“ GAH!
Okey, there's this most beautiful song i've ever heard. this song is called River Flow in You by Yiruma <33 I absolutely love this song, i only listen to this song if im sad, mad, or you know...just doesnt feel happy..
and i really dont know how to play the piano..like know the notes of it (a,b,c,d,e,f,g) just the do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do.
so obviously i went to youtube and try to find some videos of people showing us how to play the song...this video i found was probably the best video of how to play..
http://youtube.com/watch?v=fTvcPLuMPa0
and im getting really frustrated! D:<
Discuss: - Do you know how to play the piano - Do you love Yiruma?? <33 - Is there any easier to learn this song?
p.s i might go to the store to buy a handbook on how to play the piano. :3 so that i can read the music sheet of the song which i dont have. ” H e l l o – D a n i i e

I can play some songs on the piano. But I can't read the music. D:
I'm getting one soon, though. And I'll learn how to read the sheets. But right now, I do not know. D: Sorry.

Do you know notes on the staff? If so, I could try and help. I do know the notes on a keyboard. Also, are you good at playing by ear?
If there's anyway I can help, let me know. I'm a musician of a sort. I have considered for a long time a music major, but I think in the end I will go science since there are more job opportunities within science. I play flute/piccolo and sing, and know the basics of piano. I can also play by ear to a certain extent. I'm getting better at it, even though I'm not the best. I can try and listen and figure it out.

Did you know the Beatles learned how to play the piano by sound or ear? They weren't professionally taught. You can do it...try to find the notes when you hit the keys... When I had a piano...I wanted to learn how to play Yakie Doddle (sp?)....so I kinda sang it out loud and try to find the right note that sound like it.... and it worked. lol

Yay! I'm glad I can help! Its kind of late tonight to do anything, but tomorrow I'll try to find some manuscript online to add some notes to, or if worst comes to worst, I have manuscript paper at my house, and I'll give it to my friend on Monday to scan (since I don't have a scanner). I'll also find either find a picture of a piano, or take a picture of mine to help out. But if you remember this for now for lines/spaces on staffs:
Treble cleff: -Spaces: FACE -Lines: EGBDF
Base cleff: -Spaces: ACEG -Lines: GBDFA
Key signatures consist of flats and sharps, which raise or lower a note a half step, and those will be your black keys. The notes that don't have flats or sharps (ABCDEFG) will be your white keys.
That's all I'm going to say tonight, or else with my lack of sleep mind my information might get mixed up (especially when we get to bass cleff since I'm a flute player, I mostly play treble cleff).
OMG! Ok, this is after I wrote everything, but I found this site while seeing if I could find a staff with notes real quick:
http://www.free-online-piano-lessons.com/piano-notes.html
Give it a try, I'll still help out in my own way, but this will probably explain things better than myself when I'm falling asleep. I'll see what I can do tomorrow, so I hope this helps for now! Good luck!

He always looked so happy when he was drumming. ^-^

I used to know how to play the piano, when I was real little. I don't remember much of it now ^^;
I still own some of the books that they used to teach me with... But it's alot easier if you hire a teacher or something o_O
Another pretty song I think you should listen to is called River Side by Joe Hisaishi x3 It's mainly violin, though. <3

Yeah, I'm looking on this site, and I'm liking their diagrams and explanations.
http://www.free-online-piano-lessons.com/piano-scales.html
That has a diagram of a piano that might help.
http://www.free-online-piano-lessons.com/piano-notes.html
And compare it with the picture of the staffs on here with where each note is. This should help.
http://library.thinkquest.org/15413/theory/theory.htm
Here's another site that looks like it could help. Especially the note reading part of it. If there is anything at all that is troublesome, I'll get out my manuscript paper and make my own notes on it if that helps any!
