RP Log between Felyn & Kisoni
Majiya'Mvua & Rhemi She lifted her leg to pee.
That in itself really should have been the first sign that something was wrong with this. Despite the fact that she'd had a mother in her life as a younger cub, those days seemed all but gone now. Now... the fact that she WAS a she was relatively ignorable.
"DAD," Rhemi barked, running back up to the tree she'd left him under that morning. The girl's dirty white paws trampled over his back and she bit at one of his ears, "DAD! GET UP, DAD!"Maji wouldn't pretend it wasn't hard to raise the little pup, or that it had been easy to start with. He'd never really had any practice with this sort of thing and he was doing the best he knew how. So what if she peed with her leg up? She got the job done and that was all that mattered.
A small groan trickled out from his mug as he felt gritty paws battering his fur, and a tug on his ear. He rolled slightly in an attempt to save the last scraps of sleep, trying to brush her away. However, as it became obvious that he could not rid himself of her for the moment, he decided he might as well get up.
"What is it?" he said with a soft chuckle, though it was tired and strained. His bright eyes flashed open, turning up towards her, then with a grin he rolled on to his back, scooping her up with a paw and tugging her against his chest despite the mud."RRRrrrruff!!" She growled and barked, squirming in a half-hearted attempt to get away. "DDDddaaaaaaadd!!" The female laughed and wriggled against his chest. She nipped at his chin and neck and chest, paws batting at him with no regards whatsoever to the amount of mud they both had on them. Whatever she wanted seemed forgotten in this new bought of play with her 'father'.The word 'father' had never really been that awkward between them. One day he had simply gone from being Maji to instead being her dad. He didn't mind - in fact, he got a big swell of joy every time he heard the word. He couldn't explain it, he just felt better for having the little girl around these days.
"Shh, Rhemi," he said after a minute, rolling his eyes to where the adult female was sleeping a little ways off. She insisted on being around, helping him 'raise' Rhemi, and in turn he had an easier time of hunting. He didnt necessarily appreciate it her hanging around, but what was he to do?
He chuckled and rolled over, dropping the little thing onto the ground and pushing himself up. He gave himself a good shake, glancing off in the direction of the horizon. Then, with a little smirk, he gave her a playful bat with her tail and started off slowly towards a watering hole. Rhemi looked to the female that had... suddenly begun hanging around them. She still wasn't sure what was going on with this, and hadn't had much chance to talk to her. But, it didn't bother her that the female was there either--actually, it was kind of nice. Maybe her 'father' had a girlfriend?
She swatted at his tail, then bounded on after him towards the waterhole. "So Daddy," She asked softly, "Who is that girl anyway?" she looked around and then leaned in, "Dadddyyys gotta girlfriend......?"Maji nearly tripped at her words, his paws stumbling, though he tried his hardest to make his recovery into a fluid motion. Coughing and shaking his head, he took a moment to gather his wits about him. He knew Rhemi could be outspoken, but damn if she didn't surprise him sometimes out of the blue.
"Uh, no," he said finally with a bit of a hesitation and a slight stutter on his words. He coughed, his tail shaking slowly, then gave a weak smile in her direction. "She's hanging around because she offered to me hunt and get food for you. Wild dogs hunt better in groups." He nodded, confident in his explination. Then, almost as an afterthought, he added, "and she thinks I'm not raising you very well. Imagine that.""Oh..." Rhemi paused for a few moments, trotting on after him. "... I think you raise me good." She smiled up at him, not even realizing the horrible grammer. Then she giggled a little, "I could help you hunt too! I'm FIERCE!"He laughed at her as he glanced down, shaking his head rather amusedly. He leaned over slightly, nipping at her ear, then straightened himself again. "I thought so too, but we'll just entertain her for a little while, yeah? She think she's helping, I don't want to crush her spirits."
He laughed again, shutting his eyes for a moment, and then nodded once he opened them again. "Right you are! But I think you're still just a little small. Wouldn't want you to get hurt." He smirked, though, and quirked an eyebrow, "I can give you your first hunting lesson today, if you want though. About time you started learning.""YAY!!" She cheered and laughed, suddenly breaking away from him to race forward towards the waterhole. "I'LL BEAT YOU!"
The girl ran flat out, racing over the hill and down it again till she fell to her stomach on the muddy shore, laughing all the while. "Hhhehehehee... hee... M-maybe.. maybe she LIKES you! that's why she says you're no good. Like.. like how boys are mean when they like a girl!"Maji smirked after the little girl as she took off, laughing softly under his breath before he sped up into a little bit more than a jog. Reaching the water hole a little after her, he let out a long breath like it had taken something out of him. "You're getting fast, squirt!"
He shook his head, though his eyes had widened just noticeably when he sat down near her. "I.. don't think so. She just wanted our help because it was hard for her to hunt alone." SHe didn't like him, not in the slightest - she had made that rather clear. He was amused with Rhemi's enthusiasm, but it was a silly notion.

