- Starting in the first full week of September, Smackdown! will no
longer be airing on Thursday nights on UPN. Earlier this year, UPN
announced that Smackdown! was being bumped to Friday nights, a decision
taken solely by UPN and at that time without WWE''s knowledge. With the
change coming, WWE decided to rename the show officially to ''Friday
Night Smackdown!'' Officials were not thrilled with the shift mainly
because Friday nights is a time when WWE''s target demographic is out
partying and not watching television at home. The first Smackdown! on
Friday will be on the 9th. The contract with UPN expires in the Summer
of next year.

Anyway, I'm not really all that surprised, after UPN messed with Hassan's character and everything. It's just too bad I won't be watching it or anything...

Well the smackdown move was set before the whole Hassan thing, There not gonna do as good being on fridays, but at least I get to watch CSI on Thursdays now without flipping channels between that and Smackdown. So I won't any of either of them

Yes! I've been having the same conflict issues! And usually, my fav. episodes of CSI are playing the same night when Smackdown! is worth watching gonk

UPN sucks like that. The WWE should take it to USA with RAW. UPN began to suck years ago when thsy stopped playing good cartoons on Saturday morning. gonk

I know! I looked forward to those cartoons, but then I started to get old reruns of crap like Eve and Jerry Springer.....curses!!

Usually I'm doing something important (like homework) when Smackdown comes on, so I tend to forget about it. Maybe I'll remember now since it's coming on Fridays and I don't have classes or anything to get ready for the next day.

Hey Natasha! Hope you stick around.
Anyways the biggest conflict with me for SMackdown! was that I had to prepare for exams or homework but with Friday, preparation goes to Sunday and I can watch.

I already knew with the tape and stuff but USA tv is having RAW not Smackdown! and with another note. Friday Night Smackdown! that name sounds weird.
