Kyo had gone out for a swim on a warm day, paddling out into the ocean at a comfortable distance from the shore. He swam around with just his ears and head bobbing out of the water. On the shore out of reach of the water was a tangle of colorful bulbs that the enyalie left behind

Hallie had spend the most of the warm day traveling around. She’s searched out food before just going for a calm quiet walk along the beach. She loved the water, though she rarely swam much unless she was fishing. The female enyalie was enjoying the warmth the day had brought and the feeling of the cool moist sand beneath her paws. She was day dreaming, and didn’t notice the string of lights until she was caught her foot on it and tripped letting out a small yelp. Pulling herself up again she turned to look, pawing at the string and wondering what it was doing there.

The water was nice and cool, a good way to cool off and take a bath at the same time. Kyo sucked in a breath and dunked under the water, swimming down and chasing fish. When he resurfaced he had wound up closer to the beach and just let the waves wash his body up onto the sand. Stepping out he shook out his fur making it stick out in all directions.
He wasn't wash up in the same spot or his lights would surely be there waiting for him. Glancing down the beach he did a double take at the female a few feet away struggling with something. He trotted over to her, holding in a laugh. "Need help?" he asked, already leaning down to untangle her foot.

Stopping Hallie looked up at the male, blinking once then twice. She hadn‘t seen where he‘d come from but she was glad he had appeared. Getting help to get loose would be great. “ Um, sure. ” Once he had her freed she shifted herself and pulled up to her feet once more. Turning to look at the white and black enyalie she smiled. “ Thanks you, sorry for the bother though. I‘m Hallie, you are? ”

Kyo seemed to know just how to help her unravel herself, tugging the string of lights off. "It's quite alright. I should be apologizing. I shouldn't have left them where a lady could get caught up in them." He smiled to her, paws tangling in his lights. "Hallie. That's a pretty name. I'm Kyo."

She stared a moment when he called her a lady before she looked down and blushed slightly. It was rare for her to be called a lady. Looking up again a moment later she had forced the warmth in her cheeks away. Smiling at him she nodded. “ Nice to meet you. Um, do you wear those all the time. " Lifting her paw she motioned towards the lights he was saved her from.

Kyo looked down, shuffling his paws in the sand. The string of lights coiling in different directions and trapping his legs close together. Tilting his head he looked back up to her, into her eyes as he nodded. "Yeah. Except when I swim." He shrugged his shoulders and grinned. "It's not so bad. I got used to it. So came down for a stroll?" he questioned, getting a better look at her now that he wasn't so distracted.

Taking a seat Hallie nodded, her bi colored eyes catching the light. “ Yes, I like the sound of the waters lapping at the shore and the small and the sand between my toes… ” She trailed off catching herself before she drifted off into another day dream. “ Sorry, I loss myself rather easily at times, I don’t mean to but I do. " She laughed slightly, a mild nervousness in her tone now. She was used to others finding it annoying that she would ramble sometimes.

He sat down as well after seeing her settle into the sand, his fur still damp and sticking up in all sorts of directions. He heard everything he said with his gaze fixed on hers. Her eyes were as interesting as her fur pattern. Chuckling he shook his head "It's alright, I didn't mind one bit. I like being here for the same reasons. The water is fun to swim in." He commented with a smile to show he really didn't find her annoying at all. "The sunsets are pretty nice as well" his tone light and full of hope that he could see one with her.

Her smile grow as he spoke of the sunsets. “ I love both the sunset and sunrises here, actually I spend a whole lot of time here watching it. ” She glanced out over the water her tail curling around herself as she sat there silently for a few moment. Looking back at the male she. “ Actually I was panning on staying to watch tonight, join me? ”

His smile also grew to a grin. Finally a friend to do things with. "Sure!" he answered cheerfully. "It's awhile yet. Did you want to do something else?" Getting up to his feet he glanced around then glanced to her. "Have you made sand things before?"

Her head tilting slightly to the side a questioning look came over her features and she stared at him a moment. “ What are sand things? ” She glanced at the sand a second before looking back at him. “ I didn’t know you could make things out of sand at all. How? ”

Kyo trotted away "Come on" he padded close to the waves where the sand was damp but far enough away that the waves could only lightly lick over the sand and not destroy anything. He started digging, kicking up wet sand into a mound. Shifting he made a big hole so they could both share the makeshift sand dune. Then he flopped down, looking to her. "You can sit over there but give us room between us to work." He nodded then showed her what he meant, pulling sand over and kneading it. It was nothing spectacular but he was starting to build the mountains further inland.

She followed the male to the cooler sands of the beach, watching him while avoiding the sand flying from the hole he dug. Watching him mold the moist sand a smile spread over her face and she jumped down into the end of the hole and seat watching a little while longer. “ That’s really neat. ” Going to work on the side on the sand at her side. She shaped it and molded as he did, looking up to see what he was doing a doing a few times and copying him actions.

He grinned to her then studied his mountain with a serious expression. Scooping up more damp sand when he needed it and built on. Having done such things for awhile he could do it well, drawing the waves that crashed on the beach and the tree line with an extended claw. No where near perfect his creation still looked kittenish in some aspects.
Scooting around he looked at how she was doing. "You are doing good" he commented with a apraising tone. In ways it was better then his first time figuring this out on his own.
