Personality || Marilyn tends to come off as "mysterious" or any number of other silly adjectives along that line. This is mostly an act, something she enjoys doing when she runs her shop (the part of the mysterious, beautiful shop owner always appealed to her).
Generally, though, she is a fun loving and caring person with maternal instincts out the wazoo. At times she can act girly, enjoying to dress up and look pretty whenever she goes out, even if it is to just run down the street to the store to pick up some eggs. She isn't afraid to get her hands dirty, though, and often delves into the dustiest of attics and basements in order to claim more curiosities for her shop, no matter how dangerous the item is.
Background || Marilyn was born in Barton Town, the only child to mechanic and a snooty debutante. She grew up there, went to college there, and then moved out as fast her legs would carry her.
When her grandparents passed away, she inherited their shop, Balcombe Curiosities which turned out to be a bad idea in general what with not being warned that some of the objects in there will turn into sentient beings when they feel like it.
She currently resides in Durem with her three children.

Special Abilities || Faline has heightened hearing and is able to pick up on things most regular people wouldn't be able to hear. She's also an incredible runner.
Personality || Faline is your typical teenage girl, but with a geek twist. She loves such girly things as fashion and shopping, and one day hopes to fulfill her dream of being a famous clothing designer, but she also enjoys hanging out with her nerd friends at lunch and discussing how best to bring down that orc in their next campaign.
Faline can also be rather a**l retentive about things and is very responsible for her age. If her school work isn't done, she doesn't like to do anything else until it is. Chores? Not a problem in the slightest. Things also can't be out of order or else she has to line them up again.
Background || Faline started out as a ceramic rabbit figure that her mother had acquired from a little old lady to sell in her shop of curiosities. She's technically the first of her kind that Marilyn knows of, part of a species that she's dubbed "Curio"s.
She lives with her mother and two brothers in Durem where she attends high school. She is currently in her senior year and is looking forward to getting out of there and starting on with college.

He's also rather violent and enjoys ripping things apart with his arm blades. It seems to be one of his favorite past times. Everyone in the family is hoping that he grows out of this when he gets older and that this is only a phase.

Marilyn's father is a rather eclectic older man with a penchant for collecting socks and pebbles. Why socks and pebbles? God only knows. Though he's lacking in the sanity department, he's a sweet man and is ecstatic to hear he has grandchildren, even if they are a bit on the fuzzy and pokey side.

In contrast to her husband, Marilyn's mother is austere and enjoys scolding her daughter every chance she gets. Marilyn swears that her mother's face is puckered the way it is from all the looks she received as a small child.

Marilyn's house is rather strange. It's located in the stockroom of the Curio Shop, just through what would usually be the janitorial closet (the cleaners are store elsewhere now).
The house itself is in a pocket dimension connected with that closet. The buzzer from the shop and the telephone lines cross over as well so she can still reach Gaia proper.
