Koi couldn't help but feel something that was goodnews. She felt stirrings in her stomach not too long ago and noted how much rounder and hungrier she was now. She had stayed by herself for a while... requesting Liza to stay on the male side of the pride... until she realized that it was true... she wasn't sterile... she could have cubs.
It had been the male all along. All this worrying and fear had actually been for nothing. So now... she was ready to tell Liza the good news... after-all he should be the first to find out.
She had summoned for him through one of the closer males... laying down where she usually kept residence... waiting to see the yellow male

Without a moments hesitation at being told that Koi wished to see him the big custard yellow male made his way over to the female side ofg the pride, heading for the tribe to which Koi belonged. He knew exactly where she was, it was like a little map sprang up in his head.
He gave a little bow to any female he passed before padding onwards, this of course caused a little bit of delay but he didn't wish to seem dissrespectful to anyone even if he was going to his mistresses side.
Padding towards Koi's den with his head lowered and his deep orange eyes fixed upon the multi coloured female he slowly lowered himself in a deep bow, his belly going to the floor and his nose virtually in the dust. A summoning for Liza meant he must be extra respectful to his Lady mistress, after all she had called upon him personally.
"I'm sssorry for the delay, mmmistress." He paused and swallowed audably. "I did not wish for any llioness to think I was ddisrespectful to thththem by nnot showing them some respe..respect in passing." he hoped this was an okay excuse, though Koi had never struck him, he had never been summoned to her side either.

Koi sighed and stretched on her side, her rounder belly showing more intently. She couldn't deny it anymore- there was life. Liza had done it. She smiled to herself, rolling over onto her back to wrap her paws around her front half. She felt the warm earth under her back, the breeze blowing past her hind paws.
Liza's presence made her eyelids lift.
Liza.... I am glad you've come.
Do I look rounder to you?

The large yellow male watched ehr quietly as she rolled tilting his head quietly to observe her actions. She didn't seem to be about to punish him so he relaxed a touch his tail wagging happily.
Then the question came. And an easier question to answer there wasn't. Liza was used to telling the truth though sometimes it got him in trouble. "Yyes ma'am you look r..r..rounder in your m..m..mumiddle, ma'am." He replied grinning foolishly, thinking he must have answered correctly to be asked such a base question.

Koi gazed up at him and smiled. She then sat up slowly, her rather roundish belly making it difficult. She sat, with her front legs a bit spread out for balance. She smiled at liza and motioned for him to come closer. I think It worked Liza... I can feel little kicks now and again... I don't know how many... but they are in there.
It worked... I can't believe it really worked Liza... You must be good luck... my lucky Liza She said, shutting her purple eyes and putting a paw on her belly. She couldn't believe it. She was going to be a mother. Her and Gurami both. She reached over and took Liza's paw, placing it on her stomach.
See... can you feel them?

Liza inched forwards as he was encouraged his ears perked beneath his dark mane as he listened to his mistresses words. "It ww.worked?" he was confused for a moment though she quickly straightened his confusion out his deep auburn eyes shimmering.
"Llucky.." He grinned in a silly manner as she lifted his paw and he felt her rounded belly. He felt rather bashful touching Koi again but she was encouraging him to feel what grew inside her womb. "W..w..we're haveing bu..bu..babies?" He tilted his head his dark tipped toes resting duetifully upon her belly.

Koi smiled warmly at his words. She nodded slowly, looking down at her stomach. Inside there, she held the blood of the pride. Honor.... she felt so much honor as a mother-she could barely take it. She felt warmth rush to her face when he said the word... babies. Yes... mine and yours.
Our cubs. I hope there is a female in there-so you can name her after your mother She said, putting a paw on top of his-just in time to feel a tiny kick against her belly. She laughed, a bit fascinated at the feeling. So now... both her and her sister would have cubs around the same time.

Liza smiled his head tilted forwards as he looked at his paw his silver streaked mane falling over his eyes. He gave a little laugh "m..m..my babies?" he beamed, he had given Koi what she wanted and he was glad he could help, even if he did not understand the mechanics of it.
"After my mother?" He looked at the soft orange female quietly his auburn eyes fixing on the large female seriously. "Sh..Sh..she would be plpleased to have her nname brought back to the pr..pr..pride." he gave a solemn nod jumping out of the mood though as the tiny cubs licked at Kois stomach and in turn his paw.
"I w..w..will look after them Ma'am they will be r..r..raised right." he whispered his voice full of seriousness. he knew his place and he feld any cubs that belonged to him should know theirs.

Koi laughed and nodded her head. Poor Liza was a bit slow sometimes but... she guessed it was in his whole life being summoned around like he was. It was a shame... but not that much of one. He was still a rather well put together lion. He was in fact... a perfect lion for this pride and Koi felt that he would help raise some perfect family members for it.
Good. You will choose which one to name after her. She said, tapping him on the forehead with her paw... lightly of course.
Koi for one would never dream of having to punish him for anything. Yes. I think I may bring it up with the queen that I wish to have you as my mate as well... so that you will not have to be in the male lands raising them... at least not until they are adolesances...

Liza grinned and nodded "Y..y..yes ma'am I'll dddo what ever you say ma'am." He stuttered though his eyes went quickly back to his paw and the squirming babies within. "B..b..bbe good to your mmother lululittle ones. I'l bbe here when you c..c..come out." he grinned and looked back up at Koi removing his paw slowly and wagging his tail.
"I..iI wwill mmake you proud Koi..II'll mmake sure they are r..r.raised the way they are su..su..suppsoed to be ma'am. MMy mother wouldn't hhave it any ot..ot..other way." He gave an affirmative nod though a slight flush rolled over his cheeks as she told him he would pick the cub to name after his mother.
"IIf you wwish it ma'am I w..w..will pick I jjust hhope I mumake the rright decisions ma'am." He stuttered looking at his paws nervously, he didn't want to upset koi by picking the wrong cub but she wished himto do it so he would.

Koi smiled and gazed down at her stomach as he spoke to them and she almsot felt as though they calmed down. She was glad he was so positive about everything and she looked foreward to having the cubs with Liza by her side.
She laughed and patted him again. I know you will Liza. You will help make the blood of our children flow strong with the prides ways... They will keep the pride growing and when we are gone-they will continue to spread the blood of our goddess and queens She said, settling back down onto her side, her round belly against the ground comfortably. She patted the ground beside her, for liza to lay

Liza grinned, he felt proud to be a part of something so important to not only Koi, but to the pride as well. Lowering himself to the ground, he let out an appreciative growl at the petting upon his dark mane before crawling up beside Koi and laying his head over her haunches.
He wasn't sure if he was allowed to do this but he wanted to watch her stomach, he could hardly fathom that little 'hims' were in there. So with his nose turned up towards Koi's head and his muzzle nearly pressed against her belly he watched quietly, ready to rest and gaze at the buldge that would become tiny Lizas.

Koi watched Liza and that moment, she decided that this was the best thing that ever happened to her. She smiled warmly and ran a paw over his mane. He was so sweet. He was the perfect male and the perfect father so far... and there wasn't even cubs yet. She gazed at Liza and her rounded belly and smiled warmly.
"I am really glad Liza... that we found each other. I am glad that you have a home... and that I have a mate. And that we will have children together. I would never have dreamed this... I am so thankful to the goddess that she brought us together... and that she has blessed us.
She pulled liza up closer to her and shut her eyes, feeling his body next to hers... feeling his heartbeat. This was what life was meant to be like...
