach. "Leave now," the sinister soldier says. "I don't think so."
(So far I have not been writing like that, but so it is less confusing to all, I will do it the same as you)

Happy Easter!!! Ok... maybe it isn't the right door It has been almost a full five minutes since Turen knocked. As he is turning to walk back up and check to see if it was the right entrance, a slot on the door opens quickly and shuts again.
The door creeps open after a series of clicks and shlinks. An older man steps out and states with a smile, "Didn't expect you so early, come in, come in!" With a generous sweep of his hand he motions for Turen to enter.
Turen steps into the dark building cautiously, although he guessed that there was no need for the concern. It was a hallway, the older man led him to a room off to the right, a large room, obviously used for meetings of some sort. Several chairs were scattered about the room a large round table stood at one side with paperwork scattered over it. Someone was leaning over the table, clearly studying some papers.
The older man remarked as he entered, "You were right it was him." "I told you, he's not a slacker, appearance aside." replied the studying man in a familiar voice. "Excuse me?" Turen interrupted. Turning away from the table the man walked over to Turen, and offered his hand. Now it could be seen clearly, it was Chase. "Did I also mention he is quite the ball buster, Kryth?" Turen crossed his arms, apparently offended, also making a note that Chase is completely different than before. He shrugs it all off and shakes the still offered hand. "Ok, you got me. Now why did you go through the effort? What is going on?"
A big smile crossed both of the men's faces, obviously they had some aspirations for the newcomer. Before explaining anything they offered a meal, a real meal. Turen could hardly turn this down. They walked into the kitchen, which held an older lady working hard. By the hug from Kryth, it was evidently his wife.
After the food was devoured, the discussion began.
Chase starts off, "So, Turen, let me explain what we're about." Turen cuts in, "Let me guess, this is some sort of underground thing against the Coalition?" Kryth looks a bit stunned, "So you've heard of us?" Turen smirks, "You have a name? Well, no I suppose. The clues lead to that assumption though. I mean I help someone with a grunt, get this Help will arrive or some such note. Then Chase comes to my house, I was clearly watched after assisting the lady. Not to mention the effort it was to get here." Chase is distinctly impressed, "Very good, well we go by Enim Libertas. It is a group that, if you are clued in enough, can be found world wide. Might I ask why you helped our friend?" Turen answers without a moments thought, "It just wasn't right, I'm pretty sure I know what his motivation was. That is NOT something I can stand for." He hides the ulterior motives based in his past. Chase obviously doesn't think much more needs to be said on either of their parts and asks the big question, "What do you think? You in?" After a moments thought he adds, "No don't answer yet, just spend the day here and see how things are, excuse me that was a little preemptive." Turen nods in response.
They all exit the room and go back to the meeting room. At which point there is two knocks at the door. Kryth goes and answers while Turen and Chase go over to the table.
(heh, i didn't mean for you to write like me. I was just making sure no one that read would be confused... I wonder if anyone else reads this. Also I didn't expect the Coalition guy to actually be a bad guy, I figured it was a spy for EL or something visiting. Heh interesting.... I wonder if we'll ever tie our stories into each other?)

The phone begins to ring. It's probably from E.L. So, I could pick it up and ask for help, but then I'd be allowing the Coalition soldier to have time to harm both the girl and myself. Again, the phone rings. Ring! Ring! Ring! I start to reach out a hand to grab the phone on the wall, but out of the corner of my eye, I see the man walking towards me. I rip the phone off the wall and throw it at the man, who simply swats it away, but it gives me time to sprint across the room and grab the girl.
"Where is Marlene? What did you do to her?" I yell at the man as I safely hold the girl. "Oh, the maid? She's safe. As I told you, my business is only with the children," he says with a sly smile. "Where's Peter?" the small girl asks. "Be quiet," I tell her as I try to figure out what to do. Slowly, I slip my hand around the handle of the wooden bat, so that the Coalition soldier may not see.
(Ooops. I would have written more, but I just found out I have somewhere to go.)
(I think most people tie their stories together and interact with eachother, but our stories are kind of seperate at the moment. Also, I really don't think other people look in here actually, which is sorty of a bummer.)

As blood dripped down a black shirt sleeve he realised that he just killed two men. Knowing this he dropped the knife that he held in his hand and fell to the ground.
The brisk cool autumn air felt nice as the wind blew at his back causing leaves to fall and as the rain dripped they seemed together in a continuous cycle, similar to the cycle that is his life.
He runs, he hides, he kills, anything to survive. though he doesn't care for this world and he does not wish to change it he hates the people in it.
He drops the money that the bandits wanted from him beside their bloody corpses and continues on unaware of alliances such as the Coalation and Enim Libertas.
His name is Wolfgang and although he does not know of them it is the Coalation who has been following him for years, they are the cause of his nightmares. There is not much he can do to stop or prevent them from finding him even though he is hard to track. The Coalation only wishes to use him. Once being an experienced assassin he would be a usefull addition to them in helping to quell the resistance of Enim Libertas.
