What a pretty butterfly! Yellow eyes followed the flittering bug as it danced down the sidewalk. Ronin took a few quick steps foward, and then looked back at his guardian. She certainly was not paying any attention to him but still had her hand fastened tightly to his leash. But she was a tad spacely, so there was definitely that air of escape and capability of chasing after the butterfly.

Ronin took another step. A larger one still. A few quicker ones... certainly he was not testing his guardian, not this obidient little boy. Hah! The boy lurched foward and went into a sprint as fast as his little toddler legs could take him.

The leash held fast though and Sanrio came stumbling crazy behind him screaming.
"Stop! Ronin, jesus, halt! Cease! Heel! C'mon now!"
She would even give some crazy tugs to the roped child, but that didn't fault him any, he would certainly be catching that butterfly.

Before, Sanrio had no intent on bringing harm to the boy, but he seemed to have been crossing over a nice cushy, grassy lawn now. The girl pulled the leash with all her might and the toddler came tumbling back onto his bottom.

"Yeah." She wheezed. "Just a bit."

Ronin lay in the grass in sheer hysterical laughter.

"Do it again! Do it again!" He chanted.

"You think so?" Sanrio asked, nudging the boy with her foot.

Ronin looked up and smiled to Mignon.

"I 'member yuuuu!" He beamed happily, waving, still on his back.

"Oh yeah, I suppose." Sanrio agreed, holding the blue leash up a little. "Child Harnesses are seriously the best invention ever." She laughed.

"Eggs." Ronin wrinkled his nose. "You saved me from the mean kid. And there were rabbits!" the boy rolled once more with laughter.

Now, anyone who heard this silly story would have deemed the boy insane. But others may recall a certain Easter picnic all the Sin'aeis' were invited to. It was anyone's call.

"Oh yes. I do try." Sanrio smiled letting the leash drop to the ground.

"Mmmhmm!" The boy flopped upward so that he was sitting cross-legged. He looked Mignon in the eyes. "Same color as mine." He reached out to pet the onion teen's locks.

Ronin dropped his hand from Mignon's hair and gave a terrified look.
"Don't do it!" The boy cried, jumping to his feet. He gave a quick start to a dash, but was pulled back by the nylon rope that held him fast to his guardian.

Sanrio laughed and dropped the leash. "He is quite ticklish, have at him."

Ronin looked to Sanrio and then Mignon and back at Sanrio. She just sold him out! That is not what mommy's are supposed to do. He rolled behind Sanrio's legs, holding fast to both ankles, carefully peering from behind to watch the older Sin'aeis.

Ronin popped out from behind his guardian, giggling like mad.
"Oh no!" He cried, ducking behind a near-by blue, post-office letter-bin. The butter toddler covered his face with his hands. She can't see me now.

Ronin peered between his fingers. His little trick must be working. He took a step foward towards Mignon, removed his hands from his face, and then latched himself to the girl's legs.

"I'm here!" He exclaimed.
