Rimmos yawned, sitting nowhere in particular just a large grassy spot. He scratched the back of his head, a hand resting on the long musical insturment set in his lap. He thought a few moments, swaying a little, before beginning to play, one hand traveling up and down the long neck, the other hand's fingers plucking the strings, moving past sour and flat notes without much thought to them, eyes closed. It sounded it's usual muted to him, but he could still hear it well enough.

Roxanne sighed, lifting one hand to brush his fingers back through her hair. Straightening as high as she could manage without her tail aching from the effort, the female naga gazed down at her reflection in the river's clear waters. Messing absently with her hair, she watched as these actions were repeated with uncanny exactness by the naga on the water's surface. A soft huff left the naga's lips then, the female lowering herself from her full height.
That was when she noticed the light notes floating along with the breeze. Tilting her head, the naga looked around for the source of the noise. She couldn't see anything initially, but the notes did seem pretty distant. Lowering her hands from her hair, the female turned away from the water and started off in the direction she believed the music to be coming from. She heard the occasional 'off' note, but she also noticed that, when you ignored those, the music was really... nice. When a naga came into view holding an instrument, Roxanne could only assume that he was the one playing.
Moving over the grass, she stopped nearby. For a few moments she considered speaking, but she didn't want to interrupt...

Rimmos kept playing, not noticing her until he opened his eyes and saw her shadow from the corner of his eye. He startled, as he startled quick easily, and jumped, just about tossing the insturment in the air as he turned to face her. Upon seeing it wasn't either of his brothers or something, he let out a breath, then blinked, smiled brightly, and waved at her. He held his insturment in the other hand, cradeling it.

Roxanne smiled awkwardly, a bad feeling settling in her stomach at having surprised the other naga. She moved closer as he waved to her, bowing slightly before offering him that same awkward smile. "I'm sorry if I startled you," she said innocently, fingers lacing with her hands behind her back. "But I heard you playing and I came to see where that music was coming from." Settling back slightly, the end of her tail flicked once.

Rimmos blinked a moment, then smiled and held up the insturment. He was silent a moment, then spoke. "This." He said, nodding. "Music." He smiled, and placed it in his lap, making a few notes. "That music?" His speech was careful, abt a bit hesitant.

Roxanne was patient however. Her smile grew more relaxed after a few moments, and she nodded eagerly at the other's carefully spoken question. "Uh-huh!" A bright smile sat now on Roxanne's lips, the naga resting her hands on the grass. "It's really nice!"

"Thank you!" Rimmos smiled brightly, then held it out. "Want...to try?" He asked, still smiling, still careful.

Roxanne seemed to consider this for a few moments, looking between Rimmos and the instrument. "Sure," she eventually responded before moving closer and cautiously taking the offered instrument. Settling herself, she shifted to hold the instrument as she'd seen Rimmos holding it earlier. Looking again to Rimmos, she tilted her head. "How do I...?"

Rimmos smiled and palced one hand on the neck, holding down a string, while the other strummed the strings once. "Hold," he said, nodding at the neck as he let go of the string."Strings," he said, nodding at the strings lower down. He smiled, then jumped. "Rude!" He pointed at himself. "Rimmos!" He smiled, blushing a bit.

Roxanne paid careful attention to the other's instruction, nodding as she watched. At the other's sudden jump and exclamation, a startled yelp slipped from the female's lips. Realizing what the other meant, she chuckled softly. "It's okay. I'm not better, obviously. It's nice to meet you, Rimmos. My name is Roxanne."

"Roxanne?" Rimmos said, trying the name, before smiling and nodding. "Nice to...meet you!"

Roxanne couldn't help the small smile that tugged insistantly at her lips. Mind, that wasn't saying she didn't approve of the other or disliked the smiling... Looking down again at the stringed instrument, Roxanne moved to imitate what the other had done earlier. She cringed as the first note came out sour, taking a slow breath before trying another.

Rimmos didn't seem to notice the sour note in the least, and just kept smiling, nodding as she tried the insturment. "Good," he said with another nod, another smile.
(I am so sorry this took so long to get back too. My cosplay group has been wild the past half a week. >_<;; ))

Roxanne nibbled lightly on her lower lip before continuing, one hand moving to change the notes she played as her tongue poked out between her lips. At the other's praise, her lips curled into a soft smile.

Rimmos smiled and the end of his tail tapped a little to some kind of imaginary beat in his mind. "Is...fun? Yes?" He smiled, hoping she felt the same joy he did as when he played.
