With a little wince, Fiyali stumbled on ... heading backwards now - toward the last watering hole that she had left just hours before.
Thanks to the wind being in completely the wrong direction, the female wild dog had wandered into the territory of a rogue lion with a rather nasty temper - quite by accident. Had she been able to scent him before crossing the invisible line marking what was 'his', this never would have happened.
But as it was, she was currently limping along, claws having swiped across one haunch as a sort of warning (and a painful one, at that). Then when that injury had prevented her from moving away as fast as the lion had wanted her to, he'd gone after her again, slicing a few gashes just above her nose as well.
She knew the watering hole wasn't far, though ... just up ahead. She could only hope that she'd be able to rest there - and that nothing else happened to make this day worse.

Talbot Jabezed stayed as close as he could to the shores of the lake. He was not sure but he thought he saw a old pack member from his old pack, before finding out he took off. He now was extremely tired, he ran way to much for himself to handle.
He lapped up a lot of water but then sat back trying not to harm himself any father.
When he was growing up his parents and other family died leaving him with a nanny, all she wanted was his rank and mistreated him badly, so did all of the other females in his pack because he would not pick any of them to be his mate. But he ran away. He desperately wanted to trust females again but he was scared.... But little did he know that might change soon.
Talbot thinking it was safe and no one would be around, stretched out and closed his eyes slightly.

Lifting her head up again, Fiyali panted softly ... very very glad to see the lake up ahead, finally. She didn't even notice the male wild dog lying on the ground there ... at least not yet.
With a soft, pained whine, she limped toward the water - actually heading almost right toward the other without really seeing him.

Oh god... Talbot mind raced as he spoted another wild dog... a female. His body dropped to the ground and his ears folded back and his tail went between his legs. Then his body froze, he had nothing else to but close his eyes and await what ever this female had in store for him

Fiyali caught that movement out of the corner of her eye, though, and froze as well - more wary now ... after what had happened moments before.
But she relaxed when she saw that it was another wild dog ... and ... that he actually appeared to be frightened. "Sorry," she said quietly. "I didn't ... mean to scare you."
Then she limped on, toward the water ... leaning forward to lap up some of it, then half-collapsing on the ground. Gods, she hurt...

"No, No, No.. I-I'm sorr-Sorry for getting in you-r Your way." He bowed down to her and did not move. "Please-Please forgive me." He blinked for a moment still bowing to her. "D-Do you need help Ma'am." He asked just moving slightly closer to her looking at her head to toe.

Fiyali raised her head and blinked slightly at that ... a bit confused as to why he sounded so frightened of her. It wasn't as if she could do anything to him right now... after all.
"It's ... not your fault. Forgiven," she murmured, then blinked slowly at his question.
"Mm, you sure you're not too scared to come closer to me?" she asked in return, with a wry little smile. She wasn't sure what possessed her to ask that, instead of just saying that some help would be nice... but she had, and now she'd just have to see what the other might say to it.

Talbot was slightly shaking, this female was nice... never mind that smile just creeped him out and he winced as it reminded him of that evil female that once took care of him.
He was close to the ground and his tail between his legs as he moved over to her. "You nee- need to clean it." He said not even going to respond to her question. "And Do- Don't get D-dirt in it." His tail brushed against the ground as he talked.

Yes ... well. Fiyali more or less knew that already, but she could tell that he was trying to help, so she didn't say anything that might be considered rude.
Instead, she just nodded and attempted to twist around enough to get at the gashes on that haunch, wincing slightly as she did so.
"It's just hard to reach it," she murmured after a moment, glancing over ... wondering if he was going to come any closer. "I'm ... Fiyali'Kianga, by the way. Though most just call me Fiyali."

He deicded to lay down the only thing in his mind was. Don't shes waiting for that but he just tryed to shake it off but he fought it how was he supposed to get over this hole thing it he wants to run.
"Everyone calles me Talbot... Its nice to me-meet you." He nodded slightly not making eye contact.

"It's nice to meet you too, Talbot," Fiyali murmured softly, eyes lidding just a bit. Then she twisted again, trying to get at those claw marks to lick them a little more, but sighed.
This was just ... annoying and she hurt, and she was tired. She could tell that Talbot was still afraid of her, but she couldn't for the life of her put a paw on why. She was hurt already ... and didn't really think she looked like much of a threat.

Tablot lifted his head and nodded. His tail flopped around a bit wondering what to do still edgy.
"Do- You need any kind of help. I can hunt som- something down fo- for you. If you- you want." He nodded streching his paws foreward then looking down at them. He knew better than to make eye contact with any female, his 'godmother' taught him that.
But then again she also almost beat the life out of him.

Fiyali blinked slightly at that, raising her head just a bit to eye him. Well ... that was certainly better than nothing... and maybe if he got away from her for a bit, Talbot would calm down.
"If you would, that would be lovely," she said after a moment or two, and then laid her head back down on her paws wearily. She would probably ... just take a little nap while he was gone.

Talbot blinked and started walking. "O'kay I will." He nodded and started trotting off. A few things were in his mind.
As he crept around he could smell Gazelle in the air. He started walking toward them. Then he spotted them. But he looked back he could run right now, or he hunt for a female. Females were mean to him all his life, but she didn't seem that bad.
Then he started running...
Toward the prey. His heart race as he crept up behind a few, he'd seen so many lions hunt like this it was his way of hunting too, he did not have a pack it only made sense.
He jumped out and began heading toward a baby that was not far off from him. and brought it down. He was surprised at himself as he pulled it off taking it down almost right away.
It took him a while to kill it though. Being alone and trying to kill something was hard. Then he came back over the hill looking at her dragging the gazelle in his jaw.

By that point, Fiyali had dropped into a sort of exhausted doze, sides rising and falling rhythmically as she slept. It was a light sleep, though, and the scent of both the blood and the male coming back woke her up again.
With a little shiver, she raised her head slightly, and eyes immediately widened. "Wow," she blurted. "Did you catch that ...." Well, of course he'd caught it alone, but that was ... impressive.
