Nuhusi yawned, stretching out her front paws as she reached the bank of a small watering hole. It was dusk and she had just awoken from one of her daily naps. The black leopardess worked much better at night, after all. She lifted bright oranges briefly to the horizon where the light was fading. Then with smooth steps and a dip of her head she reached towards the water and took a long drink. She didn't have to hunt tonight, since she had eaten a few days before, so she worried not about scarying away the few grazing prey beasts nearby.

Ipentshisi sighed as she strolled out across the landscape, cyan eyes catching glimmers of movement among the shadows. The moon was bright enough to show her a path, to let her feet fall upon a direction that would lead her out and away from her childhood home. Though she was still young, she was more than confident of her capabilities of taking care of herself now. After all, her mother, bless the poor old lioness, hadn't done a very good job of it due to her own handicaps.
She adjusted her path to the scent of water, and as hre eyes fell upon the sight of a leopardess almost as black ast he night itself, one eyebrow quirked. She'd not expected to find anyone in her midnight retreat from home. "Hello there," came the drawl of her calculated, honey-sweet words. Oh, she was not a kind lioness, not in the pits of her twisted little hard, but as of yet she did not wish anyone harm. She would change, but for now her cub-hood innocence held a few strings on her yet. She brought herself to the water hole, slowly, and dipped her head. It'd be no good to scare the female off before she'd gotten a proper talk out of her.

Nuhusi turned her head lazily, her ears pulling forward languidly. She smiled at the lioness, a warm and casual expression. Water dripped from her jaw and whiskers glittering before the sun would vanish. Pink...a very attractive color, just like red. This lioness would be in for forturne and misfortune alike. "Hello," she greeted silkily, lifting her head and curling her long tail.

The way in which she was greeted put Shisi at ease. She was sure this leopardess meant no harm, and as an adolescent, that was a good thing. She couldn't have held her own against many creatures, being that she was so young still and small for her age on top of that. She felt no ill feelings radiating off of the other, so her composure relaxed, and her gaze rested calmly upon the other.
"Are you familiar with these lands?" she asked casually before dipping her maw down to the water, taking a few laps of the cold, crisp liquid before raising it once more. She knew the lands of kusini fairly well, but once past their borders, she was on her own.

"I do not live here," Nuhusi replied simply, tilting her head with a brief feeling of curiosity as she continued to smile, "But I have been numerous places...I cannot promise any information, I suppose, since I move so much, but if you wish to ask you may." Why else would the young lioness ask if she knew the lands? And the dear was rather young, just flown from the nest it seemed. There was no harm in helping her. Besides, she was interesting. She didn't meet the young on their own very frequently.

She considered her for a moment, gentle blue eyes staring at the darker form of the leopardess before her. Her tail flickered, the tuft brushing across the grasses that sprouted up around her, and her mind tried to think of what sort of question she truly wanted to ask. She had no idea where she was truly headed, but she did wish to make some form of progress and get herself away from the direction the Kusini lands were in. Desperately, she tried to pick out any pride name she had heard tell of.
"Do you know how to get to the Pridelands from here?" she asked, pausing a moment on the name of the actual pride, then nodded as if confirming it to herself. She had heard passing mention of the pride, and it seemed as good a place to head as any.

"Mmm....the pridelands..." Nuhusi smiled knowingly. She certainly knew how to get there. When she visited she always seemed to encounter the same pleasant lion...no, it wasn't a place she'd forget that quickly. Not when there was such amusement there.
She didn't usually keep a mental map, at least not consciously. She liked the surprise of finding herself in a new place every day. But she did keep one, even if it was hard to dig up and only done so when others needed information. She certainly never used it, going whereever her paws took her. "I believe....it is northeast from here? More north then east. Looking for a bit of a haeven, are you?" It was a friendly question, to say the least.

The smile that spread across the other's maw was certainly informative long before the other spoke. She had obviously been there and seemingly liked it Perhpas if Shisi did end up there she would not hate it terribly so. She didn't figure that she was ever going to be the type to stay in one place very long, but she certainly wouldn't mind being somewhere pleasant for a little while.
"Perhaps," she said with a soft laugh, her tail flickering behind her as she turned to face the direction in which the other had mentioned. She stared off as if she could see the horizon, but shadows clouded the path. "I am mostly looking for somewhere new. I grew up not far from here and I feel it is time for a change of scenery." She smiled, cool eyes coming back to rest upon the darker form. "I would pin you as a traveler, so you must know what I mean."

