(Editing, because people cant read.) Is it just me, or are Blizzard getting lazier and lazier with graphics? Are they running out of ideas? Can they not afford to hire someone to design stuff? Or do their graphic designers just simply suck? If anyone hasnt noticed sunwell loot graphics have been posted up on mmo-champion/world of raids from the PTR. (They're all in this video) http://www.warcraftmovies.com/stream.php?id=63383&stream=FilefrontAnd from what Ive heard (tho Ive not read it anywhere yet) Season 4 arena gear is going to have sunwell graphics. That wasnt so bad before when every class had a unique looking set, but seriously. Using [cloth chest graphic] for EVERY single cloth chest in the expansion. Lame Blizzard. Seriously. Anyone else think this sucks a bit and that we deserve some unique graphics? EDIT: adding world of raids/mmo-champion links so you can get a better idea of where my information is comming from, not just some shitty video. Of course I cant prove that they will be the graphics when 2.4 comes out, but they are what Blizzard currently have in the PTR. http://www.worldofraids.com/http://www.mmo-champion.com/---------------------- And despite the realization that it isnt T7, as far as Im aware so far those are still going to be the graphics used for arena S4 (as posted on mmo-champion/worldofraids) which means your arena graphics are going to look the same for each armor type. Also Id like to note that Ive HEARD (I havent read anywhere) that the actual T7 graphics are going to be recycled T3.

I dont think that is true T7.
I see some Feralheart gear in there, except smaller. Also some stuff that looks a lot like Shaman T3. Some of the sets were the exact same, but with different colors.
I heard somewhere that they released pics of Season 4 already, but i havent seen them yet. Ill get a link soon. Blizzard doesnt change much, so i bet Season 4 is identical to T7.

LOL PROOFS IT
OH WAIT YOU CANT
Lets try putting some thought into this. Maybe they're using old graphics as placeholders for the T7 graphics while they make them? I mean, think about it. Blizzard hasn't done this before, and I doubt they're going to seriously just be like "lolz i turn this red part into purple lolol good job on t7 guys".
OR WE CAN JUST JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS

Blizzard puts a lot of hard work into the designs for their tier sets, you should see the artbooks. Lots of sketches for em. I think Max is right, they're probably just using em as placeholders while they get everything else set up. Dont worry, they'll be epic-looking and original.

Blizzard does reuse tier models, but not for the next tier I think you'll find.

OR WE CAN JUST JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS Yeah, my point was blizzard hasnt done this before. But they also havent released a PTR with placeholder graphics before either. AFAIK all teir items were designed before the release of the previous PTRs. So if thats the case then fair enough. But come on, Blizzard have been re-using graphics for practically all of TBC. LOL arcanist. All season gear looks like tier gear, all off set gear looks like tier gear, this now wouldnt supprise me, only dissapoint me.

Where did I say they were reusing old tier modles for new tiers? AMG NO WHERE? They're all new modles, just practically idential for all classes. Maybe you'd like to be a t**t some more now that Ive had to re-explain the main post to you since you clearly didnt read/understand it.

vente_sparda Didnt blizzard say they arent going to release a tier 7 for sunwell? Actually, I think I remember hearing this as well. Like Nax being the tier 7 lootz (and Blizzard resuing the old t3 graphics for it) which would make sunwell like a t6.5 similar to AQ40. Where I guess they did reuse the same [cloth item graphic] with recoloring for everything.

The only confirmed set pieces in Sunwell thus far are extensions of tier 6(boot/bracers/belt). My guild has had 4xConq bracers from our PTR Kalecgos kills. I doubt a new set will be started from only M'uru and Kil'jaeden drops.
Datamined placeholders or incomplete/notintendedforrelease sets~

Considering how much money Blizzard gets from WoW, they could give a rat's a** on how the graphics/gameplay/etc. are. Because they know, and you don't know, that no matter how crappy the game is, there are so many people into WoW that they'll play no matter how bad it is.

Based on what I've read so far, the Sunwell is not going to have T7, just added T6 (belt, wrist, boots, so on), and a bunch of really badass epic gear.
As for the Sunwell set gear, I really can't say whether they really are using the current models as placeholders for the future set or not, but I won't be suprised either way.
All in all, the upcoming content in general should be pretty awesome. Though there are some notes, details, and aspects a lot people would consider unfavorable, I would say the good in this patch is definitely going to outweigh the bad.

It's like AQ minus the bugs.
Tier 6.5. Tier 7 is gonna be for the exp set. domokun
( I can't remember if the AQ40 gear had reused models from each other << >> )

Though they seem almost exactly alike, they have distinctions.
-The cloth gear is the same. -The Druid set has a skirt rather than leggings, and the gloves have different models. -The Shaman set has a skirt, and the gloves have different models. -The Plate sets have different shoulders.
And it's Tier 6.5 instead of T7.
