Kita's thread brought to my attention that I've never told you lot about these! exclaim

Harry Potter - The Musical(s)

Fan authors pick a musical and rewrite all of the songs in it to suit a Harry Potter book. The Prisoner of Azkaban done to Annie was hilarious, blaugh and my friend enjoyed Chamber of Secrets done to Phantom of the Opera songs even though that one didn't impress me much. talk2hand Making the "Gaston" song from Beauty and the Beast into "Draco" had me laughing so hard my head rolled off my body and all the way down the hall to the kitchen! rofl rofl rofl

*clears throat professionally* So, in conclusion, you MUST read them; you won't regret it! It's a lot funnier if it's done to music you're familiar with, so pick a musical you know.

Oh god I am in love!!! I just had the most enjoyable afternoon singing these to myself (I mean, no I didn't sing at all ...)

I love The Sound of Magic (Chamber of Secrets to the tunes of Sound of Music) My favourite from that is "The Gilderoy Things"

LOCKHART:
Dozens of best-selling books that I've written
Love-happy looks on the ladies I've smitten
Valentines sent out by Cupids with wings
These are a few of the "Gilderoy" things
Pictures of me with my smile that's so cheery
Bright-colored dress robes, I want nothing dreary
Plucking with ease on adoring heartstrings
These are a few of the "Gilderoy" things
People who buy all the lies that I've spouted
It's so amazing so few of you doubted
That I can do all these marvelous things
You can't imagine the joy that it brings
If you catch me
Telling lies, well
This is what I'll do
I'll simply remember my favorite spell
I'll Obliviate you too!

The Order (Order of the Phoenix musical to the tunes of Chicago) I love, love, love "They Sprang the Prison" I'll put up my favourite filked stanzas, because I love lots of them!!

ANTONIN (spoken)
I met Karkaroff out of Durmstrang about twenty years ago.
And he told me he'd like to join and we hit it off right away.
So we started killing together.
He'd go out and torture, he'd kick a**.
Control a few minds, do AK...
And then I found out...
Loyal, he told me. Loyal, my a**! Not only was he spying,
Oh no, He'd sold us all out. One of those double agents, you know.
So now that everything's come flooding back. And I'm out of the clink, like usual..
Some guys just can't take a Crucio!

BELLATRIX
I loved the Dark Lord more than I can possibly say.
He was a really fearless guy, handsome, a Slytherin.
But he was always trying to kill Mudbloods
We'd go out every night looking for Mudbloods
And on the way, we found Tonks, Moody, Longbottom and Potter
I guess you could say we broke up because of unfortunate circumstance.
He knew he was alive, but I thought he was dead!

AND THE ENTIRE OF "VOLDEMORT: THE MASTERMIND OF THE DARK MARK"

I won't put up the whole play but that is all I love of it, equally. I will put up though

A DEATH EATER
Attend the tale of Voldemort
His skin was pale and his patience short
He held the purebloods under his sway
And killed all the others who got in the way
He killed Muggles like it was sport
Did Voldemort
The Mastermind of the Dark Mark.

Genius.

Thankyou MinervaEvenstar, I could eat you up I really could ^_^

I haven't read the Sound of Magic yet, but that song is really good. lol I'm glad you liked them; I find them extremely creative and hilarous. I don't understand why more people aren't looking at this thread...They're missing out!

They are! Dang, I would without a single doubt watch Voldie's past as a musical set to Sweeney Todd. I don't know what planet the creator of that one is from, but they are just too genius for words. I mean, it was perfect. Maybe I'm a bit biased being a lover of the play (and the movie) but that just WORKED! On every level, every part. Beautiful. And again, I could eat you up, I really could.
