This thread is for discussing rules and descisions for the rp forum.
When there is a possibility of a new rule, you get to come here and vote whether or not you want said rule.
Just because I'm the mod of the rp forum doesn't mean I'm going to go power crazed and force whatever rule I want on you guys.
So instead, I'm trying to make it a more of a communal process.
Here are the RP rules so far!:
1.) Obviously, follow the ToS.
2.) Please keep OOCing to a minimum. There is a forum specifically for discussion.
3.) Try and stay semi-neutral when it comes to the touchy subject of subbers and shippers.
(I don't mind, but other people might.)
4.) Not completely mandatory, but highly recommended to read all new posts in the rp. Especially before you complain about the lack of story line.
(But with the new plot line, you don't have to read all of the old plot posts to join in on the current one. Not unless you just want to.)
5.) If you think there is anything else that should be brought up.- Any issues, questions, or disputes. Post them here and it'll get sorted out.
(Yes, this will be an enforced RULE now. If there is an issue or complaint, post it here!)

Nothing! Hurray for no debate!
- 1st debate closed. You can type however the hell you want.
- 2nd debate closed. All characters were re-set for a new plot.
- 3rd debate closed. Old posts are staying in the forums.

Oops. I may or may not have broken that semi-neutral rule... My bad. biggrin
As for banning txt tlk and l33t, my problem with it is that it's pretty annoying. I mean, I don't mind typos and misspellings, but I don't think it's asking too much to spell out your words and have a decent sentence in a roleplay. I'm sure I have more to say on the subject, but it is currently almost 1 in the AM where I am, so my brain is mush. That's the major problem I have with it, though. Maybe I'll edit this when I'm not so tired and list a few more reasons.
Also, what do you mean by freedom of text? Is it a play on freedom of speech, so we should be able to write what we want to?

well then people should be allowed to show their personality by saying they are incredibly annoyed by the way you type. If you're going to use your freedom to type how you want, be prepared for the reactions of others, who have the right to complain against your style of typing. Also, it's not discrimination against you. You just happen to be the only one who types that way. How's that for a fancy speech?

It's not being discriminatory. We haven't even made it a rule yet. We're still compromising to satisfy everyone's needs/wants.
As for the "freedom of text", I was just tired and wanted some type of poll going on about the issue.
And I don't think you were breaking it, I was mainly talking about snogging and stuff like that.

You know, in Fins, Femmes, and Gems they were originally going to have Gabrielle be obsessed with sexual positions but TPTB wouldn't let that fly.
