It was tacky, yellow and red that was almost blinding. The food smelled horrible, too, and there was this creepy looking clown statue to the right that Gwen swore was staring at her. But it was cheap, and Polly didn't stand out nearly as much as she thought the girl would. In fact, she thought glancing through the glass wall and into the playground area, the little girl seemed to be having the time of her life.
"Yo ho!" Polly shouted, waving her cardboard blade in the air. "Hoist the petard! Man the tackle! We be pirates today!" She had gotten ahold of the old Disney cartoon, Peter Pan, and was now fully in love with the best character in the show. Captain Hook. She stood at the very top of the plastic monstrosity that kids were supposed to climb on, right by the giant, fake helm.
The power was obviously going to her head.

Kisala wandered by the playground. Shiori was holding the girl's hand tightly for a few moments, but then she wiggled free of it and the woman couldn't grab her again-- not if she were going to control the stroller Ajiiel was in at the same time.
"Kisala, where are you going?" She demanded, attempting to whirl the stroller around so that she could recapture the child. Kisala giggled, "There's a playground here!" she informed her mother, "I'mma go play in it!" She entered the fast food place, as it seemed the only way to get to the playground itself, while her mother attempted to move after her.

"Yo ho, blow the man down!!" Polly said before sticking the "sharp" end of the blade into the waistband of her pants and running for the slide. She went down head-first, sliding on her belly on the plastic mats beneath the playground equipment and stopping right in front of the entrance door.

Kisala nearly tripped over the other girl, but managed to stop herself in time, "Hey, watchit!" she called good-naturedly and hopped over Polly, "Dun wanna step on you or anythin'."
Shiori sighed, "Kisala, be careful!" she called through the metal bars as she wheeled the stroller to the door and entered after her daughter. The littler girl in the stroller reached out towards her sister, but Kisala quickly pulled her arm away, "Gotta catch me if you want to pinch me, Ajii!" she said, then tore off for the tunnels.

"Hey!" Polly said, getting to her feet. "I the captain!" she bellowed, chasing after the bigger girl, even if Kisala had said nothing whatsoever about being captain in the first place. "I the captain!"

Kisala didn't really care who was -captain- so long as she got to play and be a pirate and stuff.
"'Kay!" she said, clambering through the tubes and down to the slide where she let herself fall down it, "Whoo!'

"Yay!" Polly said, chasing after her still and sliding down the slide again. "I captain!" she bragged, bringing her paper blade out of her pants and swinging it around.
When she stopped she realized something was missing. "We find treasure!" she said. Then she ran into the tunnels again, this time with a destination.

"Treasure?" Kisala's eyes lit up and she chased after her new friend, "What kind? Where?"
She wanted to have treasure! Especially if it was really -shiny- treasure! "'n Who're you, Captain?"

"I Polly!" Polly said proudly, shoving her thumb at her chest. "An' pirates need treasure! So we find treasure!" In other words, she had no idea if there was treasure or not in the playground, but she was going to look, anyway.

"I'm Kisala!" she wanted to make sure the other girl knew-- so that she could call out commands or whatever. She didn't mind playing second fiddle, really. S'long as she got to be a pirate, she didn't have to be the captain.
Well, whatever. There must be treasure about somewhere. Kisala climbed into the ball pit, "Here, I bet there's treasure in here somewhere."

"Treasure!" Polly agreed, then cannonballed into the ball pin, digging through them to see if she could find anything. She wound up with her feet sticking out in the air, the rest of her completely engulfed by the balls.
She liked to do things whole heartedly.

Kisala was sitting rather than diving, but she was moving around the balls and feeling along the bottom of the ball pit. She could feel a lot of dirt and probably bits of food. The girl's fingers reached something else and she pulled it out. Somebody'd lost a charm to their necklace or something, "Here's a little treasure!" she offered it to the other girl to look at.

There was a muffled sound from the little girl in the balls, and her feet kicked a bit, as if trying, and failing, to resurface. She squirmed more, and the complaining grunts came a little louder.
Polly was stuck.

"Oh!" the older girl pocketed the charm and waded her way over to the littler one, grabbing her by the ankles, "Here, lemme getcha out of there!" she cried, tugging at the girl's feet until she got her out, "There ya go!"

"Is stinky down there," Polly said seriously. "It smell like feet. And no treasure." She pouted at that for a moment. "Let's look somewhere else!" she said, climbing out of the pit and completely forgetting about how she had been trapped.
