Vindy floated lazily on her back in the middle of the small lake. It felt nice to be in the cool water on a warm day like this. She had come down earlier to wash herself off from her morning hunt, but ended up staying in the water. She was thinking now of where she would be sleeping tonight. She felt like sleeping out under the stars would be nice for a change. Recently she'd been trying to find a more permanent home, but hadn't been having much luck.

Arun slowly walked up to the lake for a drink, as his throut was dry. He slowly lowered his head down, and started to drink some of the lake water. He hadn't even noticed the ulaya floating in the distence, he was oblivious at time. After a few minutes of drinking, he lifted his head up. But was suprised when the floating ulaya had drifted his way some. "Ahhh!!" He screamed out, not knowing exactly how to act to this.

Brought out of her own musings violently, she screamed as she heard someone yelling at her in what sounded to be some sort of attack. She splashed around wildly for a moment before finally calming down enough to look around her to see where the noise had come from. What she saw made her blush in embarrassment. It was another Ulaya, who looked just about as shocked as she was. "Oh," she said to the stranger. "Hello there."

Arun shook off what water splashed onto him, his heart was still racing over the scare he had gotten. This ulaya seemed just as scared as he was, and he didn't want to seem rude and just run away from embaressment. "H-hi, i'm sorry for screaming." He said as he lowered his head a bit, as he was embaressed over the whole situation. "I didn't mean to scare you, I was scared a bit too." He mumbled out.

"That's alright." She said, making her way to the shore. "You just startled me, that's all." She climbed up onto the ground and shook herself off, careful to not soak this new person. "I'm Vindy, it's nice to meet you." She said, throwing him a grin.

He looked up at Vindy and gave her a smile. "My name is Arun, and it's nice to meet you too. Just as long as we don't go back to screaming in fear at eachother." He said, as he laughed at himself. He was slowly loosining up, trying to be friendly to this new ulaya. As he needed himself more friends.

Vindy laughed at his comment, and sat down beside him. "So what brings you out here today?" She asked. She was glad for the company. It had been nice having the peaceful lake to herself, but she had had enough alone time for one day.

"I got thirsty, so I stopped by the lake for a drink of water." He said as he turned to look at the water. "It seems there aren't as many places to grab a drink where I was coming from, so this lake was the perfect place to stop and rest. He said as he turned back to Vindy.

"Ah yes, I guess there aren't that many sources of water close to here." She replied. My he was a very bright Ulaya! his fur was the color of a burning sunset. It was very pretty. "I was actually just about to catch some fish..." she said. "Would you like to join me?"

He thought about it for a few seconds, then nodded at her. "Sure, some food would be nice to have right about now." He said as his stoumach started grumbling. "My stoumach seems to agree with me." He said with a small laugh.

She laughed at his grumbling stomach, and hers grumbled as well. "The fishing here is actually very good." She said, peering at the water trying to spot a fish. Catching fish was harder than it looked, but Vindy had gotten better at it recently.

He looked at the lake and nodded. "That's good to know, a few fishing holes i've been too. The fish don't want to come near anything above water." He said as he got up, and walked to the edge of the water.

She stalked around the edge of the lake for awhile, trying to spot the darker moving shapes that would be fish. Finally spotting one, she crept up to the waters edge, and readied her paw to swat at it. She struck at just the right moment, and the fish landed on the bank with a squishy thwack. "I got one!" She exclaimed, grinning at Arun.

He watched her easily catch one, and figured it would be easy for him too. He slowly watched them move around in the water, saw his chance and grabed at a fish. He quickly pulled it out, to see that it was quit long. He turned to Vindy and had a show offish look on his face. "I got one too" He said, with a smirk. Not realizing he loosined his grip a bit. Enough for the fish to easily smack him a few times in the face with it's tail. Cuasing his to let go of the fish completely, not wanting to let it get away he tried grabbing at it. But it kept flopping closer and closer back to the water. He lunged at the fish one more time, but it was too late. The fish had made it's way into the water, and apperently so did he.

Vindy laughed as the fish whapped him with it's tail, and laughed a bit more when he fell in the lake after the fish. "Oh no!" She said, dashing over to make sure he was alright. "That was very unfortunate." She said with a more serious face.
