Zuri had run as far as she could, barely making it back to the cave where her daughters and sister were living. The hyena that her sister had taken in was in a cave nearby, which made things much easier on the orange lioness.
She slipped in, the darkness coating her colour into a deep mud brown colour. She quickly found her sister, Barafu, as she was always the one that was closest to the entrance of the cave.
"Bara! Bara, I have something important to talk about," she whispered, though the whispering was harsh. She nearly pulled her sister out of the cave, eager and anxious to tell her what the old lion had told her. She wanted her sister to know immediately, just in case she had noticed anything odd with Zuri's daughters. It made her sick just thinking about the things they could see.
"Please Bara!"

Bara was startled out of sleep by a sudden shaking. Living with her sister long enough, though, made her not take a more aggressive approach at the unwanted visitor. "Zuri? Please, stop, I need sleep."
But the pulling that the other lioness tried to do was nearly painful, and Bara knew that if she didn't hear out her younger sister right now, she would never get any sleep tonight.
With a light groan, she pulled herself up, following after her sister with a stumble.
"Ugh, really Zuri, it's so late, even the moon is barely out tonight. Why are you back already? You don't seem hurt? So why can't we sleep? It's been a long day..."

"Shhh!" She hushed her sister, checking back in the cave to make sure that none of her daughters had woken up and were going to try and listen in to what she had to tell Barafu. Good, it was still quiet over there.
"You'll never guess what I found out today!" she smiled expectantly at her sister, hoping that she would feed off of the excitement that the lioness still had. Though she had run all that way, seeing Barafu made her energy pop back up, and she felt like anything but sleepy at this point of the day.
"C'mon, guess, guess!" She knew she was aggrivating her sister, but she had to keep her awake enough to tell her what she needed to know right now! Besides, it really couldn't wait if the secrets about their home pride were to be found out through something such as the sight. Then everything could be misinterpreted and they wouldn't get anywhere trying to explain it all out later.

The icy blue lioness snapped at her sister.
"Zuri! Stop it! Just tell me or I swear to our mother's paw that I'm going to smack you and leave you out here, knocked out cold it a stupor. Just tell me!"
She knew that her sister was always full of secrets. She always had been when they were cubs, even though Bara was the older sister. She could never guess what her sister was hiding, and she never knew that it was because she did her best to hide it all from everyone in the world, even her.
"Pleeease, hurry up, it's cold out here and my spot in the cave is getting cold too." She shivered. "You so owe me a gazelle for this too, y'know."

Zuri laughed at her sister. "Fine, fine! I'll give you anything you want if you just take the time to hear me out." She nuzzled her sister quickly before beginning.
"So, while I was out, I found a real lion who had the sight!" There was a spoiler right there, though Zuri didn't realize it, she was speaking too quickly to take notice. "He was old, sure, but he wasn't crazy. He knew a lot of things, even the colour of the girls' father! And I never told anyone, you know that!"
She could see her sister nodding, still irritated.
"Okay, I'll get to the point. He said that he could see into the past, and that the male I had laid with was actually a god! A real, breathing god! Now, I didn't totally believe him, and there's still a piece of me that does, but he said that all children of god gain the sight!"

Bara's ears slightly listened to what her sister had to say. Oh? So she found someone who had the sight, and she said that her sister had gotten it on with a god. FINE. Whatever. She honestly didn't care at this point.
"Really, Zuri, is that all? Couldn't of this waited until the morning? I'm tired, your daughters are tired, Fupa is probably dead with exhaustion, her daughter nearly got trampled today...and you should be tired as well! I can't believe that you're still full of energy! I mean, really! Zuri, let's go to bed. We can curl up together to keep one another warm, and let's figure out the rest of this stuff out in the morning over dinner."
Well, they could also talk about it while getting dinner, but that could get messy as well. Plus they needed a good meal, they hadn't been able to take down anything big recently. Mmmn....food...Bara's mind started wandering again. Probably because she was so tired.

Ugh! Seriously, when her sister was tired, she was jsut plain stupid. Zuri's mind worked in a different way, and the more tired she was, the sharper her mind actually grew.
"NO! Silly Bara, didn't you hear me? If they really are the children of a god that I just happened to sleep with, then they get the sight. The sight! The one that can see into the future! But it can just as easily see into the past..."
She knew that her sister wasn't stupid enough to not understand that. If they saw everything that related to the pride, the conflicts, the death, they could easily be traumatized by it. And if they saw some of the wrong parts, liek Zuri being sent out to kill her own sister, they could take it the wrong way, and abandon them. Who knows what would happen to them in that big world out there.

