((will bring in Murly when the time presents itself))

Lilith was jealous, not in the sense that the green eyed monster was gripping her around the throat, but it would often sneak up on when all was quiet in her mind. This is what was happening now, as it often did when she was patroling the boarders of her land. Usually it would come with a single thought and it would escalate into bitterness and anger. Why did Gerda have to have puppies?

That was the first stepping stone. Lilith and Karrim had been trying...so very hard. And with no luck. It caused her to consider that maybe, just maybe, it was her fault... she was older then Karrim, by a long shot afterall. Her own children had long since been adults. And of them....a perfect son who was left back at her old pack and two abominations in the eyes of everyone else.

A wolf as dumb as she was beautiful and a monstrosity that looked like a rodent.

She had failed as a mother that was to be sure. And now she was failing as a mate. Oh this was not good. Of course Karrim hadn't said anything of it, but still...still the fact that the mute femme could have pups and not she. She liked Gerda, she was a useful wolf to have, but all the same she couldn't help but feel annoyed by it all. Patrolling the lands were supposed to clear her head, offer some comfort for at least she was still alpha and in charge.

But right now all she could do was look off into the distance and mope.

Boldly, Carwyn trotted across the slopes, tail poised in a high arch above his back. He was no more than a pup and, therefore, had no authority to boast, especially in unfamiliar territory blatantly ruled by a pack. Boast he did though as he wandered, making a defiant meander towards the very heart of the territory.

In short, he seemed downright foolish.

Carwyn knew the risks, though. He was no fool, no pitiful, wandering waif. He was a child, but one cloaked in regal power that could match that of a full grown male's. As cocky as his outward persona seemed, he was, again, no fool. He knew precisely where his scarlet-tipped toes led him, as precisely as he knew every minute curvature of red branding his shoulder. He knew this was a pack, he knew strong, fearless individuals thrived here, and he knew he wanted to be a part of this radiant atmosphere. He knew nothing of the innerworkings, of what Gomorrah stood for. Nothing. But what he did know was enough to tug his mind and paws along with the simple intention of joining these ranks if he so could. Afterall, the smaller details could wait... he was just a pup and he knew without sustenance and nourishment he would be naught.

And again, while bold and while nearly stupid he appeared, his thought was a clever choice. Besides, should things become... ugly, he could solve them, could he not? He had done it before - casually slipping away under the sentinels dotting his previous pack's boundaries. Life had not been arduous nor demanding nor cruel in his previous pack. Carwyn simply detested how easily swayed Tarja had been and he could not bear to live in a pack so insecure.

Thus, he had left and thus he had wound up here out of curiosity, seeking to join. So it was no surprise - to him, at least - when he abruptly broke through a screen of bracken to pause before a distraught she-wolf. Still he wore that cloak of power, intrepidly incling his muzzle to peer with muted gold hues at the mottled fem. "Greetings, miss," Carwyn began steadily, voice laden with suave sincerity, "to whom do I owe the pleasure of meeting in these lands? Lands that intrigue me, if I may add. I apologize for intruding, however."

He did not explicitly state whether he meant for disrupting her gloomy reverie or for entering these lands without clear permission. Truthfully, he meant only to apologize for disrupting her, but seeing as both warranted an apology - whether he felt one due or not - he felt it was in his best intentions to discreetly express this as he could not be pegged for misconduct nor lying in such a way, it seemed.

Inwardly Lilith cursed herself once the voice greeted her ears before sight or smell reached her mind. She must have been in a deeper thought then she orginally percieved...and that was not a good thing. Especially for an alpha of the pack. What if this young lad had been much bigger and an assasin come to do her in? The fact was she'd been dead by now and over something so very foolish.

Puppies...puppies indeed.

She looked down at him, already impressed with the way the young one carried himself. She knew the pack was becoming more and more rampant with pups, but she paid that no mind. Puppies may be small and useless at first start, but in time they would prove to be a wonderful army. She grinned.

"These are my lands, so you are most dismissed in your apology. All are welcome to Gomorrah," she said, lifting her head back as the latter was spoken to demonstrate all that lay beyond her. "My name is Lilith."

She beyond her the sound of high pitched laughing could be heard, as a runt of a wolf stepped out. His head dipped down but a strange smile plastered to his face.

"Am I welcome as well?" he asked simply.

"Ah, then it seems I have certainly found the right wolf, Miss Lilith," he drawled, voice ringing with the pinpricks of awe. He paid no mind to the fact she had allowed her thoughts to wander on her little outing; she was still impressive in his eyes what with the way she was able to command such a broad swatch of land. As if outwardly express this new respect, he retracted a step or so and settled on his rump, but not without that unmistakable elegent poise. From there he spoke again, blinking lightly, innocently, "If all are welcome to Gomorrah, then I, too, am welcome? It would be an honor to join your ranks as a devoted and hard-working individual..."

Carwyn had been ready to elaborate more, to tell her that he was not like the other pups. He was certain she had already gathered the aura he bore, but he still felt it proper. That, of course, was until his ears twitched and his words dragged with a quiver in the air as another presence made itself known. If he had been intrigued by these lands alone, then he was doubly intrigued by the character now before him. He was a strange one indeed, like the stereotypical hyena epitomized in his very being. So simply did he express his intentions, so crudely did he hold himself that Carwyn felt the touches of mild distaste for the dark male.

He could not help but wonder how something like that could ever sneak up on him the way the dark male had. If he had never blatantly made himself known the pup would have remained perfectly unaware. For one so strange and so crude it seemed he was skilled at remaining concealed - when he wanted to be anyway.

How curious.

((you can take over Murly if you'd like now ^ ^ ))

Lilith's attention was only half pulled as she looked over to the new comer, her eyes dancing over his features as she sized him up. She was reluctant only because she had never seen this one before, but once he was read she settled her nerves. He was no threat and thus she was not worried. Her attention was turned back to the little pup who had wondered into these lands in the first place.

"You are welcome," she confirmed with an affirmative head nod. "Here you could certainly grow among our ranks. We put every member to use, no job is too shameful or small. Each holds a special place here."

Indeed Lilith had noticed the pup held a certain...aura about him. With the way he spoke, the way he carried himself, she even noticed the way he held her gaze, a feat that even older wolves wouldn't do, out of fear or a hidden untruth they would not speak of. Wolves like this could be useful if they were taken under and trained early. Otherwise the cocky nature could work against her. But, she thought it best to give this one a shot. Because if he was trained perhaps his confidence would be channeled another such way.

"What say you?" Lilith asked, a gesture of welcoming. It was then that she remembered the other and added, "Both." Though she would wait to hear his story before committing him or not.
