The chocolate lioness was exicted. She'd met two cubs, and an adolescent, two of which she had been related to, and most recently she'd met a nice lion by the name of Kubwa. She hoped Ezekiel would be pleased with her, as she was happy that she was making progress with her social skills. A happy purr erupted from her throat as she lay down gently and turned her maroon eyes to the clouds above. Eyes she had inherited from her father.
Her family, those she had not seen for awhile. It saddened her. They would not have forgotten her though, she hoped. She'd be visiting her father soon and with any luck would see a few siblings. She needed to drop by and see Mchengo and her children. Mia smiled contentedly and watched the long grass sway in the afternoon breeze.

Indaba yawned and stretched, shaking sleep away after his afternoon nap. It would be time to go hunting soon, and being well-rested was important for such strenuous exercise. The last thing he needed was to be too slow and get kicked in the face - then there'd be no more Indaba, period. It was something he would prefer to avoid.
As he trotted across the lands, though, he saw something that distracted him from thoughts of his hunting duties entirely - a very familiar chocolate shape. Maw splitting into a delighted grin, he ran forward, calling out, "Mia!"

Indaba! Speaking of family! The lioness smiled widely, marroon eyes reflecting the joy of suprise as she pulled herself up from the groud and padded to meet her brother. Nuzzling him gently, she remembered his features vividly, a white and black coat, with similar markings to father, and some from mother, she had been told. In her mathematical mind she had labelled him as number 10. Her mind was so used to being organised in this way, that she nearly blurted out the number as opposed to greeting him with his name.
Softly, she spoke. "Indaba, How are you?"

"I'm wonderful," he answered happily, nuzzling his sister with affectioante enthusiasm. "How have you been? It seems like I haven't seen you in ages!" And there was hardly any excuse for not visiting family when you lived in the same pride - he should have been better about that! He'd have to do better than getting caught up in the day-to-day swing of things.

"I'm glad!" She looked over her brother warmly. "Yes I've been good too." She gave him a nod. Little did Indaba know, she was also feeling bad about not visting him, but she'd been so busy and supposed Indaba and her other family members must have things they'd rather be getting on with. Like Mchengo and her cubs for example. "So, what's been going on?" Mia asked sweetly. "Seen anyone else recently?"

"That's great!" Indaba was just as happy to hear that his sister was well and he was to see her in the first place. If she hadn't been, he would've felt especially terrible about not having seen her until now to cheer her up; but that wasn't the case, so it was nothing to worry about! "No, I'm afraid not," he confessed, ears falling back. "Have you?"

She nodded enthusiastically. So he hadn't seen anyone either? It was quite funny, given that they all lived in the same pride. Something father told her once, rang in her ears lightly. Others must find their own path, and sometimes they must leave, never to return, but sometimes they will. Mia would never leave, she belonged here, and she wouldn't leave father, she would miss him too much!
"Ooh" She was oddly excitable around family, especially as she could reveal her days activities to Indaba. "Well, I've seen Alamar, our nephew, and I met this great lion who is Mcheles daughters son!" Her mind doubled in thinking speed. "That makes him our great nephew. But apart from that, nobody." She looked down sadly.

"W-We have a nephew?" Indaba's eyes widened while his ears dropped back in an expression of guilty surprise. "And a...a great nephew? I didn't know that!" Oh no! How could he not have known? And which sibling did Alamar belong to? He couldn't even guess!
Oh, what a terrible uncle this made him! What a terrible brother. The black and white lion was absolutely crestfallen.

Her eyes widened. "Didn't father tell you, or didnt you hear from anybody?" She was now worrying that her brother had been lonely. Poor Indaba, he really had no idea. Mia continued anyway. "Yes! Mchengos cubs, and Malaika has some older ones now, and and, our great nephew, I suppose his family is more complicated to explain." She stopped there. "Don't worry though, 'Daba!" She gave him a comforting look. Poor number 10.

"No," he said, the whole of his posture drooping just as his ears had. Everyone else had known? Everyone but him? He could have cried! "Nobody told me at all. It's my fault though, really. I haven't been keeping up the way I should."
Guilt weighed heavy on the hunter, who sat forlornly down. He couldn't help but worry.

"Ohh, Indaba!" The female looked sad, and remotely cublike. "Please don't be sad.." She neared him and nuzzled him. "It's not your fault, alot has been happening, and the Pridelands is a big place..." She trailed off. Sitting next to him and trying to comfort him, she smiled suddenly. "We could always visit them someday!" Mia brightened up at the idea, and hoped Indaba would too.

To Inaba, there didn't seem to be any good excuse at all for not keeping up with his family. It just....it just wasn't right! They were his family, after all. They were supposed to be close. His ears did tip forward ever-so slightly, though, when Mia mentioned going to visit them together. "You'd come with me?"

"Of course." She smiled to see her offer had made somewhat of an effect on the upset male. "We could visit whoever you want. Dad? Mchengo? Malaika?" Maroon eyes brightened with the females exictment. "Whoever you wanted!" Mia was sure that none of the family would be upset that Indaba hadn't visited earlier, knowing her family, they'd just be happy at the fact that he was paying them a visit now. Smiling up at her brother she nodded again. "Yup, of course 'Daba!"

"Everyone," he answered, "I need to see everyone. It's been so long!" Of course, in their family, 'everyone' was a lot of relatives. Father, siblings, now even nieces and nephews. He really hoped they wouldn't be upset at him for keeping to himself for so long.

"Then everyone shall be seen!" She smiled gently. She herself desperately needed to see her father, it had been awhile and she was very much daddies little girl. However she had promised to meet Kubwa again, and needed time to thank 'Zeki for his advice and such, and so, the chocolate lioness turned to her brother with a wide smile. "I need to go and do something, but I promise I will return, and then we shall visit our family." Mia nodded. She would keep this promise, as she knew that this was important to Indaba. Nuzzling him gently she looked up at his face with a cublike innocence. "Okie?"
