and now the juicy bits...
An Israeli parliamentarian said that several earthquakes felt in Israel recently were a consequence of gays and the parliament's acceptance of them.
Shlomo Benizri of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish Shas Party, said the way to stop the tremors was for parliament to reverse its trend of liberalising laws concerning homosexuals.
Two quakes originating in neighboring Lebanon shook much of Israel last week, the first coming two days after Israel's attorney-general ruled that same-sex couples could adopt children.
During two weeks in November and December, four earthquakes shook parts of Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian territories.
None of the tremors caused any serious injuries or major damage.

Dear god.. Its like gays are the scapegoats jews once were. What was once, and sometimes still is, BLAME THE JEWS! Has become BLAME THOSE FAGGOTS! It's ironic.

Right now I'm just picturing two guys in Tel Aviv watching the news, watching this Parliament Member going on about how homosexuals cause earthquakes, giggling to themselves.

So.... What causes all the other natural disasters that happen? Not like we have earthquakes every day, either.
Kind of sad I'm not surprised people are this ignorant.

It bothers me when the ignorant and the bigoted are Jews. Whether they're in public office or not, it's shameful for a Jew to ascribe to such magical thinking. "Step on a crack and break your mother's back?" Come on, do you really know any mother whose back was broken because someone stepped on a sidewalk crack?
Earthquakes are caused by natural, and scientifically provable, patterns of movement in the earth's crust. Whether David and Jonathan (or Ruth and Naomi) felt the earth move or not, it wasn't their doing.
