 Greetings. Welcome to the Music Club! I am President Roka Toshiro. It is a pleasure to see you here. I hope that your interest in music is genuine. Unless, of course, you confused this room with the Third Music Room - in which case I would direct you toward your destination and ask you kindly to leave. *smirks* Ah, what's that? That's not where you were headed? Well, then by all means please have a seat.
Our main goal and club activity is to create music, of course. Beautiful, melodious music that will inspire and enchant our audience. Not only do we, as club members create music, but we invite our customers to participate with us in our respectable hobby as well. Unlike those pompous Host Club members with little else to do than to sit around sipping tea... Ah - pardon me. My tongue seems to have...slipped. *smiles tightly*
At the esteemed Music Club, we hope to embrace Ouran's traditional concept of classical music as well as adapt to familiarize ourselves with the many other variations music types take. It is our aspiration that to better understand music as a whole and recognize it as an important part of any culture. Through the musical education of many varieties that we provide, we both entertain and teach students what music is all about. This includes how it is vital in our culture, lifestyle, and the world in general.
Our activities for music making range in diversity from instrument-playing to composing and recording CDs. Not only is the club about traditional classical music this year, but all other ranges of music as well. Thus modern technical and electrical equipment such as music-producing software, techno keyboards, and electric instruments will be accessible to paying customers as courtesy of club members' family businesses. For a minor service payment, we do provide lessons in instrument-playing, composing, and basic technology lessons for operating mp3s, our software, and our electrical equipment.
Customers may even make a profit from CDs they create themselves, provided the club is paid a pre-determined percentage of the sales. It is also very possible, considering to the club members' family trades, that as a paying customer you may be selected by music production to be the next big rock star, famous band group, club DJ, or celebrity singer.
Please feel free to join us in activities before or after school. There's usually someone available here during lunch as well, so please don't hesitate to check. Practice time is vital to our musicians. Also, instruments and technical equipment are available for use for a small fee. All proceeds go to the club's funds. Also, we will have special club events, both formal and informal, scheduled from time to time for anyone to attend. Times will be posted and tickets will be available for upcoming dance parties, both group and solo concerts, karaoke, music-related videogames, and auditions - just to name a few.
I can see you're eager to begin! Very well. The instruments and equipment you'll find will be in the back storage room...ah...and please do be careful with that. We do not tolerate abuse of the club's property. If you need assistance, you can always ask for help from our members. Kimura-san, our vice president, will be happy to assist you and answer questions. Other members of position are Takara-san and Arata-san, the treasurer and events manager. And I, of course, will usually be available.
