 A tale:
there is this man who lives in a castle, has has a beautiful wife and lots of guards. one day he have to go to a business trip. so he lock his wife in the castle and tells the guards "I will KILL the one who lets her out". the Man have suspected that his wife has an affair, with an other man.
anyway He leaves the castle.
the wife bribes one of the guards to let her out so she can be with the one she loves. with a HUUGE sum of gold and "the thought of helping this woman" he lets her out.
she unites with her lover and he convinces her that they should run away from all of this and will be together for all eternity (yada yada you know the tale) she is all happy. the lover says that they should meet tonight. the wife leaves for the castle.
its night and the wife leaves the castle again. she waits for her lover.... but the lover doesn't show up. he had some second thoughts and decided to bail on her, leave her so he could Live happily ever after.
the wife runs to her BEST FRIEND and she welcomes her and hides her. but not really, the friend had a crush on the womans husband. and decided to tell the husband everything (the wife told her everything)
the husband comes to kill the guard who let her out, but the guard is so much better and kills the husband.
end of tale.
Now here is the questions: 1. Rank the characters; the one who did most bad/horrible things is first and so on. characters; Husband, Wife, Guard, Lover and the Friend. a) explain your ranking
2. how could they have prevented this? 3. what would you do if you where the Wife?

Let's see...
1.) I would have to say ... Husband, Lover, Friend, Guard, and Wife. 2.) Uhh, if the woman would of just stayed put? D:< 3.) Not sure. It would depend.

2. Well, first off, the wife should have told her husband, no matter what the consequences. Then this would have been prevented; since the lover left her when she risked herself, it doesn't matter, because he could have told her she wasn't the one as well and let her down easy, no matter if he was scared to.
3. I would have told my husband I loved another man, and hopefully I could work out my feelings and figure out everything with him, or, if he clearly threatened to kill me beforehand, just run.

Well, who did the most horrible deed all depends on one's opinion, right? (Correct me if I'm wrong.)
It's hard to say, because they all played their part. Without one, the other couldn't have succeeded, so you could say they were all equally bad. *shrugs*

yes the wife should have, but lets say that she really know what the husband would do. (that kill her and everyone that comes in his way) the husband is a real control freak, and paranoid, but maybe he is that way because of the wife who actually have an affair. or maybe he was born that way....
>.> I kinda have the same list as you.
Friend - DEEEEEEP betrayal, lets get her burned on stake D: Wife - for being stupid, and selfish Husband - for being such a damn moody jerk and paranoid. Lover - for being such a coward. Guard - to betray the one who pays him. its his damn job to follow orders.
and as Truth said, they all play their role. but what if the Wife would have stayed in the castle knitting? nothing would have happened.

Nothing would have happened? Are you mad? gonk She would probably decay from the inside and the husband would get angry at her for it. I believe in severe change when it's needed; someone needed to do something.
And yes, her friend needs to be killed with fire. 3nodding

Poisoned the husband? But that would have her make enemies. gonk And besides, no matter how terrible a ruler he might have been, he would have to go more efficently; with a new ruler or order in place before he was offed.

I suppose, but, the thing is, the king would have some sort of 'friend' - even if he only gave that friend money every so often to keep him 'loyal'. Since the 'friend' won't have that income any more, they might go after the wife - or, better yet, get hitman to go after her for him.
Even if she is a girl, revenge can take people past the point of humanity, just like war.
