Being a teenager means your going to have acne once in awhile. Your face plays a big importance to your look. I was wondering what products everyone here uses to keep their face''s clean and healthy.
While we''re at it, what kind of shampoos do you guys recommend to keep your hair moisurized? Any home remedies? I heard of putting eggs and mayo in your hair.... =X

I heard bananas were good for your hair, I'll post the ingredients for a banana shake thingie to put on your hair once I find it again. As for skin, I myself used to have problems so I went to a dermatologist and got 'scripts for Benza Clin for morning and Retin-a Micro for night but it's best to go to a doctor to find what's best for you. Oh and I use non-fragrance Dove sensitive bar soap to wash my face, morning and night only. It's the only soap I know of that doesn't leave my skin dry.
Before I wouldn't dare use bar soap on my face but Dove is the best and the best mostureizer for your face is non-fragrance Cetaphil. (only non-fragrance if your skin is as senstive is mine. ><) My doctor also told me to use a non-fragrance shampoo but I can't find any so I just use shampoo found in hair salons. It also helps your skin if you eat right and take vitamins (Which I don't but I should x: ).

drink 3 litres of water or non-sweetened juice half & halfed with water everyday. it really helps to clear up your face. if that still doesn't work, use a prescription acne cleanser. i use pro-active sometimes but usually, it can be helped if i drink enough liquids.

I use over-priced Noxema (is that how it's spelled?) products. They work, so I'm not complaining. The only thing I have to worry about now are my razor-burn scars...

I use this and greatly recommend it. I think it gets the job done. Then again I have oily skin, and it's hard to find stuff to keep my skin from being a grease factory. gonk I also use some persriptioned creme. Its like a higher dose of the benzol peroxide that you can buy. 3nodding

Peroxide- it's great for killing zits and it doesn't even really hurt (unless it's really infected in which case it just stings a bit.) You can also use it to bleach your hair blonde surprised
Toothpaste- go for the stuff w/ peroxide. It totally dries them up and takes out the redness (although they become red at first it should go away after 10 minutes)
Dove- dove is really good for keeping away zits
Pro Active- it sucks just keep your $80 and spend like $5 on Peroxide and you'll be zit free

I find that an apricot scrub and lemon juice helps make it paler, and always rinsing with cold water reduces the size of your pores...

I have a Cleansing wash I have to use once to twice a week depending on how badly you need it. I have such oily skin so I had a small break out right before school started and I''m still clearing it up.But if you have long hair keep it up at night if you had sesitive or oily skin. Also Stridex wipes work really well you have to scrub every day though and a forgetful person (like me) might have problems remebering to do it daily. Also stress causes minor break outs. But keeping hydrated like someone said before. If you do get a minor breakout try foundation or coverup. It helps it to be less noticeable. I use Sauve shampoo it makes my hair smell good. xd Tresemme works too, it does help with split ends and building up your hair.

I wash my face with soap and then I'll use those Oxy Pad things. I don't really have acne except for a breakout here and there.
For my hair, I'll use any shampoo, it works well for me, but sometimes I'll use this product that I got from the salon, I forgot what it's called but it's like a cream and you rub it between your hands and smooth it out on your hair. It makes it soft and smooth. :3

I have really oily skin. I use oxy pads to cleanse my face and other areas of my body 'cause it helps dry out my skin. I have long hair that I tie away from my face at night before going to bed. I drink several glasses of water a day. I rarely have breakouts and when I do it's usually just one that takes forever to go away. I wear an oil free foundation and layer 3 layers of baby powder over it to keep my skin pale and porcelain like. My boyfriend saw me with my skin like that for the first time yesterday (I had the time to go all out, which is something I don't have time to do for school) and it amazed him, how much I looked like my idols, like a real porcelain doll. And he kept calling me his precious porcelain doll all day. ^_^

I don't really suffer from pimples anymore, but I do tend to have a very red face (its another form of acne and it also leads to dry, flaky skin) and I have plenty of really bad scars from highschool when I had terrible acne problems, does anyone have any ideas for me aside from intelligent choice of foundation?

I hate my skin! Actually, its not that bad, apart from the fact Im in the middle of a breakout and some of the spots hurt sad I use Asda's own brand stuff, its pretty good, and I use a tea tree mosturiser from Botts, as well as a face scrub once a week or so, I dont know if it dsoes any good but it makes my skin feel nice and smooth for a while.

I'm going to be nineteen years old in December, and have never had acne. Once or twice I've had a pimple. but that's it.
However, I'm a vegetarian who doesn't eat junk food and fast food or wear makeup, so that's probably a part of it. I've been a vegetarian since I was 14, but even then, I never had any blemishes.
