I want to see what people think about the Aztec, Nostradomous and Wicken belief of the world ending in 2012. I for one think it is a possibility.

Everything is a possiblity.
But, I don't think it will happen.

Matthew 24:36
36"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Don't depend too deeply on what I'm about to write. It's through calculations and human beliefs that I believe this.

In a nutshell, I believe that God's people will be raptured in the fall of 2011. Then there will be seven years of greater persecution to Christians and Jews than there ever has been. After that seven years, Jesus will come back to bind Satan, renew the Earth, and reign in His full glory for a thousand years. After that thousand years, Satan will be released and have one last chance to deceive people for a hundred years. Satan will once again be overthrown, this time be exiled for eternity in Hell while Christ will reign for eternity here on the new Earth.

I acknowledge that there are a lot of assumptions I took into account to find my date. A generation in the Bible is defined as 40, 70, 80, and 100 years. I used the 70 years, subtracting seven years for the Tribulation. By my calculations, therefore, 1948 + 70 - 7 = 2008. I got the fall by something I heard from a reliable man of God. He said that Jesus would return at the Feast of Trumpets, which is Rosh Hashanah, which is during September or October, depending on the year.

I repeat, this is not a definite time. These are just my beliefs. I don't mind if they're disputed.

I also believe Matthew 24:36. However, as Tim LaHaye says, this generation is now more likely than ever to be the generation in which Christ will return.

Short answer: No.
Long answer: Doomsday predictions are always wrong.

possibly, but I don't think so. I don't know the year, but I think that it will be sometime around 20 to 30 years from now. when I'm between 30 and 50. I'm 18.

I believe this because God gave me a sort of vision. I'll try to describe it here for you. I may even post a diagram of it.

Imagine a white ruler. on a white background. this ruler is thin. like the kind tailors use to measure you. It has the same black lines on it, but no numbers. on the other side of this ruler is a black circle. a very big back circle. darker than pitch. The ruler comes up to the edge of this circle and protrudes over it a bit.

I asked God about it. This is what I got. His answer is in "".

The ruler? "you"

The black circle? "bad"

What is this? (to that I got a feeling of understanding. as if he drew a line between two points for me.)

I believe when he said "you" he meant that literally. It was my Timeline. How long I'd live.

The circle? He was right. It WAS "bad". I could almost feel the evil coming from it. I believe it is the time of the Antichrist.

The reason that my timeline goes over the circle a bit, I believe, is a sign. It means that I'll probably live just long enough to realise that the end times are upon us. Then I will 'stop'. I don't know if I'll be raptured, or left behind and somehow killed. God didn't tell me.

He did tell me one other thing though. I 'looked' at the end of the ruler. where it stopped.

How long? "48"

I got a rough answer. He didn't exactly SAY 48. I got more of a sense of "between 30 and 50" but around 48 was the most likely age I ended up with.

I've never told anyone outside of my mom, sister and brother of this. Simply because I'd be thought a 'crazy'. One of those 'god nuts'. I hate the look I get when I tell people things like that. "Your crazy. I think I'll get away from you as soon as I'm able then avoid you like the black plague!" *shudder* (I can do things that I shouldn't be able to do. Gifts from God. I'll tell you guys some other time.)

That is why I've not committed suicide. I don't want to call God a liar! XD

But yes. that is why I don't think things will end in 2012.

about the world ending

it's kind of a shaky translation
It could be the world will end but like December becomes January of a new year

so in that sense will the world end...yes
will I see the sun the next morning...yes (*cross fingers*)

Maybe , maybe not. In the end who cares? When the end comes there's nothing much we can do. So, like the song, "Live like you were dying."

I know what you meant, but the way you said it... I don't think that's a good idea.

Someone once said in their sig: They said "Live every day as if it were your last". Now I cry all the time and curse God.

"Live every day as it were your last?" Why?

"Live every day as it were your last?" Why?

Tomorrow is not a guarentee, you could easily die in your sleep. Its all up to God's master plan. So, we have to make sure to make every moment count while we're still here.

It's the Mayan belief. The Mayan calendar ends on December 12 2012.

But I don't think it will though. I mean look at Y2K. People were saying the world was going crash to an end but it didn't.

The only difference I see is that there are going to be riots and all sort of hell breaking loose with everyone claiming the anti-christ will come then. Yeah I can see it now. That's why I plan to stock on food flashlights batteries a scanner (police scanner to be exact) emergency equipment and wait it out. And laugh the day after knowing that there was no apocolypse and all the people who wrecked havoc on the city would be in jail..or somewhere...(I'll more than likely be in NY living with my bf)

that is a fantastic idea!! I think I'll join you in the "stock up and wait it out" plan. I always figured I would. ^_^

And if the world DOES end, or we're Raptured, my stockpile will help my neighbors!! XD *helpful*

They ancient aztecs didn't believe that 2012 would be the day the world ends. They stopped making their calender on that day (I think it was Dec, 23) because they figured that when they got close to that date they can continue to do more calculations for the calender. It was recent Aztec people that believed that their ancestors were sending them a message. I don't think any of can guess when the final days are but I know that it is possible it will be in our generation.
