Only girls can come in here. Just like in the books, any boy trying to get in will turn the stairs to a marmar slide.
Here girls sleep, or retreat if they feel like it.

and put her stuff on her bed while her lizard wishagog stayed on her shoulder

Ginny was already sitting on one bed, her cubicle cluttered with her stuff, her trunk open at he end of the bed. "Hey Marduke, " she greeted the girl with a smile, her eyes gliding over Wishagog. "How've you been?"

Keli Jo walked into the dorm room to find two house mates busy in conversation. She turned towards her bed and pulled out her trunk. As she opened it random things where poping out. She quickly tried to pick them up before the others saw. She dug around a bit longer trying not to desturbe anyone till she found a big thick badly worn book. She lifted the book out of the trunk and sat it on the floor next to the trunk and stuffed the remainder of items back in. She shut the trunk and then pushed it back to where it had been when she cam in the room. She collected the book from the floor and then climbed in to her own bed cross legged and opened the book in front of her. Slowly fliping through the pages. Trying not to evesdrop on the other two girls in the room.

Ginger walked into the girls' dormitories quite slowly, looking around for her bed, as if slightly disorientated. She felt tired and sapped of energy, and hoped she'd feel better in the morning.
Clambering into her bed, she propped a book from the library up against her knees and started reading it, hoping she'd get to sleep faster this way.

Looking up from her book, Ginger eyed Marduke with interest. The book had turned out to be boring, and she was glad of the diversion. "Sure, Marduke. What's up?"

"umm i need to know how your sister would react if i asked her if my father could come meet me in the room of requirement." marduke took a deep breath.
"he can't come visit me and home because my mom would literally kill him,,,,,and probably me" marduke said seriously.

Ginger looked thoughtful for a moment.
" I wouldn't tell her," She told her, abruptly. "I could stand on guard outside if you want me to, with Persephone. But Chelsea can't know. If you ask her she wouldn't agree. If we do it right, she won't have to find out."

Ginger looked thoughtful for a bit, then nodded slowly.
"Lets tell Persephone then, and you can tell him in whatever way so that it won't be intercepted. There's no risking anything with Chelsea," She warned.
"ME and Sephie will have to be on the lookout more than anything else though."