Nuhusi chuckled, her eyes crinkling pleasantly as she flashed her white teeth, "Yes, you guessed right. I have never been one to stay in one place. I pefer....to wake up to something new every morning." Besides, most prides believed in claiming land and to her that seemed so silly it wasn't worth it. How could you claim something that was living?
She leaned back thoughtfully, twining her tail about her paws, "Mm....if you are looking for someplace new, the jungle is quite different from these lands. The sea is as well. Both would definately give you something to see."

She smirked at the girl's talk, nodding slowly as she continued on. "I grew up here, and now I think it is high time that I experienced something new." She chuckled lightly, tail waving behind her. She had never really bothered with the concepts of prides. She wasn't into that sort of comradery and she much preferred the idea of being in a small group - a group where she was more than likely the leader.
"Oh, which ways are the jungle and the beaches?" she asked with a quirked brow, her eyes shifting to the direction that the other had mentioned the pridelands to be in, storing it mentally. She wasn't sure where she was going, not yet, and she had a bit of a need to seek out her sister before she truly left. "I'm not going to be leaving home tonight, but it's best to know my options for when I leave in the upcoming days."

"Mm..." Nuhusi cycled through her mental map again. She might as well just tell the lioness of numerous places, now shouldn't she? Make things a lot easier. "The sea is to the east. There are some lush lands there, as well as a desert along the coast to the north. Beyond the pridelands there is also a desert...jungles are scattered, there are some north of here and some south east. In between there are hills, savannah, and other numerous landscapes." She twitched her ears thoughtfully, blinking a little as she smiled, "If you simply travel you'd see it all in time, I suppose. There is quite a lot to see." She knew that better then anyone and she still was far from seeing everything. Such was life.

Shisi commited everything the leopardess said to memory, a soft nod here and there showing that she was indeed listening. Her eyes were concentrated upon her face, as if remembering it would help make the information clearer. With a final nod, she let a pleased smile spread acorss her maw. "I am young, and right now I think that it'd probably be best to stick near prides for my travel. Perhaps when I am older, it will be easier for for me to travel as you have." What she didn't say was that prides meant populations of other creatures, and other creatures meant gathering a following for the purpose she knew was her own. "I do thank you for all of that information, though, it will make my travels much easier." After a pause, a flicker of her ear, she tilted her head slightly, "are there any places you know of that are.. hostile?" Well, she didn't really want to go barging in somewhere where it might her her throat ripped out.

Nuhusi nodded. The young one was certainly smart and whatever benefits she was looking out for she was certainly making notes. Nuhusi didn't try to understand her reasonings, for she didn't mind either way. Shutting her eyes briefly she purred, perhaps an odd reponse to a question on hostilities. "The desert north of the pridelands is not friendly," she advised, though she had never really been within the pride's borders herself, "No other ones come to mind. Though they certainly exist, I do not think they outnumber the prides that at least practice tolerance."

She nodded to herself, tail flickering once again as she made a mental note not to venture to the deserts north of the pridelands. Now that she knew generally what lay in which direction, she felt she had a better chance at surviving on her own. Well, perhaps not entirely on her own, but her company would not make much of a difference so far as survival went, she was sure. "Alright, thank you for that. I'd not want to go somewhere where I might end up in trouble," she nearly purred it out, a soft smile making her eyes dance.
She tilted her head again, watching the other. "Forgive all my questions, I'm just trying to make sure I don't end up wandering aimlessly and getting too far from help if I come to need it, but how far would you say the pridelands were from here?" She was fairly sure she'd head in that direction first - it was a common ground she'd heard of many times.

"I'd say...." she tapped her tail, as if it were helping her count exactly how far the distance was, "Not too far. Maybe a few days from here. There is only one pride inbetween, really." There were two, technically speaking, but they were side by side, not one on top of another, so it did not increase the distance in her mental map. Letting her orange eyes slide back into focus she chuckled warmly, "I think you will fair fine. You seem quite the intellegent, resourceful lionesss."
