Battlefield...RANDOMIZER! >O
The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE SEASHORE FIELD!
Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze (the stadium ceiling is open when this field is selected) while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times).

Luna half ran half skipped to her position in her trainer box, a content smile on her face. "Ready for this ChuChu?" She asked her companion who was currently clinging onto her shoulder, taking a breath of the fresh salty sea air.
"Chuuuu!" The raichu replied, letting out a few light sparks from her cheeks to show her excitement, recieving a giggle from her trainer.
"Let's do our best then!" Luna shouted towards her opponent. "My name's Luna, and I'm going to be the future champion of Zatao~!" She declared, being supported by a "Chu!" from the petit electric mouse on her shoulder. "And this is ChuChu!" She added, clenching her fingers into a fist and holding her arm out directly infront of her, allowing ChuChu to run off it and get a good speed to land somewhere near the center of the field next to the palm tree.
Electricity started to cackle around ChuChu's cheeks, showing she was serious now and ready to bring down any opponent that she faced. She would win, definately!
((Roll a 6 sided dice to see who goes first. This isn't official, but it's kinda a tradition now in the stadium xD;;

Alexa walked to her position in her trainer box smiling nervously. It was her first battle with her new companion, Vincent. Vincent was already out of his pokeball enjoying the light breeze. He walked next to Alexa and looked up her after sensing her nervousness.
"Growl?" He softly growled. He received a comforting smile from his trainer. He looked to the Raichu and slowly made his way to the center of the field.
"Hello Luna!" Alexa shouted to her opponent, "I'm Alexa!" She didn't declare anything else because she wasn't sure what she wanted yet. "And that's Vincent." She said pointing to her Growlithe.
Vincent growled lightly at ChuChu to show that he would put up a fight and do his best to win.

Alexa looked at Vincent and smiled. "Alright let's get this started!" She shouted, "Use Bite Vincent!"
Vincent lunged towards ChuChu mouth open wide ready to bite. A growl escaped from the back of his throat as he got nearer.

Luna grinned as the battle started with Vincent's attack. "Alexa and Vincent, huh? Okay ChuChu, let's give them a piece of your tail!" Luna usually tried to meet headfirst attacks headon. Or tail-on in this case.
ChuChu jumped towards the incoming Vincent, twisting her body around to narrowly miss Vincent's fang biting into her body but the teeth did clamp down on her tail which she turned metal-hard with a quick last minute iron tail. But Vincent's bite pressure was still strong enough to dent her tail. ChuChu winced slightly at the pain. "Perfect! THUNDER!" She heard her trainer shout.
Taking a quick breath, ChuChu discharged electricity from her body through her tail and Vincent would end up as a pretty well done piece of steak if he didn't let go quick enough.

Alex grinned as Vincent's attack connected. "Way to go Vincent!" She shouted before hearing Luna call out to ChuChu, "Oh no. Let go Vincent!"
Vincent's teeth hurt after biting down on ChuChu's iron tail. He heard his trainer shout and leaped back before ChuChu could fry him. He just missed getting fried by the thunder attack. He took a couple steps back and growled.
"Good job! Ember!" Alex called out. Vincent then ran forward shooting decent sized flames of fire at ChuChu.

"Skull bash!" The trainer countered immediately, even going so far as to pose in the finger-pointing-forward "ONWARDS!" position. Yes, Luna was really enjoying this.
ChuChu landed on the ground right after Vincent let go and immedietly turned around, running headfirst towards Vincent, ignoring the flames. "Raaaaaai..." As some of the fireballs intercepted her path, she twitched her ears and quickly estimated the coolest area - the top left - and jumped through the flames, her momentum carrying her flying towards Vincent. "Chuuuuuuuuuu!"

Alexa giggled at Luna's position when she yelled out ChuChu's next attack. Luna seemed to be enjoying herself. She then turned back to the battle in time to see ChuChu running straight at Vincent. "Dodge it Vincent!" She knew it was a little too late and winced when ChuChu hit Vincent.
Vincent tried to move before ChuChu got to him but he was a little slow and took the attack on his hind leg. He fell down but he jumped back up and was cheered on by his trainer. "Take down Vincent!" He crouched down then charged forward. "Grooooowliiitheee!"

Luna grinned. "Here's a piece of advice for you-"
A similar grin was mirrored on ChuChu's face as her tail twitched around violently while watching the approaching Houndoom. When the houndoom closed in, she stuck out her tail onfront of her to match Vincent's paws. The small rat pokemon was, of course, pushed back a bit by the force of the attack, but she held her ground with a determined gaze. Then, she set off a spectacular display of electric fireworks, allowing plenty of excess electricity to leak out through all parts of her body, especially her tail.
"ChuChu is very dangerous up close~"

Alexa grinned. "Thanks for the advice but Vincent is quick on his feet."
As soon as Vincent had hit ChuChu he jumped back missing the leaking electricity. He circled around the Raichu while wagging his tail. He was starting to enjoy this.
"Okay Vincent.... Flamethrower!" Vincent stood up straight and opened his mouth. Flames erupted from his mouth and went flying towards ChuChu.

"If you say so~" Luna said with a happy smile. Why yes, she WAS plotting something. "Thunderwave!"
ChuChu looked ahead towards the incoming fire. She took a gulp, made a brave face, and started charging electricity towards the fire. The current circled around the fire and to Alexa. But, unfortunately for ChuChu, the fire wasn't affected at all by the attack and continued in it's path.
"Nyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!"
ChuChu ducked to the side at the last minute, managing to avoid a major burn and reducing the burn to just her tail. She quickly pulled her tail close to her and started licking it to comfort it, but stopped as soon as she realized HER TONGUE BURNED AS WELL.
"NYANYANYANYANYAAAAAAA!!!!"

Alexa's smile faded with what Luna said. She could that the other trainer was planning something but didn't know what until she yelled out the attack. "Oh no. Don't let it hit you Vincent!" She called out to her Growlithe.
Vincent cut off his flamethrower attack and leaped to the side. He slipped on some sand but quickly recovered. He then noticed that some of the electricity that ChuChu had used to tried and ward off his attack was heading straight for his trainer. "Growl!"
Alexa heard Vincent's cry and then saw the electricity. She quickly ran out of it's path but barely got out of the way in time. "That was a close one." She said wiping her forehead, "Fire Fang!"
Vincent ran for ChuChu, his mouth starting to glow red from the fire contained in it.

ChuChu looked up from her blistering tail and tongue at the incoming growlithe. Her eyes grew to a wide, comical saucer size. "Chuuuuuuuuuuuu...?" She pouted. Then, Vincent bit her but--
POOF!
The raichu disappeared. A substitute. A few moments later, the real one appeared from the sand, it's paws clutching onto the growlithe's paws. And then --- "CHUUUUUUUUUU!" ChuChu jumped out of the sand to headbutt Vincent in the stomache.
Luna smiled. Her plan went quite well. ChuChu was able to replace herself with a substitute during her thunder attack when it was too bright to look at her body, a perfect time to create a doppledagger and bury under the sand with a convenient dig attack. She just hoped her efforts would come into fruitation.
