Well, I was thinking we could get a thread going on peoples general progress down their 'path', for a lack of better phrasing. I don't know about other people but I find I've been hitting 'plateaus' in some areas, and my being a lazy bastard causes me to neglect pursuing alternative trivial interests usually.
People only seem to sparodically make threads that involve asking for help on a topic when they seem to think they're out of resources, or offering help on a topic when they're having a pretty slow period in their lives. And hey, with the do stuff weeks basically immanent, this may be something else people can do to broaden their activities or horizon or something like that.
So, whats your progress and such? What are you studying now, or looking for more resources on? What interests do you have that seem to take a back seat to your main interests? What subjects do you plan to cover in future (as in, going to learn about that next)? Anything you're curious about details on but somehow procrastinate enough to neglect? Et cetera....
I'm totally for it if someone can highjack this thread to be productive or have more interesting topics/questions and such. I'm just intending to try to get more conversation going and maybe get some people to connect more and have things to talk about. If this is too inane a thread, I'm alright with it being (re)moved, deleted, or changed.

I clearly got nothing much going for me.. No project in mind to try.. I could try destroying walls of reality or maybe try to decompose a soul but I have no right to actually do these things nor do I want to but while writing this post, those were the 2 first thought that came to my head..
So.. Don't count on me to make much of a discution..

*chuckles* It could simply be that people have become too busy to give updates. I've had next to no time to work on anything...

Wow, and I thought my talking to myself was bad. xd
This is THE toughest semester out of all eight semesters I've had in college, so my life right now is sprinting through each week. I had to quit my job, the workload was so heavy, on top of the general anxiety of not knowing what I'm going to do come May.
That being said, I just opened up a shop offering divinations. If anyone here wants a reading, just stop by the thread in my signature, fill out the order form, and stick the letters "DSW" somewhere in the order randomly. I'll get ya one done free.
So, as you can tell, my current interest is divination. Actually, it's more Lithomancy and the system I'm developing from the ground up--so far so good!

I'm almost halfway through my alchemy training. I feel like I've advanced a great deal as a person over the past year because of it. My current interests deal with the nature of reality and how much it can be altered via observation/focus.
I also have an interest in finding out why I feel these things on my back, even if it is just some psychosomatic thing. It's weird and uncalled for. razz
I'd very much like to have a breakthrough with my energy levels and my out of body attempts. I have an idea that increasing my focus might be able to help me. I think I'm too scatterbrained for a lot of things at times.

At the moment, I've not really got anything going on, myself. I've been toying with the idea of learning some basics of ceremonial magic, and I've been slowly developing my relationships with my Beloveds (a concept from Kemetic Orthodoxy, ask if you're curious), but other than that... I've got nothin. My life is a little busy right now, I'm working a lot and trying to plan slash get over my fears of having a baby, not to mention trying to lose weight (which is hard and depressing the s**t out of me). So.. yeah.

I need to get into regular practise, so I'm going to start from the beginning and work on meditation, concentration, pranayama, creating sacred space, banishing and all that good stuff. Alongside that I'm going to dabble here and there. A year from now I'd like to have covered more on incense in ritual, ritual itself, some Voodoo, something related to Saint Mungo and urban/city magick and a little more spirit guide working.

Mitsh Hey, I'd like to hear a little more about this Beloveds thing (as well as anything else about your path you're willing to share). It sounds interesting. =o Well.... One of the principles of Kemetic Orthodoxy is that your Ka and Ba, two parts of your soul (there are 5 parts), are created by specific deities. The creator of your Ka becomes your Parent (Mother, Father, or Parents), and the creator/s of your Ba becomes your Beloved(s). After taking an extensive beginner's class in the Kemetic Orthodox Church, I was given the option of receiving a ritual created by the Nisut (our Pharoah) for the purposes of divining these influences. It's called, funnily enough, the Ritual of Parent Divination, or RPD for short. I was divined to have Bast as my Mother (not a huge surprise there), and Amun, Wepwawet-Yinepu, and Set as my Beloveds. Set wasn't a big surprise either, He had been visiting me on and off during my beginner's class, but Amun and Wepwawet-Yinepu were definitely big surprises. I don't really know anything at all about either of them, and Amun's proven very difficult to get to know. I suppose I shouldn't be altogether surprised about that, given that He is the Unknown Mover/Creator. Wepwawet-Yinepu is a derivative of Yinepu (Gr. Anubis) that focuses more on the aggressive and militaristic aspects of Yinepu's job as the Opener of Ways. He's proved to be slightly easier to hear and understand, but He's still pretty distant.
