Shrouded water. Strong willed and icy. Secretive and fierce. Shrouded by fire.
So my brother came down with the flu, and gave it to the rest of the family. I'm literally the only one who isn't sick. So now I'm disinfecting everything before I touch it. And my brother is screaming at me for it. I have a really awesome class trip to DC soon, and will not get sick. This sucks. I hate orange juice and am now drinking it every other minute. Advice? Anyone stuck in my predicament before? crying crying crying

Doesn't the flu shot make you temporarily sick though? (Never had a flu shot)
If so, that might not be the best option, since her trip is soon.
Just keep drinking that orange juice xp

Yeah. Isn't the flu shot just giving you a different less nasty sickness because you can't get the flu when you have it?
I haven't been sick yet this winter either. (I thought I was getting sick a few days ago but it was just a headache.) Even when I was at my moms house when everyone there was sick I remained healthy. Sometimes you're just lucky I guess. Just keep disinfecting and keep your distance so you don't catch it from the air.

The flu shot only gets you sick if you have a reaction to it.
I never get sick when I get the shot.

That has happened to me before, I had to feed everyone of my family memebers(5 sick) and all my animals (6 chickens, 6 goats, a lizard, 2 turtles, adog, a cat, and tons of fish(3 fishtanks full)) Plus I had to go to school every morning while they stayed home and complained about al of the things they couldn't do during the day. I didn't disinfect everything though...

yeah the flu shot gives you some flu symptoms because your body has to adjust to the bacteria thats in the shot. well dont coup yourself in the house to much or else you might catch it through the air. i wouldnt suggest drinking any milk. you could eat oranges instead of the juice all the time....it tastes better with some substance. umm potassium-bananas...thats all i can think of.

I called her on the phone and she touched herself... If you regularly eat things like yogurt with prebiotic cultures it will help your immune system as well. Just generally eating healthier foods will make you body more able to fight off infection though. ...I laughed myself to sleep.

Yeah, a flu shot only gets very few people sick, and it's not really the actual shot that does get them sick.
Many of you probably know this, but for those who don't here's how a shot works: They inject dead microbes of the disease causing virus into your bloodstream, which are detected by the immune system and destroyed without you ever getting sick. Once this occurs, your immune system knows from then on how to attack that specific virus so it never gets you sick.
The reason for getting a flu shot more than once is because the virus keeps mutating and so last year's vaccine won't do any good against this year's flu virus.

The flu is evil.
I'm sick at the moment, but I don't think it's flu. I think it's a cold.
Just try and stay healthy as possible. Disinfecting anything doesn't really do much either. I'm sure the flu's airbourne.

The flu must be very evil, though I never got the flu shot or the flu. >.<
But falling up stairs and re-hurting your Achilles heel hurts too.
GAH. I have to wear a pad under my heel to prop it up.

I hate the flu. I just got over a stomach flu on Monday.
As to the keeping you from getting sick thing :: Vinegar. Mix apple cider vinegar with honey, 50|50 and drink a couple spoonfuls of it every morning. The vinegar kills bacteria and whatnot, and the honey makes it less disgusting. : D