It was like the sun had decided to emerge in the dead of night. Her mind just clicked to it in an instant.
Her eyes widened in a heartbeat's time. "ZURI!" She nearly lept out of her skin when she thought about it. She wanted to pounce on her sister, to hopefully make those words go back into the mouth that they had escaped from, but it was too late. "Are you sure? The past? Oh, Zuri, what are we going to do? We're doomed if they find out about everything!"
The blue lioness started shaking, though it was no longer because of the cold. "Oh Zuri, what are we to do? I do not want to remember those times, even though we still hide from them, living like this. I don't want to remember those memories, but if they find out any other way, we will be in deep trouble."
She wobbled, quickly leaning on her sister to keep her on her paws. Fear overcame her, still mixed in with faituge.

Zuri cooed at her sister. "It is alright. I have thought about it during the time it took for me to reach you here. We must tell them. It's the risk we take."
She stood where she was, grooming the side of the blue lioness' face to calm her. "I know that you memories are more terrifying then mine. But if they do have the sight, we can't take the risk of them finding out any other way."
Again, she took the time to check the cave. There was no noise, no stirring. So they hadn't waken up, even from Bara's outburst. That was a good chance of luck. The sisters would have to talk it out before telling them just what was wrong.
"But alas, I really should let you sleep, my dear sister." She judged her again, hoping that she didn't make her cry.

Bara knew what they had to do, sure, but she certainly didn't want to deal with it. She still just wanted to hide from everything that she ever knew about that wretched place.
"Alright," she replied, giving in to the fatigue that wrapped her up into a creature that could barely stand. She stumbled as she made her way back to the cave, feeling her sister straight behind her.
It was strange sometimes, to feel that your younger sister was taking care of you. Strange enough, another thought flew through her mind. Her sister was actually showing true concern about her daughters, and wanting to make sure that they would be safe. That all of them would be safe, no matter what the future held.
So finally, she was learning from her mistakes, and wanting to change them. That was something for the better that she could admire. Huh.

Zuri followed her sister into the cave, letting herself fall down to the ground first before her sister. She felt bad that she had pushed her so much to come out, but she still felt that it was something important, and they both needed to sleep on it before deciding anything. Though...maybe she was too tired to really make any decisions today, the orange lioness thought.
She looked up at her sister expectantly, waiting for her to crash down on the floor as well. She could see her swaying a bit. Zuri's gold eyes scanned ot see the bodies of her daughters still asleep. Well, good, at least the two of them weren't too loud to keep them awake for anything.
"C'mon, Bara, let's sleep on it," she whipsered, feeling the body of her sister finally hit the floor.

Bara felt her sister curl around her body, keeping her warm. It did stop the shaking, at least, and comforting at the same time. The blue lioness let her head hit the floor, fatigue making her body feel like it was five times the weight that it actually was.
"It's alright," she whispered back. "I'll try, but I can't promise." She knew that she would sleep, because she was so tired, but she just didn't know how well she would sleep, if it would be deeply or lightly. Only the morning would tell her.
"Thank you for telling me, though," she whispered, letting her eye lids finally droop down to close on her dry eyes.

Zuri tightened around her sisters body. It was a strange feeling, but one that she welcomed. It was normally the other way around, so to be one that comforted instead of receiving it felt...rewarding.
"I'm sorry," she said, in a backwards order from Mana's acceptance to her error. "I'll keep you warm tonight, you just make sure that you can sleep."
The orange lioness rested her head on her sister's back, nuzzling it as she set herself to get ready for sleep. Though she had been the one to bring the 'bad news', she actually felt that she would sleep fine. Though there was a conflict that neared, they would work it out, the two of them, and everything would be fine, in Zuri's eyes. How could it not?
And with that, she soon fell asleep.

It took a little bit longer for Bara to fall asleep. Her mind swirled around the possibilities that Zuri has presented her. Would they really find out? Was their father really a god? Did Zuri really meet a lion with the sight? And would any of her nieces ever develop that sight, anyways?
It was impossible for anyone to answer her questions. She still had plenty of them, but they would never escape her mind. Opposite to her sister, she had patience, and patience was what she was going to do. She would wait and see what her sister did. If she really wanted to tell them, then they would do that. If she wanted to wait, then they would do that as well.
A deep sigh escaped her. She could worry about them tomorrow. For now, she would slumber. She needed it.
