 Boko boko had not much left in her to live anymore. Her tiny frame was bony and weak... she padded along with dull eyes. HEr only though was to find her Mommy and Daddy... who she couldn't remember much about really... She remembered that they were named as such... but she couldn't remember their faces... or their voices.
All she knew was that they were gone and she wanted them to be with her again. She hated being alone... and she had been alone for so long... and her belly had stopped making it's rumbly noises and just had a dull ache now.
She padded along the waters edge.. stopping occasionally to eat the small tid-bit of something or other that she found... her staple for food. She had been weaned too early. She was naturally smaller than cubs should be. She was small and dirty and so covered in dirt that she couldn't see her spots anymore... she was just one whole dirt cub of brown.

Nix'Annada stretched her forearms and shook her head, white fur falling in the view of her eyes, peering around she saw her sister had gone off. Something had happened, that had made Rage so sad, so depressed and afraid to seek out Ru, Nix knew Rage and Ru had some type of connection, but something had happened, and might put out the flame. Flicking her tail Nix began to saunter about, though something pale caught the attention of her blue hues.
Something small and...alone.
Smiling she folded her wings on her back, and headed towards the small thing, upon closer inspection, it was a small cub, female...by scent it seemed, but alone, and so frail looking! Nix ran up to her, not hiding her appearance and curled arund the little thing, "what're you doing alone little precious?"

Nana stopped to smell at something on the ground that tempted to be eatten. Her tastes for food really had changed a bit-now anything that she could chew with her milk teeth and swallow-she ate. She flipped what ever it was over with her paw, shook her head and continued on. She sighed.
She really didn't like being alone... it was starting to bother her alot. She had stopped sleeping like she used too... just padding on without much of a thought other than she needed to find her Mommy and Daddy.
Her little blue eyes popped open suddenly when a large white form surrounded her. She stared up at the stranger, her eyes dull but still shown with child like curiosity.
"Looking for my Mommy and Daddy... She said, nodding her head slowly "They went away... but I'm going to find them She said. It had been apparent that she had been looking for a while... and obviously hadn't found them

Nix'Annada peered around with blue hues, and her white fur fell into her view, and she couldn't spot any other adults around, and, while her time here, had not seen any lions or lionesses that resembled her coloring. Draping a wing over the tiny cub, Nix purred and nuzzled her head atop the childs and smiled, whispered softly, tone kind, "Do you want to stay here with me until they come back?"
Came back, from where...
What had happened to her parents?
Nix was enthused that the child was not upset at her appearance, which was good, "My name's Nix, whats yours little one hm?"

Nana gazed up at the winged stranger. She looked around too when the adult did, her blue eyes blinking. She then gazed up at Nix with an open mouth-a bit confused to what she was looking at. Ah, to be young again. She smiled and giggled at the touch-something that she was not used too anymore... she hadn't had good touch in-so long. Only bad touch.
She gazed up at the wing that covered her. This lady had 'flappy flaps'. She stared up at them-her little tongue visible from inside her mouth. I don't think they are coming back-not anymore. Mommy said to wait... but i've waited for sooo long... and... I don't think my Mommy is coming back... they -sniff- they -sniff- went swimming and never came back... She said, gazing up at Nix sadly. She kept sniffling her nose, no doubt a cold... she had been cold for so long.
Truth was, there was not swimming... only drowning. The last thing she had seen was the bodies of her parents floating or 'swimming' away.
I'm Bokoboko... But m-my mommy calls me Nana... cause I -sniff- look like one.

"Nana it is then sweet one," she gave a purr, nuzzled the top of her brow and gave a sincere smile to the child, "You're welcome to come stay with me and my sister Nana, what do you say hmm? That way, if they do come looking for you, you'll be in one spot so that they may catch up to you," Nix was trying to look on the brighter side of things.
"What do you say little one hmm?"

Nana stared up at the winged female that she would soon see as mother. The image of her dead mother would soon fade into black-and the beauty of Nix would replace her. Her teal eyes blinked and a smile spread across her tiny, dirty face. She reached up a paw to pat at Nix's face but was too small.
It would be a new thing-having a Mommy who had wingies like a birdie did. Mmm-kay. She said sweetly, dancing around Nix's legs. I'd have an aunty then... does she have wingies to?

"Yes little dear, an aunt with wings just as I, and soon...well...other surprises will await you, Nana darling, you'll see," she said with a sweet smile, purring and licking atop Boko's brow. "Follow me, and I'll show you to your home, okay?" Nix said taking a few steps, walking slow so that the cub could keep up.
Cub, like a daughter...
So familiar.
Nix honestly was not sure how her sister would handle this, however, she figured that Rage would sympathize, for the goddess of Rage knew the pain f a lost family all too well.

Nana nodded her head and began to follow Nix, a tiny little hum escaping her maw. Her teal eyes gazed up occasionally at her new mother-blinking in her doration of her new family member-and of hope. The god of Famine, whom she met not long ago-told her to keep going until she found what she was looking for-a family. Now... she had a mommy and an Aunty.... and
"Surpises... I like surprises... I can't wait to see Aunty..." She said with a charming smile. Padding behind her mothers paws, she smiled up at her new adoptive mother and rubbing against Nix's back leg...
"I can't wait Mommy" She said, a tiny little pur along with it.

Nix'Annada gave her a smiled and giggled, "Excited huh? Your aunty might be sleeping when we get there, so if thats whats going on, we'll have to be quiet until she wakes up, okay?" she said with a purr leaning down to lick atop Nana's head gently, lovingly. A bounce in her step she walked on further, Nix could see the outline of the den a little way up, but not too extremely far.
Perhaps it would do both her and Nana well to take a nap before other explorations, Nix, afterall, was unsure of how far the child could go without getting too tired.
"Sound good?"

Bokoboko bounced up and down, gazing up at the winged female-adoration and excitement in her eyes. Even with her deathly thin body-she could still express her happiness to Nix-the best she could. She gazed ahead-her tiny eyes fixating on the den ahead-their new home... Her new home. She could barely control herself-but since Nix said her new Aunt may be asleep-she'd be quiet.
"Yush." She said quietly, padding along behind Nix with a grin.

Nix smiled down at the little love at her side. She sighed contently, happily, here was where she and rage really would start a new life, have a new family, a new home. Nix tred softly as they approached the den site, and peered inside, and stopped, stepped back and turned to Nana, blue eyes full of excitement, blue eyes shining in the sun. Flicking her tail she wondered what her sister's reaction to little Nana love would be, though Nix knew, she and her sister could do, and handle anything together.
"Lets go meet your aunt, but shh," Nix stepped inside quietly, smiling.
yes, this was a new beginning for them all.
