With all the genres they slapped in with that game, they have quite a bit of leeway with what she can wear, and what sort of items, weapons and equipment she can use...Katanas have a bit of curve to them, but if we really wanted to stretch things, she could be using a cross between a cutlass and a katana. Besides, she's not just a ninja pirate, she's an AMAZON ninja pirate. Geesh. That entitles her to not wear much clothing and to wield all sorts of weapons, including the bow and arrow and spears...heck, since it's space, she could even use energy/laser weapons if she wanted, or the game designers allowed it.
Too many genres. -_-;
