Boma'burudi had been running from the Pride Lands what seemed like more than half of her current life. This time however she was not leaving with a child, pregnant, or even in the least bit related to having children. She realized that she had not truly lost her first born son until yesterday. Tetemeko had rejected her based on her actions and she did not apologize or even say she was wrong well. She moved as quickly as a living stone would, her bulky form looking awkward as it hustled.

The day before she had been well groomed but in her frustration her wings lacked their shine, her gems their glimmer, and her antlers looked brittle like an old buck's horns. Her anger leaked into the parts of the earth she controlled the gems below the surface worked their way up in discomfort causing tiny ripples in the sand her feet touched and then quickly dissipating as she moved.

Mtima was out for a leisurely walk, though her eyes were rather alert to anyone who might resemble the lioness she was looking for. It was not going to easily, she was starting to think that perhaps she should pick one spot and stake it out there. If Amadet herself did not wander by, someone who might have seen her elsewhere could. She was walking peacefully when an odd sensation struck her, something seemed to be wrong with the earth around her- and really that meant one of two things; another god was around or some severe weather or natural phenomenon was imminent.

A quick look around gave her the answer- running towards her was the familiar form of her dear friend Boma. Confused and concerned, she hesitated in stepping towards her rushing friend.

"Boma?"

She hesitated seeing the yellow form and slowed her pace coming to a stop beside her very dear friend, Mtima. The goddess of souls had to be one of the only creatures on the world Boma had undying respect, and yes love for she had helped Boma'burudi when she was down again and again. Hesitantly the goddess of minerals answered.

"Mtima, nice to see you," her voice did not sound like her own, it was hoarse and dry like when she crawled from the earth. She saw the questions forming in Mtima's brain, well what she could imagine would be questions. She was moving quickly, a lot quicker than she ever had before.

The earth made a tremble beneath her and she realized what she was doing, trying to pull her concentration to a focal point to sooth her domain. The minerals still spoke in fear and anxiety but they did not move much after she tried to settle them.

Taking a very big breath she looked at Mtima ready to spill her guts.

Mtima did her best to smile at her old friend, but it was hard when Boma looked so distraught. She didn't just look it, the way the earth trembled around her made it feel that way. The goddess practically radiated distress.

"Boma, you look awful," she said bluntly, not meaning it quite how it sounded. It was a relief to watch Boma calm herself down and to feel the earth beneath them follow after her.

"What's wrong?"

She gave Mtima a quirky smirk as if to say 'thanks for the compliment' and inhaled deeply again trying to catch her center and relax. "I always seem to find you when I'm at my worst points in life.:

"I met my son yesterday, Tete-Tetemeko," her throat caught in the middle of his name as she decided to spill her proverbial guts, "It was not a fantastic encounter, I..I was a fool for leaving him and a fool for leaving the other." She mentioned Hewa only because Mtima was someone she could not lie too.

Boma's two toned eyes searched the other goddess' face for a reaction wondering what she would think of Boma's confession as well as the fact that she had had another mortal litter she abandoned.

Mtima smiled sadly at Boma when she commented on how they always seem to run into each other when something has gone so wrong. She would have pointed out that the first time, when she'd been pregnant with her son, Boma had known where to find her. When Boma told her about Amadet, that wasn't such a horrible meeting.. or Mtima did not imagine. She was more than happy to be there for her friend, but it was awfully sad that so often their meetings were following something unhappy.

She listened carefully as Boma described what happened, though she only did so very vaguely. Mtima could only hope it was not as bad as she imagined, and she opened her mouth to try to defend Boma's decision to leave him, but was cut off byt he mention of "the other."

"What?" she blinked, never imagining Boma would have allowed herself into the same situation again, "What other?"