"I bet you're wrong!" She didn't even know why she was pushing it, but it was fun. The girl giggled and rolled onto her back as she panted, looking up at the lightening sky. "I like it just me and you, though."
He shook his head slowly, sighing softly beneath his breath. There was really no way to convince the little thing once she got her head stuck on anything. "Maybe, Rhem, maybe," he muttered, hoping that was enough to con her into dropping the subject. HE moved to lay down beside her, nosing her belly softly with his maw, a faint smile lingering. "Me too, love, me too. I need her to help feed you though, because you need to eat more now and rabbits wont do it for us anymore."
"Are you calling me fat?"she put her paws on his nose.
He couldn't help the laughter, couldn't help it in the slightest. He rested his nose on her belly, chuckling away, eyes shut. Once he had managed to calm it down, he shook his head just a fraction. "Not in the slightest, squirt. You need lots of food to grow though, or you'll stay a midget forever." His smile turned mischevous, eyes shining in amusement.
"WEll, Ok," She sniffed and laughed, "But i'm not gonna get fat!! Imma be a handsome handsome lady!" she licked his nose and pressed her feet against his chest.
He smirked, quirking his eyebrow at her words. He wasn't sure she was supposed to be using handsome to describe herself instead of pretty, but he wasn't going to argue with her. "Well, I hope not. It'd probably look funny if you were a midget and fat too." His smirk spread into a wicked grin as he nuzzled his nose into her belly in a tickling manner, letting out silly sounding little 'grar' sounds as he did so.
"EEEE DADDYYYY!" She squealed, barking with laughter and wriggling under him. Her paws beat softly against him as she trued to get away. "NO TICKLY MONSTER!!"
He cackled evily at her wiggling and her pleas, pushing himself up onto his feet. "I am the evil tickle monsterr!" he growled out in a deep voice, stance rigid and face screwed up into a frowny glare. Then, with a great cackle, he scooped her up by the scruff of her neck and gave her a good toss into the waterhole.
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" There was a sharp shriek, but happy, as the girl was launched. She'd tried to run away, of course, but he always caught her.
With a large splash she landed in the water, glad there were no crocodiles in this partuclar leg of water--they'd always made sure of that before stopping anywhere like this. After a minute she surfaced and shook her head, "BAD TICKLE MONSTER!!" She yelled at him, knowing only two real volumes--loud and louder.
He laughed as he saw her pop up from the water, her little body soaked. Her words only made him laugh harder, one paw pressed to his gut as he stood on shore. He couldn't remember being this happy before he came across Rhemi, which was a bit of surprise. With all the work that she caused, and all of the responsibility she meant for him, one would think it would be the other way around. However, he really truly felt happier with her around.
"Aww, I'm sorry," he finally muttered, putting on a pouty face as he edged near the shore. Then, with a smirk on his maw, he leapt out with a growl - splashing water in her direction as he landed in the hole.

"No you're no--AHHAHAHAHAA!" She screamed and tried to turn and run. Of course, she was rather far out already so the girl ended up doggy-paddling away at top speed. Or, in other words, hardly budging until waves from his body sent her out further. She dived under, the water already starting to clean out some of her fur--though it was never as white as it should be anymore-- and she resurfaced to spit water at him.
He frowned as she dipped under water, able to stand up in the water where she couldn't. He waded out, peering at the murk around him, and only noticed the white figure at the last second. As the water splashed against his cheek, he laughed aloud.
"You little squirt!" he bellowed out, dipping under the water until he could come up beneath her, then resurfaced so that she was sprawled over his back - then he began to wade out into deeper waters.
: "I GOT YOU!" She crowed, then 'oofed' when she was 'picked up. Thecubshook herself and then stood on his back, as best she could anyway, looking out at the water as he began to swim. She knew how, of course, but ... not very well. "DADDYYYyyyyyy." She whined a little, somewhat afraid. The girl leaned forward to tug his ear, "Go back!"
He quirked an eyebrow at her, tossing a glance over his shoulder at her as best as he could. "If you want it, squirt," he said with a weak grin. He didn't want to scare her, not in the slightest, and he would have flown her back to the shore if he had wings to do it.
"Here we go," he said finally, back in shallow water, wiggling his back a little as he crouched down.
She jumped off and attempted to kiss the water. That rather backfired though, and a moment later she clutched her nose, "IT BURNS"
His eyebrows shot up a bit as she exclaimed that, frozen for a minute in disbelief. Then with a shake of his head, he leaned over to nose her paws away. "Blow out real hard," he said with a nod, eyebrows instead furrowed now in worry. No, she wasn't precisely harmed - but she was in some form of pain, and that made his stomach twist more than he would have ever guessed.
She did so, the force of it sending her back as she shot water out of her nose. There was a blink and then she made a face. "EEWWWWWW i can taste boogars!"
He laughed at her, unable to help it, though it wasn't in a mocking manner - more or less that of a parent whose child did something incredibly amusing. "Aww, but your nos doesn't burn anymore, right love?" He wiggled his eyebrows, batting a bit of water at her, "besides, boogars are good for you."
"EWW DAD!!" She yelped, "You'll get boggars in my fur!!" She ran out of the water after that, shaking herself on the shore, and began to try and tidy down her fur. That only lasted a minute or so before she looked up at him--totally messy and uncombed still--"I bet other dads arn't as mean as you!" of course, she was only teasing.
Maji laughed at her as she ran out of the water, watching her lope on shore and try to clean herself. He didn't bother to mention that the water probably would have been much easier to wash away all the 'boogars' with. He began his own trek out of the water, going at a much slower pace, and much more relaxed than his daughter's exit had been. "Oh yeah? I bet other daughters aren't as silly as you." He smirked and stopped beside her, waving his tail at her nose.

Rather than protest, the girl 'ruff'ed and leapt up to bat at his tail with both fore paws. "NO ONE is sillier than me!" She protested.
He grinned as his tail was batted, wiggling it around and plopping it against her maw when he could. "Oh, of course not! You are the queen of silly!" He smirked, reaching up with a paw to bat at her ears. "Want to go wake up Kinga?
"YEAH!" Rhemi laughed at the idea, tail waggling. She bit his tail one last time, then barked at him and went racing back up the hill to pounce on Kinga as she had Maji only a short while earlier.
He smirked, shaking his head as his 'daughter' disappeared over the crest of the hill. Then, with a soft sigh of contentment, he began his own trek after the little girl - though he fully expected to be met with some form of fury once he got there. Kinga was pretty good at that.
